Nice patina on the finished outside, with a few scuffs and scratches from use. Wooden pegs surround small iron fasteners, keeping the bent wood handle on and allowing it to swing. Small dent in dead center of the underside indicates that a compass-like device was used to trace out and cut a perfect circle for the bottom. No lid. There are no marking of any kind to indicate maker or age. Inside of bucket is unfinished wood, but rather smooth, a bit dusty. Please study pictures. A MUST HAVE for any primitive decorated home! Vintage White / Beige Ceramic and Wood Table Lamp - PAIR
These lamps were in my grandparent's house. They are probably from the 1960's. But they have no markings. They have a gorgeous graduated teardrop shape and a pure mid-century ceramic texture. Don't know what the wood is, but it looks like rosewood or walnut. The silver bases needs some touch-up, and there is only one shade. Work fine. If the shipping costs come in substantially less than what you paid, I will refund the difference. On Feb-17-13 at 14:39:01 PST. Seller added the following information: Update: After inspecting the one remaining shade more closely. I realize it is NOT in good condition. It is torn and has some stains that I didn't notice since the room was dark and the damage was facing away from me. The lamp measures approx. 17" in total height. 11" in diameter across the 8-sided shade, shade only is 6 1/2" high, twisted base only is 10 1/2" high, and 8 5/8" across the base. One piece construction- shade does not come off. Lamp looks great when on! Lamp has a nice patina. This is a wonderful wood whiskey barrel. Keg lamp with metal bands that overlap and attach just as a full size barrel. The lamp is in perfect working condtion and is free of any deep scratches or gouges in the wood. Measures 10.5" tall up to the shade bale and is 19" to the top of the brass bale. It is 5" in diameter. The shade is authentic burlap. Is in really nice condtion and I believe it is probably original to the lamp and looks terrific. An awesome addition to any cabin. Vintage Pair Of Ship's Wheel Wood & Glass Small Desk Lamps Both Work No Shades
This auction is for a pair of ship's wheel desk or nightstand lamps. The bases and spindls appear to be made of maple but stained cherry. There is a hobnail glass cleft halfway up each lamp. Most of the metal separating the wood and glass is brass. There are no lampshades with these lamps. Without a light bulb. They stand 9 inches tall. The base measures 6 inches across from end of one hand grip to another. Both lamps work, but the cords are the old cloth covered rubber cords, and they're both decaying.
