Vtg Danish Mid Century Modern Teak server Bar Cart Poul Hundevad Mad Men Retro
A classic Danish serving bar cart/tea trolley by Poul Hundevad for Hundevad Møbelfabrik. The nice aspect of this design is the removable bottom shelf which can be placed next to the sliding top shelf to double the top surface. It can also be used as a serving tray. The frame is all solid teak as well as the raised lip around the perimeter of the shelves. Brass casters with rubber tires that roll smooth. Everything is tight and fits together well. No damage. Some light staining from use. Please see pictures. This would make a great addition to any modern living or office environment.23" tall, 29 1/2" long 20" wide. Beautiful Poul Hundevad designed piece. Please note there is a stain on the top shown in the photos. Drawers slide nice and smooth, the legs unscrew for easy transport. It has a drawer on the right side and shelves on the left. Teak wood throughout with birch secondary woods inside.This is a larger size at 59" long. It is 17 1/2" deep and 30" tall. The DFQC label has apparently had many versions. Older versions had a burned logo. A metal plate and some a metal foil. Versions that came later were paper or textile. In general it seems that the original name was Danish Furniture Maker's Control. This was changed in the 1970'ies to Danish Furniture Makers' Quality Control. The label pictured says Danish Furniture Maker's Control. I am not an expert but from my reading on the internet it appears that the label on the furniture dates the furniture from the 70's or before the 70's. The label on the furniture says Danish Furniture Maker's Control and not Danish Furniture Maker's Quality Control. The paper identifying information on each part of the credenza have the Poul Hundevad indication.
