The writing surface is covered in black felt and pulls out to provide a larger area. There is a large overhanging drawer as well as two smaller drawers and a cabinet below, for even more storage. All of the drawers have brass pulls and escutcheons and dovetail joints. The lower area is spoon carved in a charming leaf pattern. This piece most likely dates from the late 1800's. This piece is in good condition. But does have some cosmetic flaws, as is to be expected in a piece of this age. Several of the escutcheons are missing as well as the door pulls on the upper cabinet. The drawer pulls are loose as well and one of the escutcheons looks like it has been reattached. There is a piece of wood missing from the molding below the desk top as well. See picture) There is also significant wear to the felted writing surface. No other significant damage or repairs. The entire desk stands about 88" 7'4" tall. There is slight damage to the left back side where a chunk of wood chipped off but it is painted over. I wanted to mention it. Antique Wall Hanging Secretary
This is a fully refinished antique wall hanging secretary desk primarily made of oak. I kept it as original as I could. The drawer pulls. Hinges, and lock, are all brass and original. The only new pieces are the chains and eyelets that the chains are attached to and part of the the back has a new a board due to it missing. The drawers are all functional and the piece is very solid. The lock does not have a working key. PLease note that is is a pick up only due to size and weight. I live in Central New York and would be happy to meet the winning bidder at an agreed upon place. I also travel to the Syracuse area quite a bit if that helps.

Antique Oak Secretary,Stained Glass,Circa 1900,Forest City Furniture of Rockford
Beautiful antique oak secretary with stained glass doors made by Forest City Furniture Company of Rockford Illinois. Forest City Furniture was located at Railroad Avenue at Eighth Street and operated from to 1919. It has carved claw foot legs on the front. The shelves are adjustable and movable between the top and bottom cabinets. The stained glass is a beautiful combination of of colors and shapes from right-angles to smooth curves. The original manufacturer's label is still attached to the back. The label lists the unit number. The cabinet maker, and who filled, varnished, rubbed, polished, trimmed and crated this particular piece. It measures 73.75" high by 34" wide and 18.25" deep. The top cornice molding looks to be a pine replacement but as you can see in the photos it blends in. The bottom cabinet doors were repaired ... morebefore I purchased it. The repairs are the two dark squares seen on the lower doors. Replacement veneer had been inserted and the varnish used darkened faster than the original finish. This is a Beautiful Antique Secretary Writing Desk. Looks to be in Walnut excellent finish, very unique in that there are 7 Hidden Drawers aside from regular drawers. Desk has the Pigeon Hole Slots, Center Door with Carving beneath door that pulls out as a secret drawer. 4 small drawers on each side of center door, the 2 bottom drawers on end are shorter than top drawer and when pulled all the way out there is a wooden track that comes out with a wooden box attached! On either side of the center door each side sides open for 2 more secret drawers and above the pigeon slots the curved wood also on both sides open to secret drawers. This is my great grandmothers antique drop leaf secretary. It's been stored for 20 years and just came out of her estate. This peice is 100% original and has not been restored(at least since it has been in our family) It has the original brass knobs and hinges. And a label on the back. I've include an image but I can't make out many if the details. Both the drop leaf and drawer have locks. But we do not have the key. It looks like it would take a small skeleton key. I'm not sure of the wood type but the stain is a mahogany. The clear coat is in great shape and is not flaking or peeling off any where. It looks like a lacquer finish to me. Beautiful Antique Secretary Desk Honey Brown Roll Top Desk
Really beautiful desk that we got from an estate sale many years ago paid several hundred dollars for it at the time. It has remained unused and mostly for decorations for the last few years. The chair is a bit rickety and needs some screw tightening but we were able to use it without a problem when we needed to. The desk is in good shape everything needs a bit of oil in the joints but again we were able to use everything in the desk as is. The desk is structurally in perfect condition an absolute beauty and a gem. This desk was given to me in a will from a lady friend of mine 7 years ago. She said it had been in the family for years. I don't know a lot about this item. such as year. origin. etc. It has old writing on the back"509 or 507? and it says cherry in 2 places? The knob on the very top right looks like there is a hair line crack were it may have been glued back on but it looks to fit perfect. Other than a few light scratches it is in really nice condition! Wooden Cabinet/Secretary/Desk with Drawers
Old fashioned"secretary desk" Cabinet opens into a desk with storage compartments and there are three drawers below. Upper section has three shelves with a caged door for displaying books or decoroative objects. This piece is in fair condition and needs some repairs. The little door in the storage area needs reattachment. One metal arm is disconnected and so the retractable support for the desk on that side does not extend automatically. The wooden tip on the other retractable support needs to be re-glued on. There are some chips. And some discoloration. This piece is ideal for someone that likes to rebuild/refinish. It could be really nice again! Includes two skeleton keys for the desk and shelf area. Local pickup ONLY in Queens NY.

up for auction is this great oak secretary roll top desk.Very hard item to find,bought it to refinish and make a hobby but don't have the time,so this is the perfect project for someone who likes to build with wood,there are cracks, and modern wear but as you can tell the desk is still in beautiful shape.old roll tops only go up in value,i believe this one is from the late 1800's how they used the block wood in the back of desk to lock drawers and dows used to put together.has all the slats they need put in and 2 knobs for the drawers and a couple of pegs.measures 47" x 30"very heavy all oak desk.has#23 stamped in it. 2 of the drawer bottoms need replaced.this is a locking desk too needs bottom lock.Excuse the knick knacks mom decided to decorate it,lol.none go with the desk

Vintage Herzog Secretary Desk & Steam Bent Chair Gloss Black LOCAL PICKUP ONLY
Nice drop down secretary desk. There is not much of the tag left on the back which reads Herzog Furniture Co. Michigan. It does have nicks in the finish, no deep scratches and the key for the small inside compartment is missing. Very sturdy. The desk is 24-1/2" wide, 39-1/2" tall and 15" deep. The bench is 22-1/2" wide, 15" deep and 22" tall. Comes from a smoke free home. This is a local pick up item only in Seattle Wa. Contact me about a meeting place before bidding. This is a beautiful Walnut Secretary Desk. Governor Winthrop claw foot style. I believe it is antique. There are no manufacturer names or anything on it to tell us. It is only stamped on the very back" No.9 Walnut" There are 3 shelves in the top unit, the fold down desk has a little" doored" cabinet, 3 mail slots on each side and 2 hidden compartments along the doored cabinet. The desk folds up. There are 4 drawers in the bottom and all drawers and doors lock with the key. The total height is 79" 6 1/2 feet tall) The width is 31 inches. The hutch depth is 8 1/2 inches and the desk depth is 17 1/2 inches. Really awesome!

Height- 80 1/2" Depth- 18 1/2" Width- 36 1/2" Chippendale/Govenor Withrup mahogany secretary desk with ball and claw feet. Solid brass hardware, key locks on cabinet and secretary desk foldout. In the cubby holes. There are two hidden drawers that can be pulled out. It has ball and claw feet and the original pulls. Front inlaid cover and serpentine drawers. Lattice work doors, fully intact, circa 1940's. Great shape.
