First in my grandma's house while growing up and then in my own home for about the past 30 years. I was told that it was custom-made and that it is one-of-a-kind. I would describe the style as subtle art deco. I have used it as a sideboard/credenza/buffet/chest as well as storage in an office, where it received constant compliments. It is wonderfully well-made in a very subtle art deco/craftsman/eclectic design that will actually work well with and complement many styles of furniture, including mid-century modern, arts& crafts, Eames era, and craftsman. I have been told by a carpenter with knowledge of wood, that it is a fine grade of teak, with beautiful dovetailing and separations between the drawer compartments ... moreand cabinet sections. One of the two side drawers is lined with green felt and partitioned to accommodate serving pieces or silverware. On each side, under the small top drawers, is a door behind which is open storage with two levels. In the center are three drawers, one shallower drawer at the top and two deeper drawers below. It is designed so that the center section with the drawers is gracefully indented between a slightly wider section on each end, with the drawers and open storage. The corners solid wood top are gracefully rounded, as is the place where the center section curves out to meet the wider sides. The hardware is beautifully simple and well designed. It is in very good to excellent vintage/antique condition. With smoothly sliding drawers and very little in the way of surface cosmetic concerns. All the joints are. This is a very cool and unusual design with TONS of function in a sleek low footprint. It is comprised of a beautiful blend of woods(solid teak. Teak veneer, rosewood veneer and solid beech(drawer bodies) It features two sliding doors that when slid to the left reveal a very spacious open storage area in the middle of the credenza. When the doors are slid to the right you will find another storage area with three rosewood and beech pull out drawer trays. These drawers are all felt lined, perfect for this more delicate objects. You can also remove one, two or all three of these if you want additional open storage space. Moving on over to the far right side of the credenza, there are 3 pull out drawers with AMAZING ... moreintegrated sculptural handles. These drawers are larger the rosewood ones, allowing storage of bigger things. Supporting the credenza is an AWESOME floating base design in solid teak which really gives a nice airy feel to the already sleek piece. There is literally zero footprint on the floor and its narrow depth allows placement in tight areas where most credenzas of this length would never work. Beautifully made of both solid teak and teak veneer over wood. It features a very wide open storage shelf space with two long sliding doors flanked on either side by 6 pull out drawers. Drawers are all felt lined and have lovely integrated teak ill handles. Auction is for a Vintage 1960's Danish Modern Teak Sideboard. It has 3 sliding tambour doors on both upper& lower cabinets. Sideboard is in excellent condition with only a couple few stains(quarter size or smaller) on top of lower cabinet and a few light scratches here& there. Some pictures may show a red blotchy color on lower cabinet doors. There is no red blotchy color on lower doors or piece anywhere. It is reflection. It actually has a beautiful original color or patina that takes 50 years to obtain. The lower cabinet has shelf in center and 4 drawers in left side. Top cabinet has a shelf in all ... more3 sections. Also has 3 small felt lined drawers below tambour doors. Piece is solid. Joints are sturdy and strong. Upper and lower cabinets come apart from A frame sides with 4 bolts from inside each cabinet's side(see picture) Nice sleek lines. Teak wood handles. Maple interior. Doors& drawers slide smoothly except middle door in lower cabinet sticks a little(may need adjustment) There are a few light stains on upper top cabinet but it must be disassembled or be very tall to see. Teak Sideboard Credenza. Clausen& Søn, Denmark, c. 1960s Please read our payment terms below prior to bidding. Thank you. BEAUTIFUL vintage credenza executed in both teak and teak veneer. This is a biggie! Long low design. Very solid, heavy, and very well made with nice attention to detail. The piece features double sliding doors that open to reveal two open storage areas. Each with a single height adjustable shelf. At the middle are 4 spacious drawers for a ton of additional storage. Top drawer is lined in green felt for those more precious items. The doors and drawers all have matching"Arne Vodder esque" solid teak bowtie pull handles adding a nice touch of elegance. Note the fine solid teak bevel edges. They are not just on the front top edge, but along the vertical door edges as well. This gives the ultimate finished ... moreappearance when the doors are butted up to one another. The piece can really take on different looks depending on how you place the doors. If you slide both together off to one side. You will have a nice display shelf for pottery etc. and the drawers remain hidden. If the doors are placed to the furthermost sides, the the drawers show and any bulky items not suitable for the drawers will be hidden in the shelf compartments. This is a very solid and functional with nice detail and rich tonality to the teak. The solid teak bow tie pull handles are really cool and again. The entire piece is very well made. measurements Overall 82 1/8" long by 18" deep by 29" high. Drawer interiors are each 22 3/4 wide by 13 3/4" deep by 3 1/2" high. Each side cabinet interior is 27 5/8" by 16 7/8" deep by 17 1/4" high. The shelves each have three height adjustments starting mid way up and in 1.25" increments. condition Excellent and very clean example. Top received a refinish and looks great. Doors slide smooth on the tracks. There are some minor mar marks and nicks here and there and that one may expect. We point some examples out in the pics. shipping
