VINTAGE Signed Prof. G. Gambogi. Alabaster/marble gypsy 1900's lamp Very Rare
You are bidding on a very rare signed Prof. G. Gambogi light. This piece is made from marble(at base) to the gypsy being alabaster. The four little figures holding the light are made of brass. It is made in Italy. The globe is not original to this piece. The family who owns this piece had it for 40 years and prior to her recieving this piece it was her fathers. And she remembers it from when she was young. This piece weighs about 40 to 45lbs, it has great detail, and constructed to last. It is more beautiful in person. I am not an expert, I have this out for appraisal, and to verify the signature, I took pictures and from the hx I got on this piece, I believe it to be the real deal, but you be the judge. The brass, gold tone or guilded finish is worn off in some areas and there is a small chip or knick in the marble base shown in the pictures. Also along the upper side of the urn body I noticed a difference in coloration while taking the pictures, it does not look like a crack but I am just not sure. Art Deco Alabaster Lamp. Gorgeous.
This is such a beautiful lamp-every detail from the great gold painted base to the wonderful browns and greens in the alabaster. The shapes on the stem, the double sockets-all original-and the wonderful original finial on top. It will have to be rewired though it certainly works as is with the assistance of some electrical tape wound around the cord in a few spots. Very heavy and very elegant. M.VASSEUR. A wonderful 1925 french art deco lamp wrought iron holding a large marble shade. Very art deco in its design. The lamp was made by M. Vasseur a black smith from Paris who had like E.Brandt and R.Subes a large company making pieces both on command as for his own shop. The lamp is 37cm high(14-1/2" The shade is 20cm high and has a diameter of 17.3 cm(6-13/16" The lamp is in very good condition. The marble was very dirty on the outside and had numerous scratches. I have cleaned it and polished it a little. It looks great now. With its delicate mottled structure it gives a very pleasant light. The lamp is rewired and has a new european E14 socket. ALABASTER TABLE LAMP BASE WITH METAL FOOT AND GREAT ANTIQUE SHADE
Great vintage lamp with alabaster base and metal foot. Cord is frayed beyond repair and will need to be replaced. Also. One of the chain pulls is missing. Overall height is 23 inches. The shade is 17 inches wide and 9 1/2 tall. The shade is not in great shape and you may not even want it sent. It is torn on the inside and there are some large stains on the inside and outside. One side of the stone base has a dark vein running through it which looks good, to me, but if you wanted a cleaner look, the other side could be facing out and it is uniform in color. Beautiful carved alabaster lamp of nude in waterfall. The lamp is unsigned but Marked"Made in Italy" The lamp measures 16 1/2 inches(42cm) H X 7 1/4 inches(18cm) W. This item has been newly rewired for saftey concerns. I have the Age of this item listed as 1900- 1940 but I am not quite sure of the Age. My experience tells me it could be anywhwere from the 1920's to 1950's. A lovely object that displays beautifully. A warm glowing light that becomes the focal point of a room. This lamp is heavy as it is made of carved stone. It weighs over 25 LBS. Overall the lamp is in very good to excellent condition but there is a line(Vein) in the stone which is pictured. Up for your consideration is this absolutely exquisite antique carved white Alabaster and Marble table lamp from the 1920's. This lamp depicts a long necked bird with it's wings spread- I believe the bird is either a swan. Egret or heron. Absolutely stunning detail and the white color really stands out. The lamp has two lights with individual pull switches so that you can adjust the amount of light. Measures 27.5 inches tall from the base to the finial and 9.5 inches wide without a shade(no shade included) This lamp is quite heavy because the alabaster and marble portion alone measures approx. 12.5 inches. In excellent condition. One small chip on the wing of one bird(enlarge pic#9, wing of bird on right near legs) There is a painted portion of the lamp above the alabaster that has chipped cream paint as well. ANTIQUE Colonial Premier # 252 Brass Cast Iron Alabaster Bridge Arm Lamp
Up for bid is an antique turn of the century Brass and Cast Iron and Alabaster Bridge Arm Floor Lamp by Colonial Premier. It has the early number of 252 in the designs produced. The Lamp is not wired but has the tubed arm for the socket and Glass Shade and the Cord to extend out the other side. There is no opening in the Brass Pole or Alabaster for a Cord. The design is hammered Brass and Victorian Floral Brass with an Arrow Peak that is in excellent condition as is the top parts of the Pole. The last Pole portion and Base are Cast Iron with Brass overlay and does show some surface oxidation and patina that will clean up with a good polishing. The Alabaster Base is in good condition with just a few minor nicks. Not sure how you clean this surface. But it looks nice how it is. It has one small flaw on top in the casting.
