Up for auction is a very unique wall lamp. It is solid brass with crystals. Its about the mid 1940s and still in original make. It has two candelabrum lights. These have cracks on booth on the end of stems. As you see in picture#6& 8. After a good polish you will appreciate this beautiful lamp. It stands 10" tall. 12" wide, and 4" from the wall. Antique French solid brass bed side lamp with lamp shade and matching solid brass wall sconce. Lamp measures 8.2" and the base 3.1" Lampshade is 6½" high. 4.6" diameter at top and about 7½" at base. It is creamy white and a little dusty. Beige and gold braid with 1" deep tassels. The wall sconce is 4.6" diameter. The candle holder just over 3½" high and the"candle" 2½" high. MAGNIFICENT SET OF 5 ANTIQUE BRASS NAUTICAL WALL SCONCES. Beautiful set of five heavy. Brass, electrified wall sconces features detailed carving of tall ship sailing on a wave with ship's sails and flags flying in the wind. Ships mast and sails are painted in black and white with a red star featured on lower right sail(enamel work?and ornate scroll design work boarders the scene. Sconce has smaller"coat of arms like" ornament with red painted center that dangles below candle arm. Inside area of candle holder is marked"pat. pend.and there appear to be other initials located here but cannot make them out. All sconces feature what appears to be original wiring with original Ratner sockets and a switch on plate. There is a wall screw hole in middle of each sconce on wall plate. Single sconce measure approx. 10 1/4" tall ... moreby 4 1/4 inches wide. From candle base to wall measures approx. 5" Double sconce measures approx. 10 1/4" tall by 8 1/2" wide. Weight of double sconce is 2lbs. 5.7 oz. and single sconce weighs 1 lb. 13.5 oz. All pieces are in good vintage/antique condition. There is some wear showing on the painted portions of the ships sails. Double sconce is missing cap on switch. The buyer should assume sconces will need to be rewired due to age. Pair of Antique Wall Lamp Fixtures
Pair of really old wall lamp fixtures. The metal appears to be brass. It is painted over. There are a few paint splatters on the glass globes. Im sure could be removed with paint thinner. There are no cracks or breaks in the glass globes. The switches are the turn-type switches and they feel like they work ok. The wiring will need replaced. The pattern on the globes appear to be a flower type pattern, possibly roses. The globes are tinted a rose color near the upper half. The fixture comes out about 6 inches from the wall, then angle downward about 9 inches. These two particular wall lights were in my closet- I washed the globes and just dusted the fixtures. I have a lot of antiques. But am not a collector of glass, but the globes look like milk glass to me and are very thin. They are in great shape- no chips or cracks- one does have a little paint dob on one side(very small) that I am sure will come right off. They both worked perfectly. A pair of antique Arts and Crafts Wall Sconces. 920's-30's Hammered Copper Candlestick Holder mounted on a Iron-like crossarm wall bracket. I found these at a local sale. These are not marked and I have no idea who the marker is. Just looking at the contruction and feeling the weight of these sconces at 2lbs. ea.You'll be able to tell the quality right away. I totally took them apart and repainted the wall brackets, tested the sockets and the switches,One had to be replaced and unfortunatly it doesn't quite match the others, but on the good side the switch is hidden in the back of the fixture out of sight(see pic 5) I cleaned the copper dish on the candlestick holder as well as I could taking care not to damage the patina and verdigris. I replaced the socket cover with period dripping wax socket covers. These can be used both ... moreway either as Arts and Crafts or if you want the spanish influence you can use the trim escutcheon that mounts to the fixture with installation screw(see pic# 7) They take a standared base bulb up to 60 watts. The lighted pictures are with a 25 watt bulbs. I've tried to make to photos as true as possible These fixture have a weather look to them with the patina, verdigris and the weather iron treatment. The on/off switch is a button that turns. I believe that this is brass(could be wrong) The hurricane shade could be any age. I had no way of dating it. There is a slot on the back so it can be hung on the wall or it can sit on any flat surface. There is pitting and spots that have worn off. It does look like that some one had replaced a screw that holds the hood in place. This stands about 12” tall, 5 ½” long and 5” wide. The base is 4 ¾” diameter. Again this does not work.
