They have etched shades and are small enough to set on a desk or a table. These lamps have a 10 prisms ring around them. They measure 13 ½” tall with a 4” square base at the bottom. I love these lamps they are so small and unique and look perfect on a nightstand for reading. The plug is what makes them unique they have a slide on off switch the likes of which I have never seen before. This dates these lamps back to the before the 40’s. Please see pics. With vintage custard glass light shades. The lamp measures approx. 18" tall. X 16" wide, the felt cover base bottom is 4-1/2" in diameter The glass shades measures approx. 5-1/2" tall x 6-3/4" in diameter. The two custards shades don't match totally. One is darker when turned on and is made of thicker glass, also it has a chip on the ruffled edges(see photos below) The brass lamp is in Very Good condition. With original brass patina, has a rotary Leviton on/off switch and good power cord. Some oxidation on the brass plated steel fitters and surface rust on the cast iron base.

This listing is for a beautiful banker's style desk lamp with gorgeous black glass shade and black marble and brass base. I believe the marble on the base is real as lamp is very heavy at 4.5 lbs. But the marble on the column feels faux, but I could be wrong. I believe the brass is also real as magnets do not stick to it. Black glass shade is intact and is not broken and it has no chips or cracks. The brass base is tarnished and could use a polishing. I will leave that to the new owner. The lamp is in working order and turns on with the pull chain. All electrical looks good. UL listed sticker is inside the lamp shade. Sale includes light bulb shown. Beautiful lamp. Harp style slag glass desk lamp---similar to Handel and Bradley& Hubbard (B&H)
Nice harp style desk lamp with six panel slag glass shade. The lamp is 13 1/2" tall and 9" wide. The slag glass shade is 7 1/2" wide and 4" tall with a 2 1/4" fitter. The harp and socket are brass and the base appears to be spelter. It's been rewired at some point and works well.The socket is the original weber with a patent dated UNO fitter. Unfortunately the date on the fitter is worn and hard to read. The six panel slag glass shade is in good shape with no cracks or losses. Please veiw all the pictures. A very nice lot of three antique. Circa 1920's, green over white glass desk lamp shades. The largest is marked: Emeralite. It measures 3-5/8" tall by 10-1/2" wide by 5-1/4" deep. Tiny shallow chip to white on inner edge- not visible on exterior. The next largest is marked: Made in Germany. It measures 3" tall by 8-3/4" wide by 4-1/2" deep. The holes on each end are 1/2" diameter. Teeny shallow- hardly visible- chip to back center edge. The smaller shade has a fine acid etched desgn. It is marked: Emer-lite, Czechoslovakia. It measures 2-1/2" tall by 7-7/8" wide by 3-1/4" deep. Miniscule back edge chip- hardly visible. The three shades are for one price.

Hendrikk Hérens was born on December 4. 1893 in Amsterdam. He took a course in drawing at the Academy of Art in The Hague and then was an assistant to the restoration of the stained glass windows of St. John's Church in Gouda. In 1919 he started his own studio in Honselersdijk(Netherlands) where he made stained and leaded-glass windows. The workshop was called The Honsel. And later The New Honsel. His first lamps were faithful decorations. But gradually he went on to the expressionist Amsterdam School style. He designed lamps for major clients such as De Bijenkorf and cinema Tuschinsky. 1] He also made for individuals lamps in the Tuschinsky style. In 1921 the studio moved to Loosduinen and in 1923 to The Hague. The workshop closed in 1929. Pen, and paper-etc. to be placed on(see pics) with original green felt on it-the felt could be replaced by buyer to freshen up the platform/lamp with a nice navy blue felt pad-it would look lovely-I have left it as it is in original undisturbed condition for the integrity ... moreof the piece so you see that the felt is worn and aged and dusty but is very easy to place a new piece of felt of your choosing(see pics of this feature) The switch to the lamp is located on the front of the platform/base-it is slightly askew and turns on and off well, I have not tried to straighten it. The double-curved-arms and the sockets/holders have some tarnishing/wear/and oxidation to the surfaces and to the finish-the socket holders have some rusting-please see pics-some parts are metal and some parts may be brass-the rod and/or arms may be brass or metal I am unsure-please view pics. Lamp works well and takes standard bulbs or candelabra bulbs like the ones which I used in the lamp in pics-see pics. The 2 glass shades have lovely art deco designs(see pics) Each one measures approx. 4.5" tall x 4" wide-the glass shades have no cracks or stains but have some chips on the top rims(please see pic provided and realize these chips) which are the rims that fits under the metal holders-the chips are not seen as the rims fit into and under the metal holders-please view pics to understand description. ANTIQUE HANDEL LILY PAD DESK LAMP; RARE YELLOW GREEN SLAG GLASS; DUFFNER ERA
For sale is a beautiful documented Handel lily lamp as shown in pictures 1-12. This lamp is relatively rare in that its glass color is not Handel's standard dark green. Rather. It is a lighter striated yellow green. Also the base metal and the metal holding the petals has a lighter golden brown patina that is more in keeping with the muted colors of the glass. The true patina color is shown in natural sun light in photo 3. The true color of the glass is shown in natural light in photos 2& 3. Although the base and shade are unsigned. This lighter colored variation of Handel's lily lamp is pictured(documented) in"The Handel Lamp Book" by Hibel. Hibel& Fontaine at page 30 at the top right. It is also documented at the site leadedlamps.com under Handel lamps. The lily pad base of these lamps were made of cast iron and ... morethus much more difficult to emboss with the Handel mark than the softer pot metal table lamps. Hence, most of these lily pad bottoms had weak lettering(a couple of letters) to no impressions at all. The lamp has been rewired with a period appropriate brown cloth cord that has been spliced at the bottom. See photos 9& 10. The lamp has its original bakelight plug. photo 8) The socket has a GE paddle. Photo 12. The socket works perfectly. The socket shell is spot welded closed at two spots. You can see one of them in photo 2. The shade is 4 inches long from back to front tip(i.e. The front to back diameter) The shade's side to side diameter is 4 1/2 inches wide. The shades front opening is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. It takes one of the narrow pointed bulbs. Unfortunately. The lamp has one panel of glass missing. Fortunately, it is in the least conspicuous spot. The underside. The framing for the petal is still intact. The missing piece can only be noticed by viewing the lamp from the back side(photo 11) or from the underside(photo 12) Because of Handel's overlapping petal pattern, the loss is barely noticable. This is a vintage desk lamp from the early/mid 1900"s. Its in very nice shape. The lamp is brass or brass plated. And stands at about 12 inches in height The shade is made of glass and is a whitish yellowish mother of pearl color. There is a base underneath the glass shade with glass cut crystals. American Brass KLEEMAN 1870 Student Desk Oil Lamp/Milk Glass Shade-Converted
Up for consideration is this antique C.A. Kleeman& C.F.A. Hinrichs New York kerosene brass student desk lamp. This lamp has been electrified over the years and appears to have been done in a way that could easily be converted back to original without issue. However, I am not certain. It is in overall very good/strong antique condition and I believe will restore nicely. I believe that the milk glass shade is original however I cannot verify if correct or original. The shade does have some small rim nicks here and there from use where it sits on the shade ring. I do not have the chimney that would have also been with this lamp. I see no dents in the brass. The fuel tank appears original and without issue and has the pin on the bottom. This piece does move if you push the pin up and down, not sure if this is correct or if you pull the pin ... moredown to secure? Height adjustment knob turns( a little hard) but does work and lamp slides up an down. Shade ring or arm(not sure which) appears slightly tilted so I put a level on the ring to show you. I do not want to try to adjust or bend at all, I will leave that decision to the new owner. As you can see the brass needs to be cleaned, bottom of lamp is covered in green felt. Vintage Pair Of Ship's Wheel Wood & Glass Small Desk Lamps Both Work No Shades
This auction is for a pair of ship's wheel desk or nightstand lamps. The bases and spindls appear to be made of maple but stained cherry. There is a hobnail glass cleft halfway up each lamp. Most of the metal separating the wood and glass is brass. There are no lampshades with these lamps. Without a light bulb. They stand 9 inches tall. The base measures 6 inches across from end of one hand grip to another. Both lamps work, but the cords are the old cloth covered rubber cords, and they're both decaying. Here's an extremely ornate and beautiful circa early 1920s octagonal gothic style desk lamp. There are 8 wonderful early slag pieces on the top and bottom of the lamp. Encapsulating the light. This is absolutely stunning and is all original as I purchased the lamp 30+ years ago. One of the nicest and most unusual lamps ive ever seen. The original lamp hardware was made by Weber Patents 250 w universal. The lamp is unmarked or perhaps I'm completely missing the makes mark. Heavy lamp weighing 13.4 lbs. The fire slag has beautiful reds, oranges and amber color and is absolutely stunning in the natural light. The solid base is wondrous and has some extremely ornate detail, covered in fleur de lis style designs. Lamp measures roughly 25" tall from bottom of base to top of ornate finial. The shade itself measures roughly 12.5" ... morewide by roughly 12" high and the base of lamp is roughly 6.75" wide. There's one small break/chip in the slag on top of the lamp as seen in the top shade flipped upside down image. The lamp disassembled quite easily as seen in the last picture. This is a Bradley& Hubbard art nouveau desk lamp. It is unsigned but is of the typical casting quality and style of Bradley& Hubbard pieces. It is a heavy bronze cast material and has wonderful patina. The cord has been replaced at some point in time and the plug is still original. One of the slag glass panels has a crack in it but it would be easy to have another piece of slag glass cut of the same color shade and fit into the lamp as this glass is a flat panel. The decorative filigree is in perfect condition. There are no cracks anywhere and absolutely no missing pieces. This lamp is unlike another B&H nouveau desk lamp on eBay that has chunks of filigree missing and badly damaged glass with a high asking price. My lamp has a reasonable reserve.
