Offered for sale is a Stunning Baker Furniture Hepplewhite Inlaid Mahogany Demilune Sideboard/Server/Buffet. This bowfront sideboard features two deep drawers and four curved doors with storage cabinets. All with beautiful brass carved pulls. The top drawer has the Baker nameplate and a green silverware liner and the drawer below is a tambour-style with an arched surround. The mahogany features a gorgeous inlaid cross-banded border with inlaid stringing all supported on six tapered legs with spade feet. The sideboard measures 66" wide x 37" high x 27.5" deep. I believe this sideboard is 20-25 years old but I am not sure of the exact age. It may be older. Overall it is in excellent condition with the following exceptions: there are a few light scuffs/scratches on the top(see pic#11) and the back left leg has a hairline crack ... morethat extends from the foot upwards approximately 3-4 inches(see pic#12) This crack does not appear to affect the sturdiness of the piece. I have discounted the price to reflect this issue. Overall, as is the case with all Baker mahogany furniture, this sideboard is a stunning piece of furniture that is a beauty to behold. Henkel Harris Mahogany Sideboard or Buffet (Style # 2350)
You are bidding on a Henkel Harris Mahogany Sideboard or Buffet(Model# 2350) in the# 29 Finish. This bow-front sideboard measures approximately 52-1/8” wide by 23” deep by 35-3/4” high. The sideboard has two cupboard doors with string inlay flanking a drawer with felt lining above a recessed front drawer raised on square tapering legs ending in spade feet. It also features solid brass hardware and retains its three original keys. The sideboard was fabricated in 1984. The sideboard has normal age-appropriate wear with some surface scratches. I have attempted to show the worst of these scratches on the top of the sideboard(Image 12) After cleaning the furniture with Howard Orange Oil Furniture Polish. These scratches were virtually unnoticeable(and almost impossible to capture in a photograph) In fact, I believe that the scratches appear far ... moreworse in the photograph(Image 12) than they do in person. Aside from these surface scratches, I would describe the sideboard as being in excellent condition. All in all. This sideboard appears to have been well cared for, is in very clean condition, and presents beautifully. It is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange packing and shipping. This classic American mahogany sideboard is from the New Hampton Court Collection made by the Drexel Furniture Company. The model number is 4101-4. Manufactured around 1950. The Drexel mark is burned into the inside of the top drawer, and the back bears the stenciled identification. This piece is classic Drexel. Having four wide bow-front center drawers with smaller side drawers above the cabinet doors. The drawers and cabinet doors are faced in matched mahogany veneer with a warm, rich brown color. The cabinet doors feature a graceful oval inlay, and the case has carved corner posts. The drawers have the original Hepplewhite solid brass handles, and the doors have the original solid brass pulls. Finely crafted from solid wood. The case is in sound structural condition. However, this buffet remains quite beautiful owing to its high quality construction, which also accounts for its remarkable sturdiness. As a result, this buffet remains in very good overall condition: it would make a fine addition to any antique furniture collection! This beautiful mahogany buffet was crafted in England c1960. It is a beautiful federal style with a wavey front and short curved legs. It bows out in the center and curves in on the sides and back out to the corners. It has 4 drawers doen the center with the top drawer having removable dividers for flatware. There are 2 doors on each side with a gorgeous brass inlay into the Mahogany wood. Above the 2 doors are 2 small drawers. This piece has lots of storage.The pulls are solid oval brass. The entire pieces is Mahogany veneer over solid wood. The drawers are dovetailed and all in good shape and glide well. It has no oders. Breaks, missing parts or repairs. There was a missing piece of veneer on the front edge which was sanded smooth.
