They are hand painted in brown on the unique design. The inside top of the shade is rough with what seem like chips but it is the craftsmansh i p of these old shades. They a re heavy and solid but delicate at the same time. They stand 5 1/2" high and the base diameter is 4 3/4" at the widest edge and approx 4" at the very bottom base of the shade. Vtg Antique Mission Style Quarter Sawn Oak Lamp Stickley Era Slag Glass Light
For your consideration is a Mission style table lamp. The quarter sawn oak base is 6 3/4" square and the lamp stands 19 1/2" tall. The 14" square slag glass shade has all its original glass panels. Though two of the panels do have cracks. Both sides are shown in the last two photos, glass panels are tight with no missing pieces. The vintage brass pull chain switch socket accepts a standard base bulb(bulb not included) The lamp has been rewired with an 18 gauge cloth covered wire and a vintage style two prong plug. Its just lovely with 2 goddess ladies and this adorable putti at the base. Its signed on back Petit and its got a tab on front that read l'univers- so I assume this piece is French in origin. This is a very pretty vintage lamp that I bought at an Estate Auction so I don't know the history of it. It is hand painted with a violet design. It works! I've never seen an electrical cord like this before. It seems to have a cloth over rubber cord that is in 2 different cords. It's attached at the socket section. The base was re-brassed in the late 1970's. It is still in good condition for being over 40 years since it was re-brassed. It has original felt on the bottom. The original shade was replaced by a reproduction of the shade also in the early 1970's. I don't know but the cord is in really good vintage condition but I didn't replace it. It works very well. That has been created using an antique colored glass Gone With The Wind handpainted floral shade, and placing it on a solid brass base. The base is a solid spindle throught the center, surrounded by 8 smaller spindles that are similar to old iron fence posts. The blend of the masuline base and the feminine globe is very curious and interesting. You are sure to NEVER see another lamp quite like this one. Really at first glance I thought that they were Cherubs- so this lamp is very subtle. The base and fixture are a little tarnished which is typical for antique lamps. The shade is not included. Hello and Welcome- This is a gorgeous GWTW Lamp. Standing approx. 26" high w/ 9 1/2" round ball shade. The 10 crystals can be purchased for an extra $20.00, otherwise they are for demonstration only. The lamp is in wonderful working order, with a tiny chip in the top of the shade in the back so it is actually hardly noticeable. The hurricane shade is a little crooked for some reason, so I just put a little twist tie or folded paper in the rim to keep it up right. It is a 3 way lamp, both top and bottom light up together or each one independently. The top lamp takes a standard white bulb, and is as bright as you want it to be. The bottom part of the lamp uses a little Christmas style light bulb, I used a red one to make the lamp a more"pink-er" or red hue. Here is one of those items that I have had stuck away for years! I think it would be absolutely beautiful cleaned up. But I’ve decided to sell it because I have finally given up on finding a tiffany style shade to put on it. Hopefully the new owner will be able to fix the shade up to its former beauty! Today for your consideration we have a PAIR of Matching Victorian Porcelain On Brass Base With Ornamental Fish Lamps. I started to clean the base of one and they do come clean with elbow grease. The Raised Relief Is very ornate and the Figures with wings at the top make a wonderful accent. The cords are not in good condition and I did NOT plug them in. Would recommend rewiring or repurposing. Measure 29 and 1/2" tall WITH the lamp hardware. To the top of the Porcelain Angel from table top 18 and 1/4" tall. The base measures 7 and 3/8th" by 7 and 3/8th" square. Heavy they weigh 5.13 pounds EACH. One is missing one of the four fish on the base. I see no other chips or cracks to the Porcelain. The Beautiful lamp has a double shade. You can choose to use only the milk glass shade or you can partner it with the linen shade as well. However, the linen shade shown in picture is not included. The main bulb is pretty large definitely not standard. The candelabra arms are standard bulbs. This has a 3 way option to choose the amount of lighting you need.
