Large Figural Silver French Art Nouveau Victorian Newel Table Lamp Jewel Shades
Offered for your consideration is a fine silvered metal newel or table lamp formed by an art nouveau lady in a dramatic pose atop a graduated black marble plinth. I suspect that the base metal is spelter. Due to the weight, but perhaps it's pewter. The lamp is about 40" high by 18" wide and has three attached hammered silver shades with crimson red jeweled medallions at the tops and beautiful beaded fringe around the lower rims composed of a mixture of clear and red beads. The shades are suspended from typically Jugendstil whiplash floral sprays. The piece is in remarkably good condition; I see no evidence of cracks or repairs. The beaded fringe on the shades is completely intact, with no missing strands I can see. The silver plating is still very presentable, although of course there are some signs of wear, likely the result ... moreof a century of cleaning& polishing by previous owners. I have not polished the lamp in the years I've owned it, as I liked the patina. The pictures make the lamp appear slightly more golden than it looks in person. That is probably because the reflective surface is picking up the color from the wallpaper and carpeting in the rooms where I took the pictures. The wiring was updated/replaced at some point and is fine, as-is. I have been using it without fear or problems. If you are the winning bidder. I want you to be thrilled with the purchase. This is a heavy antique Victorian adjustable bridge arm bronze or brass marble base table lamp. I would date it early 1900s. It's a very cool. Classy looking lamp. It measures 30 3/4 inches tall including the marble base(78 cm) The marble base is 1 1/8 inches thick and 6 inches wide in both directions(2.86 cm x 15.24cm) The arm measures 10 inches from the main rod to the shade holder(25.4 cm) It's adjustable on the main rod to bring the light higher and lower. Awesome antique victorian-art nouveau era table lamp early 20th c. This beautiful antique lamp stands 16 inches high and is 6 inches wide at the base. The fancy pierced shade ring is decorated with 30 strands of crystal lustres. These crystals have had new brass bow tie pins added to them. The socket is a brass pull chain with a fancy double cut crystal pull on the end. The lamp has been rewired. On the fancy floral solid brass final is a small area of pitting that doesn't effect function- see pix of this area. The finish on the lamp is bronze and gold. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. For Sale is a 24" tall Antique Marble base Brass Table Lamp. The base is 4"x4"x1" thick and the lamp is 24" tall with the nice final.The font has a nice tan acorn scene with leaves hand painted.Very elagant and pretty lamp. The lamp works and light up. The cord is very old.But good condition. I found this lamp at an Estate Sale in a rual part of central Kentucky. Local pick-up is welcome. Magnificent antique victorian-art nouveau cherub table lamp 1920s* This is a gorgeous antique table lamp which stands 16 inches high and is 6 inches wide at the base. The lamp is made of brass and other metals. The gorgeous art nouveau finial is solid brass. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a very fancy triple cut crystal pull on the end of the chain. The pretty pierced metal shade ring is decorated with 30 strands of crystal lustres with new brass bow tie pins. The finish on the lamp is gold with coppery accents. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. Magnificent antique victorian cherub table lamp early 1900s* This is a beautiful antique victorian cherub table lamp which stands 17 inches high and is 7 1/2 inches wide at the base. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy aqua blue glass bead pull. The pretty pierced brass shade ring has 36 strands of crystal lustres decorating it. The lustres have new brass bow tie pins added on. The lamp has a gold finish on it. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. Estate Sale Find! This Lamp is Interesting& I'll Describe as Best I Can 32" Tall. It's a Big Heavy Lamp. Shade is 18" Wide and 15" High including Fringe. Base is 8" Square. Shade is Champagne Tan Damask with Fringe. Pulled Nice and Tight. The Thick Glass is a Mixture of Etched and Pressed. The Metal Base& Post is Antiqued Gold Finish. It's Heavy and Solid. I Believe the Lamp has been Rewired. If you look closely at the Underside of the base a hole has been drilled(not sure if this is original or an addition) for a Night Light Bulb to Illuminate the Glass Portion of the Base. I put a new night light in and it blew right away, but the major light bulb works great and is unaffected by the night light performance. It is hand painted with a gorgeous. Rich turquoise or blue green background and pink flowers. This lamp has been electrified and while it does work, it should probably be rewired given its age. The upper globe has been repaired toward the bottom of the lamp and thankfully on the backside. This is a beautiful. One of a kind, antique hand wrought embossed metal three dimensional cherub lamp. Lamp is unique and has very ornate detail. please see photos) I am unable to put an exact date on this lamp. But does have a cloth cord and appears to be quite old. This lamp holds two bulbs, and lamp sockets do rotate so they can be adjusted. Pull chains to turn on lamp appear to work just fine and lamp has been tested and does work properly. This auction is for the pictured Victorian brass Cherub lamp with porcelain painted scenes. The lamp is not signed on the outside that I can see. The porcelain paintings are of the highest quality as shown. There is little doubt in my mind they are German. Perhaps Meissen or Dresden. They may be marked somewhere not showing. The candles are wooden. There is a tight crack in the rear main body near the top clearly shown. I was asked about it and realized it ran down below the castle. Its so ... moretight I overlooked it. I am adding close up photos. The bobeches have holes for prisms. The lamp could be used for real candles I would think. The wire is on the outside and it may have been electrified in its lifetime. I don't know the history I just have loved it. I have it on a 3 stage touch dimmer so I never use the switch. This works wonderful and will be included. Vintage Capodimonte Style Victorian Design Table Lamp
This is a really pretty porcelain lamp with a victorian or colonial scene of a gentleman and lady sitting on a bench in the garden.All trimmed in gold trim with a really pretty red color This lamp still has the frame to hold the lamp shade and has it's original red glass finneil. very unusuall. I will be putting up another lamp the same color red but different design and base but i do combine s/h. I think this is in the Capodimonte style but it has no mark good luck this is 16 1/4 to the light and 27" to the finniel.
