Antique Table Boudoir Lamp Slag Glass Shade Lily Pattern Cast Iron Base Bronzed
This auction is for an electric lamp with a slag glass shade. The base is marked 831 on the underside. The base is cast iron with a finish over it. The other parts are not iron. Some wear and/or small chips to the finish. Measures 16 1/2" assembled. The shade itself is 6 1/2" tall and the opening is 7" across. Some rough areas and chips on the edges of the glass pieces but nothing that shows from the outside and no cracks, some scratches or scuffs on the outside, the metal hides any edge damage. Antique lamp base part for slag glass shade , Bradley and Hubbard
This antique base is not si gned but I have seen it on Bradley and Hubbard lamps so I have listed it as such. It is primarily made of pot mteal with a br ass stem and steel socket cluster. All are painted in a bronze col ored finish with gilt highlights. The paint has some chipping and could use some restor ation. Other than that this base is in fine condition. It is not cracked bent or broken in any way. It is 20" tall and measures 8 1/2"across the widest dimension of the bottom. T he top of the socket cluster measures 1 3/4" It weighs 5 3/4 pounds. The wiring seems replaces but old. The brass fitting that the bulb goes into also appears to be newer that the lamp. This nice period lamp dates ca. 1900-1915 and manufactured in an era when they could be“wired” for either gas or electricity. It measures 24” tall(16” to the top of the socket) and sports an original 8” x 35” square shade having solid brass riveted frame with steel under structure. The textured opalescent slag glass is all original with no cracks. But a tiny corner loss as photographed. The base is brass plated cast iron with minor rust and it is very dirty and attic fresh. The owner thought it should be re-wired for sale, so that has been done. This is a beautiful nice sized bent slag glass lamp. The shade is a combination variegated deep carmel bent slag glass with a beautiful look to it. The filigree work is just wonderful and sets off the colors in the shade. The lamp is a combination of brass. Copper, bronze and pot metal with a great golden patinated finish near 100% The lamp stands 20 inches tall. The shade is 16 inches wide and about 6 1/2 inches tall. There are 2 vintage sockets working off of one pull chain. One pull turns on one light, second turns on the second light, third pull goes back to one light and fourth pull turns it all off, it all works well. The lamp has been rewired with correct wiring and works and looks just great. This beautiful lamp is unmarked except for a#1 on the base. Features Houze Sage Green Slag Glass embellishments on this great old lamp. Early 1900's lamp. Perfect Condition. Shade has a pinkish interior. I can't say for sure the shade dates as old as the lamp. But it is an old shade. Has an old Fat boy socket in it; I've turned it on and off 25-30 times; works great. Should probably have no more than a 60 watt bulb, though in the old days, they regularly installed 100 waters. Designed as a task light, mainly for reading in the parlor. 56 1/2" tall. We have 6 listed this week.My Great Uncle owned a lamp shop in DC for almost 50 years. From the late 30's until the early 80's. The lamps we have listed this week came from his estate. My aunt, his daughter, recently passed away and we took these parts from her attic. Her Dad had strung these parts in order on a piece of wire and had them hanging in his shop. After he passed my aunt brought them home and hung them in her attic. About 10 years ago she gave us a strand of these parts. We found a threaded pole here on ebay and took the pieces ... moreoff of the wire, sliding them down the pole in the order they came off of the wire and we have had a beautiful slag glass floor lamp ever since. My aunt has recently passed away and these parts came from her attic.This one has what looks to me to be a green vaseline type glass incorporated into its design one of which has chips as shown but the others are fine. The cast iron base and steel parts had been stripped of their paint and or plating years ago and they got rusty so I took my wire wheel and went over them but you'll still need to brush them again before painting however most of the prep work is done. The base is really rusty on the under side but I cleaned the threads up and they look fine. There are 2 matching brass tubes. I polished a small area of one of the tubes so you can see what they'll look like once cleaned up. I do not have any sockets and of course the pole is missing too but the threads in the base look fine. I laid these parts out in a line on the floor and as far as I can tell there are enough to make about a 54" tall lamp. Rod is not included. Thank you for viewing. Antique Caramel and Multi colored Slag Glass 16 panel table lamp. Lamp measures approximately 22" tall with shade. One of the large glass panels is broken and one of the small glass panels is partially broken. The broken pieces for the large glass panel come with the lamp. I do not know how complete the pieces and if they fit properly. There are no glass pieces for the small glass panel. This lamp is working and looks like it was re wired not too long ago and has new bulb sockets. There is normal wear on lamp body from age. But i did not see any damage or breaks to the metal work on the shade or the base of lamp. I don't know if all the Slag glass panels are original. Lamp is from old estate.

This is a beautiful pair of victorian table lamps They are very ornate and are original the leaded glass/stained glass shades are in great shape with no visible breaks. the bases retain 975 of the original paint. one lamp does have a replacement cord on it the other has an older one that is not frayed and is still in usable shape. check out the pictures and you will see what fine examples these two lamps really are. the lamps stand 15 inches tall. No manufacturing marks found. Two tone bronze patinas. Base is yellow bronze casting the upper classical urn body is a dark liver patina. I took the base apart looking for identifying larks and showed interior in photos. Light sockets work with original wiring and toggles. this is a slag lamp base from the 1920's sturdy enough to hold a very large slag glass canapy. Only one defect is minor dent in the shadows of side that I backlighted to exaggerate for you to see better. It is not noticable. Found in North Crown Heights. Brooklyn Historic district.

This is a Great Old Green Slag Glass Table Lamp Shade in very good condition! It is an 8 Panel shade and all the glass is damage free it also has all it's little tabs. I see no makers marks so I do not know who made the shade or it's age my best guess is 1940s but it could be earlier. It looks to be very well made. There are a few small areas of finish loss but 99% of the original finish seems to be there. The shade from panel to panel is 17 1/2" and the shade weighs 7.10 pounds. Thank you for your interest! Offered as is as found is a monumental slag glass lamp base by Miller Lamp Co along with original matching shade. I do have some of the glass panels for the shade. But not all. This is a good project for the lamp restorer. It will be a magnificent lamp with some attention. There are no missing filagree pieces on the shade. It is a little out of form from storage, but one can easily adjust it when fitting the glass. Overall with some effort and new glass this will make a fine old lamp. ANTIQUE HANDEL LILY DESK LAMP; RARE YELLOW GREEN SLAG GLASS; DUFFNER ERA
For sale is a beautiful documented Handel lily lamp as shown in pictures 1-12. This lamp is relatively rare in that its glass color is not Handel's standard dark green. Rather. It is a lighter striated yellow green. Also the base metal and the metal holding the petals has a lighter golden brown patina that is more in keeping with the muted colors of the glass. The true patina color is shown in natural sun light in photo 3. The true color of the glass is shown in natural light in photos 2& 3. Although the base and shade are unsigned. This lighter colored variation of Handel's lily lamp is pictured(documented) in"The Handel Lamp Book" by Hibel. Hibel& Fontaine at page 30 at the top right. The lily pad base of the lamps were made of cast iron and thus much more difficult to emboss with the Handel mark than the softer ... morepot metal table lamps. Hence, most of these lily pad bottoms had weak lettering(a couple of letters) to no impressions at all. The lamp has been rewired with a period appropriate brown cloth cord that has been spliced at the bottom. See photos 9& 10. The lamp has its original bakelight plug. photo 8) The socket has a GE paddle. Photo 12. The socket works perfectly. The socket shell is spot welded closed at two spots. You can see one of them in photo 2. The shade is 4 inches long from back to front tip(i.e. The front to back diameter) The shade's side to side diameter is 4 1/2 inches wide. The shades front opening is 2 1/4 inches in diameter. It takes one of the narrow pointed bulbs. Unfortunately. The lamp has one panel of glass missing. Fortunately, it is in the least conspicuous spot. The underside. The framing for the petal is still intact. The missing piece can only be noticed by viewing the lamp from the back side(photo 11) or from the underside(photo 12) Because of Handel's overlapping petal pattern, the loss is barely noticable. This lamp has 8 panels of bent caramel glass with two bulbs controlled by pull cords. The shade has the swirling leaf design found in most Art Nouveau desings. Looks great when high lighted against the caramel glass in a dim room. I have taken a number of pics in dim light to show this off. The base is solid and heavy to support the large shade. Although unmarked it is probably a Pittsburgh lamp. I have had all new wiring installed so this lamp is go to be used right out of the box but as always use caution and inspect after shipment before use. Up for your consideration is an antique floor lamp– 64” tall with a 22” diameter green slag glass shade in excellent condition. No cracks or breaks. The wood pole is a substantial piece– 12-1/2” diameter solid base maple base with a hole in the center for wiring. The pole section of the lamp has a bottom dimeter of 5” and tapers slowly to a 2-3/4” diameter at the top. It is an uncommon heavy base that easily supports the large glass shade. Offering this amazing antique twin cupid lamp. Remarkably good condition. Approx 100 years old. Molded metal. Definitely not iron. Likely bronze. Eight panels of green slag glass. Gorgeous light in a dark room. Baskets. Butterflies and bound sticks decorate the shade. Shade is actually molded lead with gold paint. Some flecks of gold paint have fallen off over the years. Measurements are 21" tall(finial is 3 1/2" of the height) 6" X 6" base. Octagonal shade is 10" wide 6" high. Weight 9 pounds. I insist on insurance. Good bidding.

Antique Ornate LARGE 12 Panel Slag Glass Lamp Miller/Royal/B&H/Pittsburg ERA
This is for a Beautiful Ornate Antique 12 Panel Slag Glass Lamp. The lamp has been professionally restored and rewired. The cord is period cloth covered. The sockets are original Arrow Sockets and work well. The 12 original glass panels are all without chips. cracks or repairs. The side curved panels are a combination of tones from blue to lavender. The"tree trunk" type base appears to be spelter or a bronze/brass type metal. As a magnet will not stick anywhere. The unsigned base is numbered, without name, but looks just like several Miller bases I have had in the past. All tabs are present. The frame is solid without splits(there are some solid repairs to the frame) The ornate fillagree is all present. This is a beautiful lampshade that can be easily converted to a hanging swag lamp. It is ornate. Nicely patinaed brass with alternating slag glass panels of brilliant red and swirled white. From what I understand, minerals were added during the process of making the glass to get those rich colors and swirl marks. I am no expert though. I will throw in the base for free if you purchase. The base is not original to the lamp. It is a heavy brassy base. Ornate and compliments the shade nicely. We have searched the internet for one like this one and we cannot find another one like it. Beautiful antique. Marked Bradley and Hubbard slag glass lamp. The base is stamped Bradley and Hubbard in a triangle with a# 260 next to the triangle. The lamp cord looks authentic and still usable. There are two light bulbs which are unusual in shape with six sides, the bulb is marked G.E. Mazda 25W 110V. The lamp suckets are marked Bryant 250W 250V Pat'd Nov 26, 1907. The heigth of the base is approx 19" from the bottom to the top of the screw on to hold the shade. There is a beautiful flowral and leaf design on the base. There is no damage on the entire base piece. The diameter of the base is approx 8" The shade has 8 panels of the same size of approx 7 1/2" from the top of the shade to the bottom. The top of the shade across measures approx 1 1/2" and the bottom across measures approx 5 1/2" Most of the clips ... morethat hold the panels in place are available with just a few missing. The glass pieces are secure and in place. Each of the bottom metal retainers that hold the glass panels in place are stamped Pat'd Oct 20, 08, which means 1908. The screw on top of the base screws into the base and care should be exercised when unscrewing the shade from the base because the screw works both ways, it screws into the base and also can be unscrewed from the base leaving the shade at jeapardy of being disconnected from the base. There are no breaks in the metal works and the glass is uniform in shape and size. The base and the shade are both in the condition as described, no cleaning of any kind was attempted in the possibility of damaging the piece. Antique Metal Slag Glass Lamp, 7 Panel, Signed, RAINAUD #C, Art Nouveau 23"
This is an antique Rainaud lamp. The bottom of the lamp is stamped Rainaud C with the number 30 in the center at the bottom. Parts of the lamp are metal. And other parts are a metal like material. The two light bulb sockets look to have been changed in recent years. The lamp stands 23" tall. And the shase is 17.5" across the bottom. The lamp is heavy. And will need to be shipped in a large box with lots of padding which will be reflected in the shipping price. To ship will be around 20 pounds. I include insurance at no extra cost. In the photos you will see where the paint has faded off of the inside of the glass panels of the shade. The lare glass shade is missing a panel as you can see in the photo. This is a rare and beautiful antique American table lamp from the famous firm of Bradley& Hubbard(Meriden. Connecticut 1852-1940) The glass shade has the shape of a modified pine cone and an unusual reverse painted design depicting a blue lattice basket surrounded by gold and green leaves. The body and pedestal are made of hollow bronze. The hand painted design done on each of the 4 panels matches the colors of the lamp. Each of the four panels of the shade is identified by the engraved company name. Bradley& Hubbard Manufacturing Co. The shade measures approximately 17” in diameter and about 9” tall. The shade glass has a vertically ribbed texture on the outside and has an overall frosted look to the inside of the shade. The lamp base is a bronze-bronze color with a crackled texture and is shaped like a slender urn. It measures approximately ... more22 ½” high and the bottom base has a diameter of 7 ½” This lamp has three light sockets and is in perfect working condition. The lamp has been rewired and at least one socket and one pull is not original. The shade will probably need some cleaning and as I show in one of the pictures. The outer part of the shade has four ribs and one has been glued. M ost of these minor problems can be restored. As it is. It remains a beautiful lamp for any discerning home. Antique Large Slag Glass Lamp 25 in Tall 8 Caramel Panels Original Patina
This is for a Beautiful Antique 8 Panel Ornate Victorian Caramel Slag Glass Lamp. The 8 original caramel glass panels are all without chips. cracks or repairs and really gives off a warm glow. All tabs are present. The frame is solid without splits. The filigree is all present and without damage. The wiring appears to have been redone in the 50's or 60's and works well. Both sockets work flawlessly. One socket was replaced. The lamp is just as found from a Southeastern Wisconsin Estate and could use a thorough cleaning. The patina is a copper/gold color from years of use. There are small hints of wear here and there. But nothing major. This large lamp stands just under 25 inches tall, the shade is 19 inches in diameter from point to point or 17 1/2 inches from flat to flat and 8 inches deep.
