Gourgeous inlaid mahogany Federal style sideboard. This contemporary reproduction has all of the hallmarks of one of these iconic pieces. The gracefully curved bow front shape is supported by slender tapered square legs. Contrasting inlay work decorates the drawer fronts and cabinet doors and cascades down the front in a series of bell-shaped flowers. The top drawer has been sectioned off and lined with green velvet. There is a serial number on the back of the piece. But there are no maker's marks. This piece is in very good condition. There is some light wear associated with use but no damage. It could be Pennsylvania House or one of the other major quality makers. One thing this piece doesn't lack is quality. Dove tailed drawers. And lots of detailed carvings. This server features a flip top serving surface with black melamine plastic and one adjustable shelf behind the doors. The single drawer has a pacific cloth drawer lining for silver protection. It is finished on all sides and has casters for easy mobility. The server is item#11-6237 and can be found on page#361 in the 80th edition of the Ethan Allen Treasury of American Traditional Interiors. Ethan Allen describes their Georgian Court line as having. I have a gorgeous KINDEL Buffet/ Server/ Sideboard on wheels. This beautiful server is approximately 38 inches long by 20 inches wide by 31 inches tall with the two flaps down and 60 inches long with both flaps up. The center drawer is 32 inches wide by 3 inches deep with its original brass pulls and wheels. The top is not perfect. But it is very nice for its age. DESCRIPTION You are bidding on a beautiful solid wood buffet/sideboard made by Henredon in 1999. This piece is brand new with original tags and still has plastic over cloth in top drawer. This was a blemished piece so used as a floor model. The flawed damage is on the back part of the side. There are also scratches and marks on the top. There is a small hole cut thru on the back. There is also damage on the back part and few scratches on the front bottom. All of these flaws are shown in pics. This piece could easily still be used. I have not done any touchups on it so some of the scratches could be covered. It looks like they put a wood putty in the damaged place and a small notch right at it has been cut. This piece is SOLID. Crafted by a firm renowned for its attention to detail and careful craftsmanship, and it is being offered at a fraction of retail cost. Designed in every detail after the Federal Period. This Hepplewhite sideboard has flaming mahogany veneers across the facade of the drawers and doors, absolutely glowing when caught in the right light. Each of these, framed in satinwood inlay, and the doors and drawers are finished in cockbead molding, beneath which the drawers are dovetailed and have the original keys. The brasses on each drawer are replicas of original American brasses. Noting the 13 stars which would normally date the design to 1790-91. 1930's Bassett Buffet Sideboard Server
This is a 1930's Bassett buffet sideboard server. The maker was the Bassett Furniture Company. It was painted over to give it the antique look. It is a wonderful piece and would look beautiful in any room in your home. It has the original stamp of Bassett on the back(see picture) You can leave it as is or strip to the original wood. Either way it will compliment anyone's decor. This is an antique piece and is the only one of its kind I have been able to find.
