The base was re-brassed in the late 1970's. It is still in good condition for being over 40 years since it was re-brassed. It has original felt on the bottom. The original shade was replaced by a reproduction of the shade also in the early 1970's. I don't know but the cord is in really good vintage condition but I didn't replace it. It works very well. It's just under 14" at pictured. The glass shaft has chips were it connects to the base as in the photos. The mirror has a chip as in the photo but it's on the underneath side(don't know how that happens) The top side you feels is not chipped. The mirror has brass candlewick edge and an ornate brass center band. The base is also footed. The lamp works! I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its age but believe it to be several decades old. VERY UNIQUE Custom Made One of A Kind Antique/Vintage Lamp This is a very unusual custom lamp. That has been created using an antique colored glass Gone With The Wind handpainted floral shade, and placing it on a solid brass base. The base is a solid spindle throught the center, surrounded by 8 smaller spindles that are similar to old iron fence posts. The blend of the masuline base and the feminine globe is very curious and interesting. You are sure to NEVER see another lamp quite like this one. The base is SO heavy, that I can barely pick it up with one arm. It's SOLID brass, and I do mean. SOLID. The globe is in splendid flawless condition. Around the upper rim is an old textured piece of brass that is very aged, which is a visible sign that the globe is older than the base. Read all of this. This is an all original vintage or antique Capodimonte huge lamp Hallmarked Benrose(in black 366) It is in good shape for its age. It does have some chips on the flowers and a few others, they could be fixed by a proffesional. I have check here and was told they could fix it. I tried to picture as many as I could. At one time it did have a felt bottom liner but was not there when I got the lamp. It does have a sticker from Italy but it is unreadable, It is hallmarked and signed. It has 4 different porcelain sections that make up the entire lamp and is very heavy. Overall the lamp from floor to the top of the original finial is 38" from the top of the light socket to the floor is 28" I measured each section so you can get an idea of how this was made. Stating at the base It is square and is 11" by 11" ... moreit is 3 1/2" tall it tapers in to the next level which is the brass claw feet, that section is 7" by 7" and is 5 1/2" tall, the next level is the masive body and it is 9" tall but is 12" across, the top section tapers back down like a bell from 6" across and 6" high to the light socket. Then the light socket is on top of that. I left the shade on for looks but I think it was added sometime after it was purchased, if you want the shade I can add it to the shipment. That is up to you. It is full of handmade pale pink roses with branches and lots of gold gilt everywhere. I know my price is starting high but please realize I am offering free shipping on this. And shipping cost are around $145. The lamp is around 27 lbs I love this lamp and had it in our livingroom for about a year. However I have a small house and it overpowered the room. We called it the"Gaudy" Lamp, but it is absolutely fabulous, I have been researching it for a while and have not found anything like it. I was told it was probably made to order for a customer. Today for your consideration we have a PAIR of Matching Victorian Porcelain On Brass Base With Ornamental Fish Lamps. I started to clean the base of one and they do come clean with elbow grease. The Raised Relief Is very ornate and the Figures with wings at the top make a wonderful accent. The cords are not in good condition and I did NOT plug them in. Would recommend rewiring or repurposing. Measure 29 and 1/2" tall WITH the lamp hardware. To the top of the Porcelain Angel from table top 18 and 1/4" tall. The base measures 7 and 3/8th" by 7 and 3/8th" square. Heavy they weigh 5.13 pounds EACH. One is missing one of the four fish on the base. I see no other chips or cracks to the Porcelain. For sale is a nice solid brass 1984 Chapman table lamp. This piece is a larger lamp measuring at 35.5" tall to the finial. 28" tall to the top of the candlesticks, 8" diameter at the base, 9.5" wide, and 10.5" deep. This piece also weighs 15 lbs on its own, so it will weigh around 18 lbs once packed up. Lamp is in good working condition and is free of significant wear. Minor patina may be found here and there. SCARCE Circa 1910 adjustable articulating arm lamp with scissor or accordion armature. 2" wall bracket with four mounting holes. ALL ORIGINAL including the wiring. Which is the archaic string-wrapped type, cracked, and must be upgraded for safety. The arms of the lamp and the half-round shade are brass. The first arm off the scissor armature is 12" long. The second is 10" long in total- including the shade. Marked on lamp and switch BRYANT. There are small metal cord guides attached to each bar of the scissor armature. Stunning VTG Fenton Glass French Opalescent Coin Dot Chandelier-Brass Tone
Here I have for your consideration a gorgeous. Antique French Opalescent Fenton Glass chandelier or swag lamp. The pattern is Coin Dot, also known as Thousand Eyes because when you look into an"eye" you see 1000. The opalescence is stunning, almost transparent, appears as though you almost see through the glass. True artwork. The lamp is 39-40 inches from the ceiling plate to the finial at the bottom. This brass toned part is seen in the second photo. I will put this lamp together for you in photos. The second photo is with the font inside the metal framing, the font is 4" tall and 12" around at the widest. There is a night light bulb housing inside the font, up inside it. Next is placing the shade into the frame, I had to do this extra carefully for my photos because I was all by myself. This is why the chain is touching ... morethe shade in photos# 4& 5 and where the lamp is crooked- I was also trying to take the photos. The shade is 8" tall, 6"6 1/2" across the ruffled top. It is 10" across the base. The wiring is cloth covered, definitely needs replaced to make it safe to use, see photo# 10. The cloth covering is off one of the wires all together, it was dry and just crumbled off. Once rewired this lamp would be more fabulous than imaginable, all those artistic dots with tons of opalescence. It could even be put on a dimmer! It would shine beautifully over a dining room table, or add elegance anywhere it was hung. My photos do not begin do this exquisite piece justice. There are no real issues with this beauty. There is a small 1/2" or smaller feathered chip on the Inside of the rim of the shade as previously mentioned. This is not seen once set in its frame. No flea bites, other chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. As you can see, there is no chimney, but I have purchased a few that could fit, if so I will include it. Pre packaged weight is 8 pounds. Really unusual candlestick lamp. French"bouillotte" with adjustable shade, this is mostly all heavy brass and in very good condition with no flaws. I purchased this from an antique store, it had already been rewired but if you see the bottom of the lamp you can see that it's of older construction, appears to be 40s or before. The square brass shade gives this a wonderful Mission or Arts and Crafts feel, could be used in a country French room or a Mission style room just as easily. Works great as you can see. Takes a single candelabra style bulb with smaller socket, they can be purchased in any store that sells bulbs. As mentioned it has new wiring, switch in cord to turn on and off. 21.5" tall, 7.5" across the shade. Perfect for a vintage room! Up for offer are a pair of vintage collectable items from our family! This is for a pair of brass and white marble decorative table/parlour lamps. Tested and in working condition- take regular bulbs. These were professionally rewired in the 90s. So safe to use! Height of lamps is 11.5" tall and the brass bases are 3.5" diameter. These are sturdy. Quality pieces from the 20-40's we believe. Writing says Edgro Lamp CSA standard 13789 portable electric lamp approved by the Canadian Standard Association. It is in good condition for its age.
