Antique Fostoria GWTW Hand Painted Cosmos (?) Flowers / Floral Oil Lamp Base
Antique Fostoria GWTW Hand Painted Cosmos Flowers(I believe) Oil Lamp Base Cast iron foot is marked" FG" 617" If there is no bid in the first 24 hours we WILL put a reserve on it or END the auction. This GWTW oil lamp base is in great condition! See all pictures as they are part of our description! It measures approx 10 1/2" to the top of the brass rim. The cast foot is approx 6" square. The widest part of the font is approx 7 1/2" wide(at the two feathery leaf designs sticking out on the sides) The inside of the base. Where an oil pot sits(not included) is 4 3/4" in diameter by 3" deep. The glass base/font is in great shape and the colors include greens. Yellows, pinks and a touch of brown accents. There are some dirty spots and possibly some fading. It might come out nicer with a deeper cleaning and ... morepolishing, but will leave that up to the high bidder. I basically dusted it for pics. There are four seams on this glass font. The foot and the front/back don't line up squarely and you can see this in the first four pictures of the front and sides. There are raised feathery/leafy designs in the glass at the top and bottom edges and on the two sides. The two sides have a slightly different feathery/leafy design. There is also a wide swirled rib pattern in the glass. I believe the flowers are Cosmos flowers. Or something similar. I can see some heavy swirls in the glass. Which adds nice character. There are no cracks on this base. But I do see a chip which is on the rim where the oil pot liner sits, although the liner does not cover this rim very well. It could be possible this is not the original liner. The oil pot liner has some wear and some light surface rust. But that is usual for these old lamps. It is magnetic, so it is not brass. The brass connector between the foot and glass font is not magnetic and in good shape. It does have some wear to the finish. But no cracks. The cast iron foot has a slight rock to it. Also one of the ball pull chains does not have the"catch" to keep the light on. This should be a simple fix. The slag glass paint has not faded. The base has 3 slag glass panels. All of the panels fit securely on the lamp. The gold coloring cast iron(I believe is cast iron) has started to fade in some places. We believe the lamp was made by Pittsburgh. The lamp shade measure's 18" in width and 7" in height. The base measure's 7-1/2" The total height of the lamp is 23" One of the clips that hold a slag panel in on the shade is missing. The best I can make out is Plux. You can tell the light socket part is new& the plug at the end of the cord is new. It is in excellent shape and a beautiful lamp. Only the felt on the base is ripped and has a 1-¼ x 2-¼ piece tore out. Thought about keep it for myself. I will not ship with a light. All descriptions given are our honest opinion. Antique Porcelain Lamp. Lovely Hand Painted Roses, Marble Base& Bronze Hardware Old vintage. Most probably antique, hand painted floral porcelain marble base and bronze hardware. Rewired with a switch change, but not recently. Transitional style of the upper porcelain section is reminiscent of the oil tank on a Victorian oil lamp which was common with very early electric lamps. There are a couple of scratches to the floral paint, but overall the lamp is in very good condition and the roses are still very beautiful. This lamp would make a great addition to your Victorian décor, home or B&B. Very collectable and authentic 19th or early 20th century.

Antique Oil Lamp Base & Shade, GWTW Hand Painted, Cast Brass, Restoration, Parts
A ntique oil or kerosene lamp base and shade are hand painted in Gone With the Wind style. Both pieces are milk glass with maroon and pink flowers with white and blue with beading. Each is painted on both sides. The base is more teal than. The shade more blue and shade has a yellow band on the bottom rim. The base is cast bronze or brass with an ornate design and a screw in opening. There is no burner or chimney. It has not been electrified and there are no cracks. There is chipping on both rims of the shade only. There is discoloration around the area where there is paint loss. Possibly from spilled oil. Still good condition for it's age, which dates to the late 1800's to early 1900's and being sold as found, could be a fun restoration project. This is heavy and large. Up for auction is an antique porcelain and brass oil lamp base recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia. PA area. It is offered in as found condition with a chunk taken out of the pedestal form base, best seen in photo#6. It is signed on the base, but I cannot make it out. It has a Meissen style quality. This oil lamp measures approximately 4 1/2" tall with a base measuring approximately 2 3/8" x 2 3/8" in size. One side has a woman in a garden setting with houses in the background. Primary colors are turquoise, pink, purple and gold on a white porcelain background. The collar area is approximately 1 1/8" in size. A very nice candidate for repair. Best of luck in bidding. Blue& yellow flowers with gilt trim and an ornate bronze colored base. This beautiful lamp has a brand new light tan lamp shade that has dangling beaded work that hangs off the edges of the lamp shade. This shade goes beautifully with the lamp and just compliments the lamp in every way. The lamp is in fair condition with a piece of the lamp arm that has been glued back on. I have tried to document this in the pictures. It is not something that you would see unless you were inspecting this area very closely. Not much is know about this lamp. I am not sure who made it. But it has great design and character. It seems to be hand painted with gold and silver floral design that is just beautiful. The brass base has great character as well. The top piece and the lamp shade are missing but they could easily be replaced. This is a great lamp. My best guess is that it is from the 1950s.

Very fine early kerosene lamp. The base is milk glass with hand painted white Egret. the font is amber glass, it is 3 piece mold. The milk glass base is mounted on a cast iron black base, and has some stress crazing where the brass is fitted to the milk glass. see photos. approx. 13.5" tall x 6" dia there is age wear in evidence on the painting. VINTAGE ANTIQUE HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN VASE LAMP MOUNTED ON BRASS FINISH BASE
Charming porcelain lamp made from a hand painted vase. Decorated on the front and back with two different vignettes and gilt trim on the handles and the neck of the vase. It is impossible to determine with any certainty the origin of the vase without taking the lamp apart to see the porcelain marks. Dimensions: 25" height to the top of the finial. 4 ½" height of the metal base, 15 ½" height to the bottom of the bulb socket. The metal base is 8" long and 6" wide. Weight 6 ½ lb without any packing materials. The lamp is offered for sale with harp and finial but WITHOUT the lampshade. The lampshade is old and has developed some foxing spots- see photos- it would have to be recovered with a new fabric. If the buyer would like the lampshade"as is" It is free of charge, just for the price of shipping. ... moreIt would have to be shipped as a separate package at buyers risk& expense.
