They are hand painted in brown on the unique design. The inside top of the shade is rough with what seem like chips but it is the craftsmansh i p of these old shades. They a re heavy and solid but delicate at the same time. They stand 5 1/2" high and the base diameter is 4 3/4" at the widest edge and approx 4" at the very bottom base of the shade. Up for no reserve auction is a set of 3 Antique slag glass panel lamp shades. The round shade has no cracked panels. It is approximately 9.5" tall. 8" diameter at the top and 3.25" at the bottom fitter. The square overlay shade with flowers has 4 panels which are all in good condition. It looks like 2 were replaced at some time. It measures 7" tall, 6" across the top and 5.25" across the bottom. The tall square shade is guaranteed to be Bradley& Hubbard. It is signed on one of the bottom clips holding the glass"Pat'd Oct 20 08" It has 4 amber panels and 4 green panels. My guess is that the glass was replaced in this. Also, as you can see in the last picture, there is some damage to the filigree. I posted nice, large pictures of all the shades. Large Figural Silver French Art Nouveau Victorian Newel Table Lamp Jewel Shades
Offered for your consideration is a fine silvered metal newel or table lamp formed by an art nouveau lady in a dramatic pose atop a graduated black marble plinth. I suspect that the base metal is spelter. Due to the weight, but perhaps it's pewter. The lamp is about 40" high by 18" wide and has three attached hammered silver shades with crimson red jeweled medallions at the tops and beautiful beaded fringe around the lower rims composed of a mixture of clear and red beads. The shades are suspended from typically Jugendstil whiplash floral sprays. The piece is in remarkably good condition; I see no evidence of cracks or repairs. The beaded fringe on the shades is completely intact, with no missing strands I can see. The silver plating is still very presentable, although of course there are some signs of wear, likely the result ... moreof a century of cleaning& polishing by previous owners. I have not polished the lamp in the years I've owned it, as I liked the patina. The pictures make the lamp appear slightly more golden than it looks in person. That is probably because the reflective surface is picking up the color from the wallpaper and carpeting in the rooms where I took the pictures. The wiring was updated/replaced at some point and is fine, as-is. I have been using it without fear or problems. If you are the winning bidder. I want you to be thrilled with the purchase. Antique Vintage Oil Lamp And 2 Frosted Glass Shades
NO RESERVE AUCTION for antique green glass oil lamp and a pair of stunning shades. These are not matched item- the lamp likely had a regular glass oil lamp shade on it. The 2 shades are pink and powder-blue. With very minor chips to the color at the bottom edge of the pink one, and a spot of black'smudge' on the bottom of the blue one. Not sure what the black is(tar maybe) but have not attempted to clean it off in case I damaged the shade. They have matching beautiful raised patterns on the surface of a vine with berries and leaves. The lamp is about 11inch tall. The shades are approx. 6.5 inch diameter and 8.5 inch tall. Vintage brass double student electric lamp fluted swirl shades
This is the very classic double student lamp- an electric reproduction of the original oil type- which I purchased from the original owner. The chimney and shade holders are brass plated steel. Everything else is solid brass and features 3 way sockets. The shades use a 7 inch fitter and are milk glass with fluted swirl design. I estimate this lamp to have been purchased in the late 40's early 50's. One chimney is shorter than the other. Comes without bulbs as I will leave those to your discretion. 1930S-1940S ANTIQUE INDUSTRIAL STEAMPUNK FACTORY-OFFICE DESK LAMP WITH DOUBLE-ARMS& NOTE-PAD PLATFORM& ANTIQUE GLASS ART DECO DESIGNED SHADES. This lamp is circa 1930s1940s and has a thick square plug-see pic provided. the double-arm frame is nice with Industrial Machine-age Steampunk sockets marked"Leviton" and sockets holders with circles in them-the socket metal holders have the three original screws in each which are used to hold the shades in place(see close-up pics provided) This is a sort of factory office desk lamp as it has a platform for notepad. Pen, and paper-etc. to be placed on(see pics) with original green felt on it-the felt could be replaced by buyer to freshen up the platform/lamp with a nice navy blue felt pad-it would look lovely-I have left it as it is in original undisturbed condition for the integrity ... moreof the piece so you see that the felt is worn and aged and dusty but is very easy to place a new piece of felt of your choosing(see pics of this feature) The switch to the lamp is located on the front of the platform/base-it is slightly askew and turns on and off well, I have not tried to straighten it. The double-curved-arms and the sockets/holders have some tarnishing/wear/and oxidation to the surfaces and to the finish-the socket holders have some rusting-please see pics-some parts are metal and some parts may be brass-the rod and/or arms may be brass or metal I am unsure-please view pics. Lamp works well and takes standard bulbs or candelabra bulbs like the ones which I used in the lamp in pics-see pics. Rare Victorian/Edwardian era pierced Silver Shades for candle lamps. All 6 are from the same local SF bay area estate. The first photo shows the 6 shades. The 4 in the front are individually stamped at the top rim: Sterling Pat'd Dec 16- 13. There is a hallmark of a block letter"H" with an arrow or some sort of a bar going through the center. The number 780D is also stamped on each shade. The maker appears to be S C& L Co. Which stands fro Shreve. Crump& Low. Together they weigh over 8 ounces on my postal scale. They are solid not flimsy. In the first photo the two shades in the back have more of an art noveau style. They are not Sterling. They are stamped EP 05 which I believe means Electro Plated 1905. The lamps have their 100% original cased-pink over opal'Queen's Reading Lamp' oil lamp-style shades. The lamps are very well made and use heavy-gauge brass. The shade holders alone are made of strong, thick brass with the central ring being cast, they are engraved with floral ... morepaterns and each have a fresh, un-engraved cartouche! ideal as a gift, see images. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique to older vintage(c1940s) double student lamp. This lovely lamp features French/Parisian styling. It is heavy brass construction with an ormolu, gold gilded finish. The lamp has acanthus leaf and vine pattern with marble base. The marble is white with gray to black veins and has finished, squared ends. A trio of OLD, leaded crystals adorn each decorative bobeche and a fourth dangles on the end of each arm. The candlestick sections are long and provide an elegant touch. The old shades are clip on style. They are silk fabric, pleated, ivory in color and have ivory brocade trim on each end. They are lined as well. This is a lovely. Old lamp with an abundance of charm and timeless style. It is in very good condition with some aging patina to the gilded finish. The shades are very good with one shade ... morehaving a separation of the lining at the top. The lamp operates with two, standard fitting, 25 watt bulbs. We have used shorter bulbs so that the shades fit correctly. The wiring is vintage with a new plug and the lamp is working perfectly. There is an on/off switch on the cord. The top of the frame has a slightly"pagoda" profile appearance as it is upturned on each end. There is a side shelf tray on each side with art glass insets. The glass is beautiful. It is root beer in color with striations of gold, and some blue/gray. The glass is slightly seeded. The divider features two hanging lamps with original brass diffusers and blown glass shades. The lamp arms are different heights for added interest. The shades are delicate and fine(not thick or heavy) They are smooth ... moreon their exterior with a swirled interior. The shades are clear glass with a very soft gold to the swirled pattern. The glass does have a very large pontil mark on one shade and a smaller pontil mark on the other. The lamps have adjustment screws on each arm so the shades will lock in place at different angles. The shades are held in place with the large brass diffusers. The lamp has an on/off switch on the bottom of the room divider frame. The lamp operates with regular 60 watt bulbs(one per each arm) The bottom of the frame is raised with legs on each side. There are no manufacturer's marks or stickers but the lamp is quite nicely constructed and was a"higher end" lamp in its day(c1960s) It is in very good condition with only minor signs of age. There is some slight wear to the finish but only in a couple of areas and nothing distracting. The wiring is original but the lamp is working perfectly. The glass shelves are very good. Antique Pair of Glass Beaded Flower Lamp Shades with Extra Beads
This is a pair of antique glass beaded flower small lamp shades. The lamp shades have a solid metal frame. I think that is brass. But I'm not sure. The frame is hexagonal. The lamp shades have beads and flowers on wire. The beads color are clear, black and yellow. The flowers color range from light to darker pink. Inside the frame have small green glass beads and few clear ones. The one of the lamp shades has a flower with piece broken off. please see picture number 5) Some of the flower beads are little bit loose. Some of the wires have some repair. This is an absolutely stunning lamp. It was purchased at an estate sale a few years ago. The bottom said made in holland but they put my sold sticker over it and it peeled a little off(see pics) It is brass and crystal or glass with 3 pattern frosted look globe shades. It could also probably use a good polishing. The arms seem a little loose but it might be made that way to adjust. It sits up just fine. Globes are attached with clips. Approx. 17" tall and 15" wide. I wish I knew more about this one. I always joked that if the roadshow came. This is what I would take! I just don't have a great spot for it anymore and it deserves a lovely home.
