French Antique Signed Art Nouveau A Rucho Bronze Patina Spelter Newel Post Lamp
Antique French newel post lamp Heroic female figure in spelter with a brass foliate circle both with attractive bronze patinantion and two sockets with copper plated iron cups Signed A Rucho on the base and marked Made in France dating from around 1910 It is currently wired for a newel post with no cord. Some of the wiring and the switch have been updated and the lamp is working The original(broken) switch is taped inside the base with blue tape It stands 17 1/4 inches(44 cm) tall to the top of the highest socket The figure is 12 inches(30.5 cm) tall The base measures 2 7/8 inches across the bottom The surface shows wear and age but overall has really good bronze patination There is some damage to the leaves as you can see in the closeup pictures. Antique Bradley & Hubbard Bronze Lamp and Smoker's Stand Art Nouveau Era
This Bronze stand has two Bradley& Hubbard Makers' Marks on the bottom of the base and on the bottom of the removable threaded ashtray. The piece has an overall height of 28 inches and is 12 inches wide at its widest part. It is made from what appears to be very heavy solid bronze with the original chocolate patina intact. Truly a collector's piece! Please note that the threading which the ashtray screws into is slightly bent and may need to be replaced which is a simple fix. I included photos of this so that you can see what I am reffering too.

19c Art Nouveau Handpainted Lady Iris Portrait Sevres Vase / Urn Lamp Bronze
Stunning 19c Art Nouveau Handpainted Sevres Style French Portrait Vase/Urn converted to a lamp. This lovely lamp is 22.5" tall and 7.5" wide. The porcelain urn is about 13" tall. It has wonderful details of a maiden surrounded by pretty Iris flowers. It is artist signed" Brices or Bricey? Nice gold detailing. The lamp works. But it needs to be rewired for safety. The two lamp chain pulls are different. I did not take apart the lamp or attempt a cleaning- I will leave that up to the experts. There is not a Sevres mark on the bottom of the porcelain, but there could be a mark on the inside of the urn lid. Now for condition: The metal is in good condition and the porcelain is also in good condition with no chips. Cracks, or crazing. There is a lot of gold detailing which is mostly intact on the center portion of the vase. ... moreThere is some minor gold loss on the lid, with more gold loss on the bottom portion of the vase. The paint is mostly intact with the exception of the bottom piece of the vase were there is more paint loss wear and some yellow spots. The lamp stands at just a slight angle, but I think it just needs to be adjusted with the vase pieces and the lamp stem/rod. Please pardon all the reflection/glare lines- these are not flaws. I'm not an expert on this type of lamp, so I've tried to describe as best as possible. Very beautiful antique vase/urn lamp. The figure alone is 19 in. tall and sits on a 61/2" diameter wood base marked Germany The soldier is holding a flag in each hand although one arm has broken off cleanly as shown in the pictures.I have the intact arm and both flags. Lamp Art Nouveau French Bronze Sculpted Thistle Listed Artist Leleu Paris(#3121)
Bronze oil lamp with thistle theme modelled in relief. Made in France and artist signed Georges Leleu and Salon 1904. Classic Art Nouveau bronze relief. Stands 13 1/2 inches high. Round base is just under 7 1/4 inches in diameter. Superb modelling of thistles and thistle leaves sweep in typical Art Nouveau whiplashed waves around the base and then swoosh up the leg of the lamp. That curves and widens to echo the elegant curves below. Relief thistle leaves curve up the leg, ending in flowers near the shoulders. The top of the leg widens, almost like a mushroom and is similarly modelled with swooping waves and thistle flowers. The lamp has impressed signature of G Leleu and Salon 1904 on the outside rim. L&F Moreau were two brothers who were part of the Moreau dynasty of sculptors from Dijon. France in the 19th century. L&F Moreau were perhaps best known for creating highly ornate clocks and garniture sets in both bronze and spelter. The L stands for L ouis Auguste(1855-1919) Known for bronzes and metal sculptures. The F stands for Hippolyte F rancois(1857-1930) A painter and sculptor. Both of these men were each well-known artists and today are listed in the various important art guides(Davenports, Who's Who, etc. and their work commands high prices and they have exceptional auction records- their original bronzes commonly bring upwards of $10,000. Their L&F Moreau studio was their business partnership which produced spelter copies of both of their bronze sculptures(spelter is a bronze-like Pot metal that is lighter weight ... morethan bronze and made primarily from zinc) It's important to note that L&F Moreau also individually produced bronze and spelter pieces and signed them Auguste and Hippolyte. but those signed with L&F Moreau marks were produced by this partnership studio. The saga of the original century plus old L&F French bronze molds that went underground to escape WWII destruction reads more like a scenario for a motion picture thriller than a chapter in the history of art. It all began in Paris in the 2nd half of the 19th Century. A group of talented artists. Trained at L'Ecole des Beaux Arts, developed a distinctive style that epitomized the classical grandeur rooted in ancient Greece and Rome. V. de Croismare( G rande V errerie de Croismare) The brothers Eugène and Désiré Muller worked with Emile Gallé in Nancy. Around 1895 Eugène Muller began his own manufacture of art-glass in Croismare. Near Lunéville( Grande Verrerie de Croismare) and the brothers founded, around 1910, a glass manufacture in Lunéville. At this time the glassworks in Croismare were well-known. Up for auction is a Vintage Pre-40s Art Nouveau Nude Woman Figurine Bronze Lamp with Globe Shade. This is a beautiful piece. There is no damage whatsoever to this lamp. I have tested it and it works with no issue. The Globe Shade is not damaged as well. There is some discoloration around the base of the globe but I think it is from it setting on the bronze. A little rubbing compound should remove the staining. It is slight. I was unable to establish the origin of this lamp, and I am a very good researcher. At the base of the lamp there is the word Moonlight. I have found another lamp with an identical globe and words written at the base similar to this lamp. However, the origin of the lamps eludes the other seller as well. What is a fact is that it is pre-1940. The cord is an easy indicator as well as the design of the lamp. Art Nouveau Ice Chip Amber Glass Mushroom Shade Bronze Finish Base Circa 1915
Ice chip amber glass shade in the mushroom form graces this antique Art Nouveau style lamp which features a brass bronze plated square base. 20 inches in height. The shade is in excellent condition with minor rim chips to the edges where the shade sits inside the 10 inch ring shade holder. The outside dimensions of the shade are 12 inches. Handblown and decorated using an acid cutback technique that creates a random pattern on the glass. You see many color striations reminding one of a tortoise shell. There is an interior brown ring color inside the shade that I have attempted to show in the photographs. This happened in the manufacturing process. If you need more photographs please ask. Reproduction of an Art Nouveau lamp. Features a woman next to a tree. Lamp is cast in bronze and the shade is a yellow dome with a bronze cage around it. 24" H x 12" W. There are three arms holding the shade to the base and as seen in photo#4 one arm is missing. I feel a Metalsmith could easily fabricate the arm since the base material is Bronze and not Spelter. The style and era is art nouveau. Early 1900s. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy crystal bead pull on the end of the chain. The lamp features a twisted bronze column and a beautiful embossed brass shade ring with graduating shades of magenta bakelite beads in a chevron design decorating it. Exceptional art nouveau style figural bronze table lamp depicts a young boy in classical dress harvesting grapes with grape leaves and vines winding up the stem of the lamp. The ruffled glass shade is frosted variegated white. The ornate mold detail is very fine. It stands about 19" tall and is in excellent condition with no damage. The bronze is highly magnetic and the lamp weighs about 6 lbs. Please look at photos closely as they are an important part of the description. This is a very rare Museum quality Art Nouveau ceramic Lamp. It is in fact the very epitome of Art Nouveau with its oversize Large poppy flowers. The quality of the piece can be seen in its fine bronze mountings. Vintage ART NOUVEAU LADY Lamp French Bronze Finish Pink Art Glass Shades Antique This gorgeous vintage spelter? lamp is believed to be of French origin and features an Art Nouveau semi nude lady. Standing amongst the leaves and vines. The lamp has two arms and comes with it's original pink and green art glass shade. Just gorgeous. Approx. measurements are 14 1/2 tall and about 15" wide(shade to shade) She is in wonderful antique condition with age appropriate wear/scuffs to bronze finish and there is one place where the arm has come unconnected to"vine" arm. Both the lamp arm and her arm are very solid and sturdy. So it does not affect it at all except for seeing the place where it separated. The shades are excellent and just push onto the threaded sockets. No chips. Cracks( other than the separation) or repairs. Rare Gilt Bronze Art Nouveau Style Lamp Base Attributed To Edward Colonna
For sale is an outstanding gilt bronze Art Nouveau lamp base attributed to the renown designer Edward Collona. We do not see a mark on it but have not taken it apart from its marble base. This is certainly in the manner. Style, and period in which he designed. It is also very similar to many of his other Art Nouveau style lamp bases. This base is gilt bronze and in overall good condition. There is age appropriate gilt loss/ tarnish but it still shows beautifully. It is affixed to a marble base which looks to be made specifically for this lamp base. The lamp is in excellent working condition. It still lights just fine. Of course we suggest re-wiring this to modern electrical code requirements. We can't say enough about how beautiful this lamp is. It would look stunning in a Tiffany. Loetz, Quezal, etc lamp shade. It has gorgeous flowing ... morelines and the classic Art Nouveau look of the period. We are unsure if there is a finial screw that screws on to the threads. There are two screws. ANTIQUE BRONZE SATIN GLASS GLOBE SPELTER ART NOUVEAU DECO TABLE LAMP LIGHT NICE Up for your consideration is this antique bronze and satin glass table lamp. It is made in a art nouveau/deco style(kind of) Please be sure to see the other antique items we have listed. FEATURES: This lamp is unlike anything that I have ever seen in the past. Or could find online, including eBay, Google images and a bunch of other sites. I believe the base is cast from solid bronze. It is made in a very ornate style with scrolling and leafing, and very fine details. The white satin glass globe is adorned with the most detailed hand formed( vines and leaves applied to it. They look like they have been extruded or maybe hand formed(possibly similar to how you would use a pastry gun) when the bronze was in a malleable state. I'm not sure of the actual process ... moreused to make this beautiful lamp because some of the vines feel like they are actually embedded right into the surface of the glass- and the final product is stunning. Each leaf has a very detailed design that includes a"ruffling" on each edge of the leaves. The vines and leaves have been attached to the globe by what I can only guess is a"melding" of the two materials while they were in a hot or workable stage. If anyone knows what this process is, or knows how it was made, an email would be greatly appreciated. The top section above the globe may have been cast from a different composition of materials than the base was. It is designed with a Roman or Greek style with a column look and leaves that fan out at the top. At the top of the four leaves there is a small hole where presumably a crystal hung down from there at one time. It comes with standard socket switch 2 clicks on and two clicks turns it off. I believe this lamp was re-wired with a new cord and socket sometime in the 1950's-60's. The length of the cord is a bit less than 6 feet. The underneath of the cast bronze base has developed a kind of rainbow-ish finish. I'm not sure if it'

I am guessing this Lamp to be from the 1930's. This gorgeous Lamp has a pink shade and stands approximately 17 1/2" tall. It is approximately 11" deep from the outer edge of the arm to the far edge of the shade. This Lamp features a lovely Dancing Lady Figurine with a long. Flowing dress and a wide-brimmed Victorian hat! She has what I'm pretty certain is a delicate hand painted celluloid face and flowing blonde hair in ringlets. Her face needs a little cleaning, but I do not know what to use and do not wish to damage it. No cracks or breaks anywhere on the Lamp, but it does have a few white specks and is dusty and needs cleaning. The figurine is a little bit loose ... moreand need to be tightened on the bottom. The pink shade is also nice, but does have some scratches, light marks and needs cleaning. The bottom inner rim of the shade has roughness around the edge. The cord is marked"GILBERT/ NEW YORK CITY/ MADE IN U.S.A" on the little brown piece that encases the off/on turning wheel. This Lamp lights up and is working all the way! Vintage Art Nouveau Cast Bronze Wall Sconces with Painted Uranium Glass Shades
We recently completed a massive reno of our home that took many years to complete as we did much of the work ourselves and took our time searching for'just the right' fixtures at demolition sales. Estate sales etc. In the process, we accumulated more fixtures than we actually needed and are slowly editing our collection through Ebay. This pair of'20's era Art Nouveau styled wall sconces will need to be re-wired. Alternatively. They can be used as candle sconces only. I have not taken out the plug ends which are in the bottom of the bulb holder, but this is easily done by an electrician or handy'do it yourselfer' Measure 11.5" in height and approx. 3.5" wide. 29 x 8.5 cm) Great detail. Note the layered back-plate with arabesque scrolls etc. The curved neck of embossed brass holding the bulb and the graceful ... moreswag of brass below the bulb. The glass shades are opaque with transfer work floral details but I was suspicious of the opaque glass and sure enough, when placed under an ultra-violet light, the shades glowed bright green indicating that they are vaseline or'uranium' glass. For those unfamiliar with uranium glass, they are harmless as the radiation emited is extremely small. Uranium was used in glass frequently up until the'40's when it was needed for industrial and military use. The great thing is however is that uranium glass highly collectible so here you're not only getting great sconces the shades are collectible on their own! For even more variety. These sconces can be used with open candle style bulbs or they can be used with the painted glass globes in place, for a more traditional look. One of the glass shades is'perfect' The other has a small chip in the part which slots into the holder(i.e. unseen when in place) and a crack which can be placed against the wall when in use so it too is not visible. Antique/vintage Art Nouveau lamp with young boy leaning against tree stump or rock( reading a book. I believe this charming lamp was made by the Armor Bronze Co in the early 1900's as it is a perfect match to the bookends made by that company. I haven't been able to find a mark and the felt on the bottom(where a label would have been) has been replaced. The lamp is in working order. The electric cord has been replaced, but I would recommend having it checked for safety. The finish on the lamp is worn in areas and it may have been waxed at one time, the tree stump appears to have remnants of polychrome paint. The socket is part of the"tree stump" and appears to be original. The lamp is 8 inches high and the base is 5 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches.
