Beautiful. Rare, mid century buffet in very good, very clean condition. It has small proportions and would be ideal for apartment living or small house. It does not appear to have the original hardware. I do not know if the wood is teak or walnut( not being an expert in these things) It has a reddish cast like teak would have. It is very heavy for its size. The dimensions are 50.5" long, 20" wide, and 32" high. There are a couple of dings which you can see in the photos. This dresser was built quality first by American of Martinsville. Circa late 1950's. It's a large piece. Measuring 78.25 inches wide, 18.5 deep, 30 high, and 53 high with the bookcase on top. The bookcase is a separate case construction. It can be placed at center or not used at all. Currently, there is no glass in the cabinet section. I think the combination of the louvered drawers(2) at center and the elegant brass leg frame work really well together. It exudes a nice mixture of mid century and Asiatic influences. Overall. The condition is pretty good for a vintage piece. Most of the finish still retains a high gloss. There are some very minor imperfections like the nick pictured above, though, I would consider that to be the worst area the piece displays, other than that just some light scratches. The quality is there with the dove tail wood draws and sturdy construction. The fronts to the draws are made of some resin or composite coating. The inside of the cabinets and draw fronts in the center cupboards also have a Formica type of material, you can see this in the photos. The top and all the fascias of this piece are also made from some sort of laminate made to look like wood. This piece Features a center opening door and three center draws.
