Up for sale is an All Steel"Monkey Wrench" manufactured by the J.H. Williams Company prior to WWll. The Company name as well as"Railroad Special" is stamped on the top jaw along with Warranted and Made in USA. On both sides of the handle is W& B stamped inside a coined diamond pattern. The wrench shows working use but is fully functional and will be a nice addition to any quality wrench collection. 2 Railroad Serving Sets with Lids Antiques/Vintage
Believe these were used by the Canadian Pacific Railroad back in the late 40s because my dad. Uncles and grandfather worked for them. Good condition for age but there is finish removal in places. There is signed marking on the bottom but not legible to read. Believe the metal is hammered aluminum. Bottom is 11" length and 9"wide. The lid is 9" length and 7"wide. Railroad Pick-Ax Late 1800's W/ Initials ICRR. or it could be 16RR It is really hard to read. Maybe if you have more knowledge than I do about this stuff, you willl know what it is. Belonged to my husbands Great, Great,Grandfather he worked on the railroad in Princeton KY in the late 1800's. The Louisville/ Nashville Lines ran through Princeton I am not for sure what the initials ICRR stand for. It is in good condition for being so old it looks like the original handle.
