Photos taken outside in cloudy afternoon light. Looks fabulous! A bit of wear. A few spots, and some of the blue wool rags shows small holes(2nd last photo) No repairs. There are loose black threads throughout, used to sew the rags into strips for weaving. There are less on the side that seems to have been up; likely the threads came off through use. But the rug shows little use- looks wonderful! This rug came out of a VERY dusty old attic, and really needs cleaning. That attic held many other long-forgotten antique hooked and rag rugs. Offering an splendid old Art Nouveau French Chandelier(thirties) from my last resolution in France near P ari s. The frame is made of high-quality processed brass, which is for his age in a very good condition. The chandelier has been restored by our professional caterer and is in a good residential finished condition. A piece of contemporary art for the ages. The crystals consist of old cut lead crystal 32 PbO and have been individually wired by hand. The chandelier has an extraordinary number of GLOSS crystals which run perfectly graded, these were individually cleaned of dirt, debris and polished. Antique 19th Century English Spirit Barrel
Antique English Spirit Barrel that looks to be marked Turnstall Hollingshead& England. Figure on the under stamp appears to be horse and rider. Sorry the photo doesn't show this clearly. Transferware windmill with waterway and homes in background. Brass spigot is missing but barrel is intact and very nice. Note crazing and some staining. Round cap on top has been cracked but is also intact. Design is complete and in great condition. Gold has some wear spots as well as some rub on the RUM wording. Measures 12 5/8"h X 12"w. Fine quality Bohemian 19th Century oil lamp. Hand painted Sparrows fighting A truly stunning. Rare and fine quality lamp base. This is similar to the Aladdin type lamp where you place the oil vessel into the lamp as opposed to pouring oil directly into the lamp itself. A wonderful cranberry coloured. Faceted glass body with a white glass inside giving it an opaque look. The body being hand enameled with a pair of fighting sparrows a butterfly and I think wisteria. The base I think is gilt bronze or ormolu. The gilding has been worn away from too much cleaning but you can see the gilding on the underside. The base is cast with scrolls and vines around the feet, which is so typical of the Arts and crafts or Art Nouveau movement. Measures 27cm or 10.5" tall by 13cm across the top. This lamp is unmarked as to maker but the burner is a Queen Anne No. 2. This one is 18" high overall. The brass removeable font seems to be in good shape though dented. Notice the brass holder inside the glass part has some age cracks in it but they don't ... morehurt anything. That metal was obviously very thin. The brass font is 6" high and 4" in diameter. The overall diameter of the glass part is 7 1/2" in diameter and is 7 3/4" high. The base is of cast iron. This elaborate parlor lamp is very old and likely the 1890's. This auction is for a rare and unusual pair of antique 19th century whale oil lamps. These lamps are made of brass and feature three burners and a complete set of four tools. The small tools(a tweezer. Scythe, snuffer and bucket) are attached by chains to each lamp. The base is scalloped and sits on three feet. They measure approximately 16" tall to the top of the handles. There are no maker's marks. The brass oil lamps are in extremely good antique con dition. There are no cracks. Dents or breaks. The brass is tarnished on both lamps commensurate with age though one looks like it was used a little more than the other. I believe that can be disassembled for shipping. Rare French 19th Century Porcelain Lamp
Here is a rare French porcelain lamp. It stands 17 inches with a total height of 38 inches. There are no identifying marks on the bottom, it is mounted on a solid brass dolphin motif base. The condition is excellent with no damage seen. There is light gold wear from years of cleaning. This vase was probably mounted as a lamp in the 1940's. The porcelain on this lamp is of very hard milky white hand painted quality. Almost hard to appreciate in photos. It has a three way vintage socket and wiring, all working well. This lamp will be double boxed and well padded.

Condition on both is perfect with no damage other than a couple of tiny little surface nicks on the extreme edge of the fonts. This is an old antique 19th Century painted tole on metal French or Italian Bouillotte two arm table lamp from wonderful old estate done in a figural musical harp motif. It is 16" tall by 13 5/8" across top and the base is 7" by 3 3/4" It is a mustard color with a scene of figures at Roman like ruins. The scene is different on each side. It has the cord cut off and came with no shade. It has slight wear to the paint on a couple of edges not worth noting. See closeup. I also see a tiny 1/8" pinhead hoe on the base which has a 7/8" scratch with paint loss line that runs from the hole to the lamp body. See closeup. This is in wonderful condition for its age. Antique 19th century Frosted Cut Glass Lamp Shade Astral Oil Fluid Solar Argand
Nice antique 19th c. blown. Frosted and cut glass shade for a table lamp. Nice wheel cut design of vines and wheat. Fitter measures 7 1/4" in diameter, top opening is 2 1/2" in diameter. Shade is 4 3/4" tall. Has a small chip to the top and bottom rims. Displays nicely and fully functional. Please view our other auctions.

Rare Late 19th Century Floral Dresden Urn Lamp Large
Offered is a turn of the 19th century Dresden urn lamp with wooden base straight out of an important historic Hudson Valley estate. The urn is porcelain with the incredibly detailed floral designs and lovely murals that made Dresden legendary. In 1902. Dresden Porcelain started marking their items with a blue"SP Dresden" insignia; this is not found on the lamp, either because it was made before the insignia was used or because the wood base is hiding it, but it is very obviously a Dresden piece. The lamp is full functional and simply needs a new shade(better for the buyer to choose on in keeping with your decor) It is 31" tall x 9" wide(across handles) and is an extremely heavy quality piece. The wood base is painted to match the rest of the urn but does have some paint chipping and symmetrical black markings. because ... moreof the intricate design. These minor imperfection blend quite nicely with the piece(see photos- we thought they were part of the design at first) The body of the piece is in immaculate condition with no chipping whatsoever. The vast majority of Dresden's pieces were figural. An exhaustive online search has turned up very. Very few floral examples like this one, leading us to believe that it is extremely rare. It will make a gorgeous addition to any home.

Antique 19th century oil lamp - converted to electric 1920's
Antique 19th century milk glass oil lamp. Stands 18" with a shade(not included) 12" from base to socket. The milk glass base is adorned with grapes. The glass oil reserve has a great design around it and is clearly stamped Patented July 2. 1872. It was converted to an electric lamp in the 1920's. Note the incredible design of oak leaves and acorns on the actual plug. Other pieces are brass. There are no chips or cracks in the base or glass reserve. Please view all pics for condition.
