ANTIQUE GLASS/CRYSTAL HURRICANE LAMP WITH PRISMS - WORKS
For Sale: A beautiful hurricane lamp that is still in working condition. I'm not sure if the material is glass or lead crystal. It's very heavy like crystal and looks like it. But I can't be sure. It measures 11-1/2" tall by 5-1/2" wide. It's not a real thin lamp like some lamps of this type. The glass/crystal on the stem is a little wider and it's very well made. It still works. It just needs a globe. The prisms are all there. The wires have rivets on the ends which is how they stay hooked on the lamp. Two of them are missing the rivet. They still hook to the shade just fine. You just have to bend the wire a little. There is also one rivet missing on one of the wires on the top of one of the long prisms. I did the same thing, I just put the wire through the prism and bent it upwards a bit and it's fine. ... moreOne of the prisms is just a tiny bit rounded on the end versus the sharp V. I'm not sure if it was chipped and then sanded and polished at one time or not. It isn't noticeable. It blends fine because it's the very tip and you really have to look to notice it. All of the prisms are there. I removed some of them for a couple of photos. They are not missing. I also removed all of them so interested buyers could see exactly what the lamp looks like. The prisms will also be removed for shipping. Please review photos closely before bidding. I take many pictures in an effort to ensure that item condition is available to bidders. A fantastic lamp from the mid twentieth century with lines that are retro to the 20’s and 30’s. Elegance that is not found in the newer lights. Light it up in 1.4, or 5 lights. This lamp is very large. Hanging 42” from the top of the fixture to the bottom of the last prism. Comes with a 12” cord. The switch is on the body of the top piece. It is about 10” across the top piece. The 5 hanging lights are about 8” from the top of the rim to the bottom of the prisms. There is some tarnish on the top outer lamp and a small flake of the plate has come off of the bottom light(see photos 6& 7) Some prisms are missing but they are not hard to find or replace. RARE Antique Crystal may be Murano blown glass lamp With prisms 1920's- 1930's Up for auction Is an incredible antique 1920's- 1930's floor lamp. I have never seen a lamp like this one. Made of mostly blown crystal glass(maybe Murano) from the base all the way to the top of lamp. Beautiful glass prisms. Stands about 72" tall. Lamp works perfect takes a large mogul style 3 way bulb. Looks beautiful when lit up it spreads a beautiful array of light across the ceiling. Lamp is in good condition. There are a few of the top curved pieces that are loose they are held in place by plaster sockets which is how they did it back then. I have a beautiful victorian electric lamp with a lot of crystal prisms. 3 lights with little cloth shades size 3 3/4' by 2 1/2' White marble base with a felt table protector on the bottom. the lamp stands 14" tall middle lamp and the outside lamps stand 12" tall. 12 1/2" ACROSS. RARE LARGE Antique Vintage Italian Tole Gold Gilt Hollywood Regency Table Lamp or Light w Crystal/ Glass Prisms and Solid Marble or Alabaster Base! This is a beautiful and stately Original Italian Toleware piece standing approx 30.5" tall to top of socket. And 43" Tall to top of harp. Loaded with 30 light-dazzling crystal or glass prisms, 15 sets of smaller octagon holding a larger tear-shape Italian faceted prism. The prisms are vintage original and NOT modern additions. The base is VERY HEAVY and SOLID Marble or Alabaster(measuring approx 3" Wide/Deep x 4.5" Tall and is even beveled on the top! What a sign of quality detail! very beautiful and also functional to appropriately weight the lamp down as it is rather tall. There are a couple of small nicks or scratches in one side of the marble which should show in pic 6- ... morenot a chip but small scratches on side w dark smudges. Not significant to us but perhaps to you. The very bottom decorative brass portion of base is approx 5" square. It's in working order(as shown in pics) But sometime the cord is a little persnickety. If you don't move it around it is fine, but sometimes during movement it gets picky. This hasn't been an issue for us as we always left it in one place, but wanted to mention for full disclosure. Likewise, although I had NEVER noticed prior to taking pics and inspecting fully for listing purposes) I think it is actuallly missing one leaf. We've had it for ages and I never noticed this before, even when I originally purchased it, as due to the type of lamp style it could be easily overlooked as I had done. Again, only mentioning for full disclosure. The beautiful prisms will be removed and wrapped separately from lamp for safety in shipping. For Sale is a 33" tall large Victorian GWTW type Table Lamp with Prisms. The nice base is 8"x8"x8 and the lamp is 33" tall. There are 3 tear drop Prisms on the lamp. The shade is huge 28" wide and 14" tall with a 12" hole in the top. Is has flowers and vines in a thick type of paint on the font or base.Very elagant and pretty lamp. The 42 are 2&5/8 inches long without the wire and 1&1/4 in diameter at the widest point. 6 fancy crystals. 4 have top hexagon tops and wires, 2 with no tops. The 4 with tops are 2&5/8 inches long. The tall lamps are hand blown, cut to clear, royal blue glass. These are quality made lamps with attention to detail around each cut- photos do not do them justice. The scalloped edge top is hand cut with notches as shown, the neck or stem of the lamp is cut to clear with clover style shapes which are repeated around the cut base. The 10 cut crystal prisms on each lamp are 2 parts, octagon diamond at the top and long, elaborately cut, 3 sided Prince Albert style drops with spear ends, believe they are original to the lamp however they vary in length some. Antique Double Arm Candelabra We are offering a beautiful candelabra with prisms in various shades of amber and amethyst. Very unique and very pretty. It has two arms each containing 12 prisms. The light sits in the center of each and looks like a candle with a swirled amber light bulb(both bulbs included) The center of the lamp has eight longer teardrop prisms and a center sphere with a rosette. Since this is such an old lamp. You may find a couple of fleabites on the prisms which is consistent with age. The lamp is either bronze or brass, I'm not sure. This is SPECTACULAR! What a unique design! This ornately ensconced lamp has a formidable dragon sitting atop what would have been the oil font done in black. The underside is hallmarked but I can only read half of it. It is stamped"Birmingham" on one side and"cliff" on the other. I wish I could find any information about this piece. The shade frame is in perfect shape but the silk has rotted and needs to be replaced. The cord is the original silk wrapped cord and also needs to be replaced. The crystal base has no chips. Nicks, cracks or repairs. There are a few minor nicks in a few crystals. 3 eye screws that hold the crystal on to the lamp have been replaces with regular brass screws and is hardly noticeable. The bronze twisted metal accents are in very good condition. The cut crystal shade is in grat condition with no chips, nicks, cracks or repairs. MEASUREMENTS: The lamp is 24" tall x 14" wide. It is hung with a single tier of cut crystal arrow drop lusters and was beautifully made with a victorian style. This piece is stunning. What a find. Two small chips are found on the top of the crown shaped bowl and two of the crystal prisms have been carefully repaired. There is some illegible writing found under the base. Pair Vintage Antique ? Crystal Cut Glass Table Lamp With Prisms Etched Hurricane
I looked over the glass base and did not see any major issues with the glass base. Actually did not see any issues and I looked pretty closely. The one etched hurricane has a crack in the base that can be seen in the picture. Both lamps need to be rewired. Two crystals are missing. I was able to easily take apart one lamp by hand while the other has rust. I want to cut the cords off and part the lamps for safe shipping. Please advise me of any special requirements you might have before buying. Doing an excellent grade A+ job packing is not a special requirement and is included in the price of this item. The bottom square part of the base is 4 1/8" and the top round glass part of the base measures 4 3/4" diameter. 2/21/2014 UPDATE: Based on all the interest and questions I am having in the lamps I decided to cut the electric cords off and really examine both lamps. Two things I have noticed that are note worthy. One semi-pear glass midsection has 4 hairline cracks. The glass is very thick and these cracks do not carry into the inside of the glass. I never noticed these cracks until I really examined the individual pieces looking for issues. The rest of the glass pieces on both lamps look good. One piece of wire that hangs through the glass base is missing. This thin piece of wire allows the crystal to hang from the lamp. The cords are off and ready to have new wiring. The existing lamp fixtures on the lamps look to be in good condition and will work just fine. New wire and inline switch will be needed. 2/21/14 UPDATE: New wire and plugs added. Kept the switches as new ones would not match the quality of the existing ones. Little over 7 foot long cords. All the effort of wiring and costs means I am not likely to accept a best offer

We found this old lamp a while back in beyond shabby condition and in need of a remake. We had to save it. Had it cleaned up, painted an antique gold, rewired it with an on/off switch on the cord, and had new felt placed on the bottom. It is heavy, made of metal and weighs about 10 pounds. The globe did not come with it, and is not included in the Auction, only to show how well a globe shade would look on it. It has been Listed separately on Auction, and SOLD! Believe the lamp may have originally held a smaller globe or different type of shade as this one is a little large and doesn't need tightening of the screws to hold it in place, which makes us believe it should have a smaller one. The pink prisms are newer ... moreones we added(14) as we had used a pink shade on it and will include them with the lamp, or discount you if not interested in them. These could be replaced with older ones you have if you like. We can find no Makers mark on the lamp. With a globe of this size(9" a top the lamp.
