OUTSTANDING ANTIQUE LITTLE BUTTERCUP MINI OIL LAMP EXCELLENT CONDITION NR
This is for a classic little oil lamp named'Little Butter Cup. which is written on the side of the font in bold, raised letters. I don't see any problems with this little oil lamp at all, except that the old wick in the burner won't come up when I turn the wheel. I think this is due to the age of the wick which is disintegrating. I new stiff wick should work. There is serious wear to the base rim. Found at an estate sale a really unusual 1950s 60s faux fur solid brass and marble retro lamp in great condition. Works perfectly. I can't find a makers mark any where. The detail is fantastic! Extremely nice sparkly crystals that have a blue iridescent shine to them. Very very fancy! Please write me at anytime for more photos or questions. Solid black marbleized lower base. I can't find any breaks. Cracks or chips to the solid brass at all. I don't sell lamps so I hope I have explained enough about the lamp. The fur shade is in excellent condition with no fur loss at all. There is a spot on the backside that does show some very light aging to it. The applied piping trim around the shade is in ex shape. No reserve past opening bid for this gorgeous high quality guaranteed antique(circa 1915) leaded glass table lamp. Numbered"9" under base but otherwise mark appears illegible, see photo. Lamp has 16" diameter shade and stands 22" high, looks nice on or off, see pictures. Beautiful leaded art glass shade features graduating size light caramel colored segments over a band of darker caramel rectangles, with an apron consisting of 2 rows of colorful turquoise and blended color segments separated by light caramel segments and connected by alternating jewel-like green and red tapered oval pieces. Glass is all original. No replaced pieces. The leading has a gold tone finish, some minor wear. Metal base has color, shape and design that compliments the shade nicely. Original finish, minor wear only, see photos. The two sockets ... moreand pull chains work smoothly. The shade rests on a brass disc, which is unseen but is probably a replacement, looks newer. Antique French spelter metal lamp base with cherubs. This piece is 10 1/2 inches in height. 2 3/4 inches across the bottom and weighs 2 pounds 8.1 ounces. It is signed FRANCE near the base. It is in fair to good condition, with wear showing on most of the raised areas and it looks like there may have been another vine. There are two ground spots where it probably would have been attached that were painted over with the same finish that is on the rest of the piece. Superb HANDEL Bronzed Metal LAMP BASE for reverse painted shade, chipped ice NR
Here is a bronzed metal HANDEL LAMP BASE in the form of a Japanese baluster vase molded with birds and blossoms in low relief. The foot molded to simulate a Chinese carved and pierced hardwood stand. It is in superb condition. This beauty stands 22.5" high x 7.25" wide at the foot(57.15cm x 18.41cm) This is an authentic, museum quality lamp base for the advanced collector. It has been completely rewired for safety, ready to go for another century of service. All three sockets, heat cap, cluster ball riser, and finial have the original amazing deep chocolate brown patina with green verdigris highlights. The acorn pull chains are replacements. But look great with the lamp. The sockets are original and antique with their original copper interiors. Each socket works perfectly, with strong clicks and easy pulls. I had the lamp rewired ... morewith new rayon covered wire for safety. The plug is an antique Acorn plug, that fits the lamp style very well. The green paint and gold trim is all original. The metal stand is also original and has the same green paint on it. The electrical cords are also original but in very bad shape. In need of replacing. The switch turns hard so it likely to needs replacing. There is a glass piece in the front of the can that looks original. There is some type of device located at the bottom area of the stand just above the 3 feet. It kind of looks like some type of heater. It has it's own plug and looks to have a large coil winding around the inside. The coil looks a lot like a heating element. But that is just a wild guess. The way it is shown in my photos the light is all the ... moreway down on the stand. And it measures approx. 46 inches high. It can be adjusted to have the lamp much higher if desired. The base is a very sturdy cast iron and is approx. 24 inches in diameter so it will not tip easily. The light can is approx. 12 inches long and about 6 inches in diameter. The front face of the can is marked" J.W. Beattie L.A. Hollywood Hi-Lite" It is a great looking old Hollywood piece that just needs restoring. NR HUGE ANTIQUE FRENCH PROVINCIAL FIGURAL TABLE LAMP 43" HT!
Really cool estate sale find! Extremely heavy and unusual French Provincial style lamp is 43" height total. From base to top of finial. Shade is metal with inserts and awesome retro jewel inserts. The base nymph figure appears to be cast metal. I believe. as well as the lower ornate base. The bottom base is solid marble with a felted protective under-layer. Dimensions: 43" height 16" diameter shade 8" width base This is very heavy and will need to be packed with extra care. Insurance and tracking will be an absolute must. $75 estimate to ship. But I will refund the difference if it ends up being less. Don't let this one get away!
