The etched EAPG font is in excellent original condition and the Don Juan cameo base has been restored. Pedestal has new white paint and I see one cameo is pronounced and clear while the other is faint and hard to see Don's hat feather. Also I see the narrow section of the pedestal was damage and put back together. I do not know what technic the person used to do this repair and he has passed on now. Antique Fostoria GWTW Hand Painted Cosmos (?) Flowers / Floral Oil Lamp Base
Antique Fostoria GWTW Hand Painted Cosmos Flowers(I believe) Oil Lamp Base Cast iron foot is marked" FG" 617" If there is no bid in the first 24 hours we WILL put a reserve on it or END the auction. This GWTW oil lamp base is in great condition! See all pictures as they are part of our description! It measures approx 10 1/2" to the top of the brass rim. The cast foot is approx 6" square. The widest part of the font is approx 7 1/2" wide(at the two feathery leaf designs sticking out on the sides) The inside of the base. Where an oil pot sits(not included) is 4 3/4" in diameter by 3" deep. The glass base/font is in great shape and the colors include greens. Yellows, pinks and a touch of brown accents. There are some dirty spots and possibly some fading. It might come out nicer with a deeper cleaning and ... morepolishing, but will leave that up to the high bidder. I basically dusted it for pics. There are four seams on this glass font. The foot and the front/back don't line up squarely and you can see this in the first four pictures of the front and sides. There are raised feathery/leafy designs in the glass at the top and bottom edges and on the two sides. The two sides have a slightly different feathery/leafy design. There is also a wide swirled rib pattern in the glass. I believe the flowers are Cosmos flowers. Or something similar. I can see some heavy swirls in the glass. Which adds nice character. There are no cracks on this base. But I do see a chip which is on the rim where the oil pot liner sits, although the liner does not cover this rim very well. It could be possible this is not the original liner. The oil pot liner has some wear and some light surface rust. But that is usual for these old lamps. It is magnetic, so it is not brass. The brass connector between the foot and glass font is not magnetic and in good shape. It does have some wear to the finish. But no cracks. The cast iron foot has a slight rock to it. Signed boldly around the font"Little Duchess" with three stars following each word. Coiled wire acts like a spring that holds the font in place when carrying around at night. Circa 1880's to 1900'Alva' pattern kerosene stand lamp. Please reference Thuro book 2 page 117 figure o& p for the opalescent versions of this lamp. Lamp is 7 3/4" tall to the top of the#1 fine line brass collar. With a 4 1/2" base diameter. Font. Stem and base all have an acid finish. Overall very condition with no large chips or cracks. Has the usual bubbles, straw marks, and base wear. Mold roughness, small nicks and small flat flakes along the edge of the base. Two internal bruises on the base. One on the top edge and the other on the underside. One internal bruise on the font in the middle center rib area. I did not see this until I was writing up my description an d checking for flaws. You are bidding on a large brass oil lamp column base. The column is fluted supporting a decorative capital which has a beaded top and threaded inset for the under font. The internal diameter of the thread is 7/8” The column is supported on a conical beaded/stepped base which is decorated with deep raised folate decoration. A CHARMING LIKEABLE VERY RARE AND VALUABLE OLD VICTORIAN PUG DOG OIL LAMP BASE. THERE ARE A COUPLE OF MANUFACTURERS FAULTS. IN THE SHOULDER OF THE LEFT LEG. THERE APPEARS TO BE A CRACK. THIS IS A MARK AND NOT A CRACK. IN THE PLINTH THERE IS A MARK WHICH GOES FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE PLINTH THROUGH TO THE TOP OF THE PLINTH. Up for bid a beautiful antique opaline oil lamp it's a banquet style the font and the bottom part has a bronze on the center. It has cherry blossom embossed floral motifs the burner is eagle and it measures 20 or 19.5 to burner and with the chimney it's 28in the bottom is solid brass very heavy with footed and it's about 7inches and the font is 21inches around, it's in great condition I bought it several years ago on ebay. Antique Depose Oil Lamp with Blue Thumbprint Glass Font and Silver Spelter Metal Base and Agate Stem Description: Footed table lamp has a brown colored agate or stone stem section. Base is silver finished spelter metal or maybe pewter. Glass font tank is blue glass with a thumb print honeycomb pattern. The pattern can be felt on the outside. Glass section is in perfect condition with no cracks. Chips, or cloudiness. Glass does have lots of tiny little air bubbles cased within the glass. Burner collar is unmarked and shows signs of age(tiny stress cracks) upon very close inspection. Burner seems complete and burns a flat wick. Included. Wick adjustment knob works fine. It is marked with a lion and the letters O. E. B. The knob nameplate has a crack as pictured. One chimney mounting tab is missing. Needs a 2 inch fitter chimney and lamp oil ... moreto be ready for use. Has not been drilled. Converted, or restored. Metal has an aged patina but would benefit from a quick polish. There are no scrapes. Dents, breaks, or repairs. Measures 13 inches tall overall. Glass font tank section measures approximately 5.75 inches in outside diameter. Item has a beautiful clambroth base reminiscent of Boston Sanwich Glass. The lamp had been electrified with a hole drilled up through the middle. Other than the conversion the lamp has no chips. An unusal Victorian/ Edwardian heavy ceramic lamp base. Possibly originally for an oil lamp. It stands 6¾" 17cm to the top of the fitting and has a makers mark to the base as shown. There is damage to the tail end of one of the creatures and there is a split to the metal fitting at the top. Not perfect but still a nice old item so offered for sale in the hope of a good home. 13 inch high figural stem oil Lamp. This lamp has a 4 7/8 X 4 7/8 inch X 1 inch high metal base. The figure is the bust of a beautiful woman. The figure is 6 inches tall and is supporting a brass colored base that holds a glass font for the lamp oil. The glass is 3 1/2 inches tall and 6 inches across. On top of that is a brass colored cover that the burner screws into. The glass font has some etching on it. There are 2 cracks in the glass font. The font could be turned so that the cracks were in back. Lamp has fine detail.

There is slightly more white plaster adhesive showing on one side where the font is attached to the bronze base, than on the other, so it looks like it wasn't quite sitting square when the base was fitted. A professional can probably take the lamp to pieces and reposition the base. Alternatively it looks just fine as it is. If it is turned slightly, you can't see it leaning. Cut Glass Oil Lamp Font A very High quality oil lamp indeed. A reeded stepped copper. Brass and china base houses a particularly good triple cut faceted glass font in perfect condition. The font is fitted with a classic hinks/messengers bayonet fitting collar which houses a very good hinks no2 Duplex rise and fall burner. The lamp is finished with an original victorian acid etched reeded globular shade. The overall height of the oil lamp including the chimney is 65cm 25 1/2 inches tall. The shade is just over 18cm tall and 20cm 8 inches wide. The diameter of the font is 17cm just shy of 7 inches. Postage UK £10. Europe £30, USA and Canada £45. A 1 3/4" tall little lamp base that was used a century ago as a night light. It is an antique oil lamp. The 1800's version of our little plug in night lights. This is the base ONLY, it has no burner or other parts, just the glass base itself, and it is very old, an early hand B lown I nto M old lamp( BIM) Dating well over 100 years old. Glass lamp is embossed: L. H. OLMSTED/ NEW YORK- LITTLE HARRY'S/ NIGHT LAMP" Base too is embossed. It is somewhat weak and smudged but from what it looks like and with what research we did, it looks like it is a" MAR 20'77" date. Condition: Lamp is in nice clean condition. But it has a broad flat chip off of 1/3 of the base though it still stands upright just fine. Age: An early hand-blown lamp(Blown-In-Mold = BIM) Ca. late 1800's. A ntique oil or kerosene lamp base and shade are hand painted in Gone With the Wind style. Both pieces are milk glass with maroon and pink flowers with white and blue with beading. Each is painted on both sides. The base is more teal than. The shade more blue and shade has a yellow band on the bottom rim. The base is cast bronze or brass with an ornate design and a screw in opening. There is no burner or chimney. It has not been electrified and there are no cracks. There is chipping on both rims of the shade only. There is discoloration around the area where there is paint loss. Possibly from spilled oil. Still good condition for it's age, which dates to the late 1800's to early 1900's and being sold as found, could be a fun restoration project. This is heavy and large.
