Here is a really terrific deal on a gorgeous antique banded flame mahogany sideboard or server with nice original metal hardware and functional storage space including a large central buffet drawer across the top and side cabinets on each end with a large two door central cabinet between them. This lovely sideboard was recently imported from the UK through Edinburgh. Scotland and is a high quality mid-century English reproduction piece in a traditional banded crotch mahogany design. The top surface is in very nice condition and the banding around the top edges, drawers and cabinet doors as well as all the flame mahogany wood veneers are simply fabulous. A s mentioned above. This server is in very nice condition for a piece it's age and clearly comes from a previous owner who used it only very respectfully. This server measures 66 inches ... morelong and 16 1/2 inches deep. Front to back and stands at a functional 34 inches tall height, which also would mean this sturdy cabinet would also serve very nicely as the stand for a large flat screen TV within any more formally decorated room in your home or place of business. It also provides a more formal storage cabinet option for an office or room where you just need more cabinet space but prefer a formal traditional presentation. The sideboard has a large central buffet drawer 30 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches front to back by 4 1/2 inches deep. Below the drawer, is the large two door center cabinet which measures 31 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches front to back and 20 1/2 inches tall, leaving 7 inches clearance above the shelf and 13 inches above the base below the shelf. A beautiful mahogany Queen Anne style server by Henkel Harris. This server features two dovetailed drawers. One drawer has a lift-out silverware tray with silver cloth lining. Drawer fronts have beautiful banding and heavy brass knobs and key escutcheons. Server is supported by graceful cabriole legs and the skirt is scalloped. Gorgeous Baker 2530 Historic Charleston Banded Mahogany Sideboard Server
This mahogany bowfront sideboard is reproduced from an English Hepplewhite original circa 1790. Found in a historic private Charleston, SC house. Double banded inlays grace the highly figured top, while two maple fan inlays adorn the front. The drawers are decorated with rich canted and cornered linework, and are supported by tapered, inlaid legs ending in spade feet.
