Color changes in the metal appropriate with its age, no dents. Glass globe and clear shade in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. This lamp is electric and works terrific. These are just beautiful green mold blown glass student lamp shades. They are in perfect condition. The fitter measurement is 6 7/8" outside measurement. They are about 5" tall and the opening on the top is 4 1/4" diameter. They are a little hard to describe. They have lines going horizontally. But have faint thumb print designs too. Antique Victorian Duplex Brass Double Student Oil Lamp Electric Original Globes
Hi. You are bidding on the most beautiful lamp. It is a Duplex student oil lamp that was converted to electric. You can see by the cord and plug that it is one of the oldest electric lamps you will ever see. It has been tested and did work when I bought it but the cord is super old. I would get a second opinion before you use the cord. The globes are LOVELY and even more beautiful in person. They are in good condition with no nicks or cracks. The globes measure approximately ten inches across at the bottom and 4.5 inches or so on the top. The entire lamp is 27 inches when measured from base to top of chimneys. I believe the chimneys are also original in that they look like old glass and they are the exact measurements of the original chimneys. One of the chimneys has some roughness around the base where it goes into the metal but it is not ... morechipped. If you collect these antique lamps. I think you are going to love this one. There are problems, but minimal. I see that there is one lamp socket that is sort of tipped to one side. There is some difficulty getting the round base for the chimney into the larger frame for the glass globe. But I think that all of these issues are probably just a part of owning a lamp like this. ORNATE BRASS ANTIQUE OIL KEROSENE STUDENT LAMP MILLER? FOR RESTORATION
Sorry. No International Shipping. Please note that our photos are below the item description. This antique student lamp is in need of restoration. It has been electrified at some time in the past. Luckily the wire came out of the burner section and no other holes or alterations were made in the lamp. In the 5th row of photos you can see the slight separation in the ribbing at the bottom where the wire came out. Other minor problems are there is some solder at the top of the oil tank with some very minor metal fatigue at the top. There is a dent on the inside of the oil tank also shown in the 5th row of photos. Obviously the burner has also been altered. There are no other dents. Splits or damages on the lamp. The lamp is made of solid brass(except for the weight in the base) and would polish up beautifully if that was your desire. Although ... morewe cannot find any maker's mark we believe the lamp to be made by the Miller Lamp Company. It stands 21 1/2" tall, is 14 1/2" wide and weighs 8 1/2 pounds. X 16" wide, the felt cover base bottom is 4-1/2" in diameter The glass shades measures approx. 5-1/2" tall x 6-3/4" in diameter. The two custards shades don't match totally. One is darker when turned on and is made of thicker glass, also it has a chip on the ruffled edges(see photos below) The brass lamp is in Very Good condition. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique to older vintage(c1940s) double student lamp. This lovely lamp features French/Parisian styling. It is heavy brass construction with an ormolu, gold gilded finish. The lamp has acanthus leaf and vine pattern with marble base. The marble is white with gray to black veins and has finished, squared ends. A trio of OLD, leaded crystals adorn each decorative bobeche and a fourth dangles on the end of each arm. The candlestick sections are long and provide an elegant touch. The old shades are clip on style. They are silk fabric, pleated, ivory in color and have ivory brocade trim on each end. They are lined as well. This is a lovely. Old lamp with an abundance of charm and timeless style. It is in very good condition with some aging patina to the gilded finish. The shades are very good with one shade ... morehaving a separation of the lining at the top. The lamp operates with two, standard fitting, 25 watt bulbs. We have used shorter bulbs so that the shades fit correctly. The wiring is vintage with a new plug and the lamp is working perfectly. There is an on/off switch on the cord. Antique double student lamp with white shades. Condition issues.
I just purchased at a estate sale. I never checked to see if it worked and it doesn't. Not sure if its the switch or the wiring. You will be buying as is condition. Not working and the brass if possible needs to be polished or refinished. Its a large size being 22 1/4 high and it spans about 19" across. The shades are the same style but the paint either has worn off on one or they were different but it appears to worn. One of them has pink flowers and the other shade does not. They have the chimneys and both the shades and chimneys are without chips or cracks. I would not pack both the shades and chimneys in the same box as lamp. Up for sale is a beautiful antique oil lamp that was converted to electricity. It has a very ornamental. Very decorative look to it, and also is a nice piece of functional art. It will make a wonderful show piece for any room. It is in working farm fresh condition, has some wear and tear, but is in over all fair condition. Could use a thorough cleaning, but all in all is in good shape. There are minor stress fractures, but the piece is very solid, and they appear to be cosmetic only, I believe due to age and also material and method of manufacture, these are very common on old pieces like this. The chimney and hobnail milk glass shade are not original, but pieces I had that fit it and looked nice together. Double Student Lamp Antique Milk Glass Ruffled Edge Globes
Antique Double Student Lamp with Original Milk Glass Globes This is a beautiful double student lamp in original condition except that it has been rewired with a 14' long length of heavy duty wire. As I am not an expert I will not venture whether or not this lamp was once gas but it does have the attributes for that conversion in my opinion. I do not see any marks but this lamp is brass and was owned its entire life by the man I got it from. It is large and heavy and spans about 19" across. It is 25" tall to the top of the vertical finial. The milk glass globes are each 7" tall and have 6-7/8" openings at the bottom to match the openings in the fitter rings on the lamp(they fit snug) The glass appears translucent around the top ruffles(see photo images) and there is residue from the many cleanings it had with the brass ... morecleaner. With the exception of a couple of cracks on the base(could be repaired from the inside but I did not venture this! and one small on the the globe ring and a tiny chip off one bottom edge of one of the globes. This lamp is in good condition for it's age. I think it was made in the 1920s to 1930s. It casts a beautiful light and is ready for a new home. Payment due within 3 days from close of sale. Antique Student dual Oil Lamp, brass, electrified
Antique dual lamp single reservoir electrified student oil lamp. Brass. There is a switch on the cord and each lamp has a switch. One of the switches is stuck on. The other one works fine. The globes are made of two layers of glass. A clear amber glass on the outside and a white milk glass layer on the inside. One chimney is frosted, the other is clear. The height of the lamps is adjustable with a knob on the central support. The lamp came to my family through my great uncle who collected antiques. The wire is getting stiff. It was probably electrified no later than 1965.

The lamp has two full size brass pull chain sockets and has been rewired. The chains have fancy double cut crystal pulls on the ends. Both light sockets work independently of each other. This type of lamp was called a double student lamp but can be used on tables or desks. The fancy pierced floral shade rings each hold 32 strands of fire polished bohemian crystal lustres. This is a very rare style Banker's Lamp.European made most likely French and definatelly designer.Has been completely re-wired.Condition is as shown pens are vintage Shaffer but need new cartridges.This is heavy and well made.Shade has some issues with inside frosting that has started to separate leaving spots on glass.This is not evident when lit.Shade glass is in perfect condition with no chips.I have searched all over trying to find info on this lamp to no avail.It is unique and very Art Deco.This is well made and heavy with a cast brass base.

An antique. Circa 1880's, Plume& Atwood petite brass double student lamp. It has been electrified, and is in working order. It has a new cord and plug, switch on the flange base. The two screws for adjusting the height of the arms on the rod are now stationary. There are two reproduction modern milk glass shades with hand painting. The lamp measures 21-1/2" tall by 18" wide at shade rings by 6-1/4" bottom diameter. Shades are 4-1/4" tall by 6-1/2" wide, with 5-3/4" fitter rim diameter. Very good condition: original lacquer protective finish to brass with some minor peel causing tarnish. Minor tiny dent on flange base near switch, minor dent to one font. One shade with chip to top rim.

Vintage Antique oil style electric student lamp with glass electrical insulator
This is a stunning antique brass and glass electric student table lamp. it is very ornate and has a wonderful design with a nice rich patina from age. it has two curved arms with ribbed thick vintage green electrical insulators which have nice lines. they are both held by the mounts wrapping the brass sockets. there are nice brass on/off turn switches located right on the sockets. it has a large circular heavy base which has an embossed trim wrapping the edge. it has a nicely detailed shaft and has a decorative oil font as one of the arms. the piece is in great shape and works perfectly. The insulators can be easily removed to change bulbs or to change up from time to time with standard flute and shade.
