Large Figural Silver French Art Nouveau Victorian Newel Table Lamp Jewel Shades
Offered for your consideration is a fine silvered metal newel or table lamp formed by an art nouveau lady in a dramatic pose atop a graduated black marble plinth. I suspect that the base metal is spelter. Due to the weight, but perhaps it's pewter. The lamp is about 40" high by 18" wide and has three attached hammered silver shades with crimson red jeweled medallions at the tops and beautiful beaded fringe around the lower rims composed of a mixture of clear and red beads. The shades are suspended from typically Jugendstil whiplash floral sprays. The piece is in remarkably good condition; I see no evidence of cracks or repairs. The beaded fringe on the shades is completely intact, with no missing strands I can see. The silver plating is still very presentable, although of course there are some signs of wear, likely the result ... moreof a century of cleaning& polishing by previous owners. I have not polished the lamp in the years I've owned it, as I liked the patina. The pictures make the lamp appear slightly more golden than it looks in person. That is probably because the reflective surface is picking up the color from the wallpaper and carpeting in the rooms where I took the pictures. The wiring was updated/replaced at some point and is fine, as-is. I have been using it without fear or problems. If you are the winning bidder. I want you to be thrilled with the purchase. This is a very unusual piece from a old estate whom the owner's ancestor who once owned these items was a Ex Civil War Vet as well as a Mason. The Table Temple Lamp- Lantern comes apart. The doors, top, all can be opened and fits back in place. Magnificent antique victorian/ art nouveau table lamp c.1920s* This is a gorgeous antique lamp which stands 18 inches high and is 8 inches wide at the base. The materials include brass and other metals I'm not sure of. A magnet doesn't stick to most of it including the foot so its not iron-It is heavy though. There is a gold finish on the lamp. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy triple cut crystal pull at the end of the chain. The base has a beautiful acanthus leaf design. Antique Victorian Adjustable Bridge Arm Bronze Brass Table Lamp Marble Base
This is a heavy antique Victorian adjustable bridge arm bronze or brass marble base table lamp. I would date it early 1900s. It's a very cool. Classy looking lamp. It measures 30 3/4 inches tall including the marble base(78 cm) The marble base is 1 1/8 inches thick and 6 inches wide in both directions(2.86 cm x 15.24cm) The arm measures 10 inches from the main rod to the shade holder(25.4 cm) It's adjustable on the main rod to bring the light higher and lower. And adjustable next to the socket to move the socket up or down. It may have been a banker's lamp with a green shade originally. That would look great. As you can see from the photos. It MUST be rewired. There is a chip on the corner of the marble which measures approximately 1 inch wide by 1/4 inch high(2.54 cm by.64 cm) And a couple of other tiny flecks. AWESOME ANTIQUE VICTORIAN-ART NOUVEAU ERA TABLE LAMP W/CRYSTAL LUSTRES
Awesome antique victorian-art nouveau era table lamp early 20th c. This beautiful antique lamp stands 16 inches high and is 6 inches wide at the base. The fancy pierced shade ring is decorated with 30 strands of crystal lustres. These crystals have had new brass bow tie pins added to them. The socket is a brass pull chain with a fancy double cut crystal pull on the end. The lamp has been rewired. On the fancy floral solid brass final is a small area of pitting that doesn't effect function- see pix of this area. The finish on the lamp is bronze and gold. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. Magnificent antique victorian table lamp early 20th c. This is an absolutely beautiful antique victorian table lamp which stands 18 inches high and 8 inches wide at the base. The lamp has been rewired and has a hubbell brass socket shell with a pull chain socket. The chain has a pretty glass pull on the end. The pierced brass shade ring is gorgeous. It's decorated with 30 strands of crystal lustres. The lustres have new brass bow tie pins added. The lamp has a golden bronze finish. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. Shade is Champagne Tan Damask with Fringe. Pulled Nice and Tight. The Thick Glass is a Mixture of Etched and Pressed. The Metal Base& Post is Antiqued Gold Finish. It's Heavy and Solid. I Believe the Lamp has been Rewired. If you look closely at the Underside of the base a hole has been drilled(not sure if this is original or an addition) for a Night Light Bulb to Illuminate the Glass Portion of the Base. I put a new night light in and it blew right away, but the major light bulb works great and is unaffected by the night light performance. They are both dressed in pink& white with gray hair. Pink flowers. Gold accenting and lace ruffles. Very nice and great detailing! They have a felt material on the bottom. I could not find any markings. In good condition no chips or cracks on the man. The woman has a small crack on the gold base in the back, not noticeable still in good condition. This auction is for the pictured Victorian brass Cherub lamp with porcelain painted scenes. The lamp is not signed on the outside that I can see. The porcelain paintings are of the highest quality as shown. There is little doubt in my mind they are German. Perhaps Meissen or Dresden. They may be marked somewhere not showing. The candles are wooden. There is a tight crack in the rear main body near the top clearly shown. I was asked about it and realized it ran down below the castle. Its so ... moretight I overlooked it. I am adding close up photos. The bobeches have holes for prisms. The lamp could be used for real candles I would think. The wire is on the outside and it may have been electrified in its lifetime. I don't know the history I just have loved it. I have it on a 3 stage touch dimmer so I never use the switch. This works wonderful and will be included. The lamp is very heavy so shipping will be a lot. The shade is of the highest quality, lined and newer. Antique Composite Kerosene Table Lamp w Frosted Glass Font& Gold Cast Iron Base Description: Lamp base metal parts are a combination of polished brass and gold colored cast iron. There are no cracks or rust on the metal parts. Bottom glass section is reverse painted black with decoupage. One side is a windmill farm scene with horse and there's a pink colored rose flower on the back. An electrified burner can be used to convert it to electricity. It has not been drilled or converted to electric and there is no burner included. Frosted glass font has diamonds and thumbrints. Outside upper rim of font tank has a brass embossed#2 burner sized mounting ring marked Patd Oct 31. 1875, Halloween. Stands 12 inches tall overall.
