2 Vintage 1940's Red Shade Hurricane Lamps
Set of Vintage 1930's-1940's Hurricane Lamps These are beautiful old lamps perfect for your collection! They are 12" tall with the red shades on. The shades measure 3 1/2" at their widest. The bases are glass and metal. The metal piece which holds the shade seems to be pressed tin. They are in excellent condition. There is a little bit of discoloration on the metal between the layers of glass. Both of these hurricane lamps were rewired by an antique professional in 2010. The off-white portion of each lamp is made of an opaque glass or marble material. The green'stick' portion is metal. I believe, with a green coating. There are some small chips as you can see in the photos. These can be turned to the back. The shades are in great condition for their age. They have a textured bumpy feel(seems like a heavy paper) with a gold flecked on coral ribbon piece along the top and bottom. The tone gives off a muted warm glow. Vintage Magnifier S. Lowe& Sons 5D"The Inspector Lite" Magnifying Lamp 1940's. Very interesting magnifying lamp. I'm guessing the early 1940's. Nearly all original. It looks like only the power-cord has been replaced. Also, there is a 3" x 5/8" lead disk that a previous owner screwed to the underside to add stability(not that I think it is needed) I was going to remove the lead, but decided it doesn't hurt anything, and it does add even more"character. The cabinetry is very solid, with no splits, cracks, or wobbles.The wood is solid hardwood, and to continue with my guessing, I think maybe walnut. The surrounding metal is painted a sort of a textured Army Green. It is the original paint. Like I said. The power-cord I don't think is original, but the rest of the wiring, etc, is. The lamp lights ... moreup-right now-although I think I would re-wire it, if I was going to use the lamp for any length of time, as the insulation on the wiring going to the bulb fixtures shows cracking. The bulb fixtures, themselves, have no cracks or chips, btw. Even the 6W GE"Daylight" bulbs are vintage-and may even be the original-given their brass ends. Believe it or not. There is a vintage light bulb enthusiasts forum, and this is my conclusion from reading the various enthusiasts posts. Brass-ended bulbs, they say, are cool: The rotating on/off switch is also brass, works fine, and looks to be the original. The top section of the cabinet is adjustable by loosening the iron wing nuts(on iron"stove" bolts) at the base. The lens diameter is 4" across. And is 8" above the base, which gives it a 5 diopter magnifying strength. The lens looks very close to being scratch free, with the exception of three pin-head-sized nicks on the top. One near the center, and two near the bottom-right edge. They are very shallow, and you can only just feel them with a fingernail. They are not distracting, to me, but I think a jeweler could probably polish them away without issue, if th

Beautiful estate find-old marble lamp in wonderful condition. See all pics for lovely design. To me it looks carved but I am not an expert. I see no maker's mark unless there is one underneath the green felt on the bottom. The cord is original but the socket is newer. Measures 10" high without the socket and the base is just under 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches. Weighs almost 4 pounds. There are a few wee nicks at the base corners and one on the top edge of the base(see pics) Very typical of this type of item and do not take away from anything(in my opinion) Lovely deep ivory color. I have not seen another lamp quite like this and am happy to offer it today! Thanks! Vintage 1940's Czech ? Shabby Chic Floral Aladdin Satin Glass Lamp
Coupled with the right shade this lamp will sing! SHADE NOT INCLUDED. USED A COUPLE OF MY OWN LAMP SHADES TO HELP YOU VISUALIZE WITH VARIOUS SHADES/looks. So pretty and feminine. It is satin glass and so soft and smooth to the touch. Bright gilding has faded to a muted gold. The flowers are bursting with life and gorgeous. I believe this is from the forties. I have cleaned the metal base to reveal a bronze-ish top plate and an intricate design scalloped base with remnants of gold tinge. Quite lovely. Metal neck on top appear to be copper w gold left in spots. Original felt base is missing. And easily replaced. I have seen these lamps described as bohemian, west germany, murano, Victorian, shabby chic, satin glass cased, 1940's. Lamp is a fine quality, well made and lovely, whatever the origins. This Vintage Lamp is in beautiful shape. Only flaw is in the round circle on the bottom of the base it has a chip. I have shown it in the pictures. Not noticeable since it is underneath the base. A pair of beautiful vintage late 1930's early 1940's mantel lusters. The globes are beautifully etched. One of the globes is original and is more intricately etched and is ~10.75 inches tall. The other two globes match each other and are replacements that have an etched design and are ~8.25 inches tall. All globes are in perfect condition. There are ten large 7 inch prisms for each lamp. The prisms are in fair condition and all are original. Some are chipped. please see the pictures. I tried to take pictures so that you can see the condition of the prisms. Antique Vintage Capodimonte Italian Porcelain Lamps #655 1900-1940
Italian Capodimonte# 655 lamps for sale. These are a matched pair and are very old. We found these at an estate sale and are in the same condition as found. Very dirty and need cleaned. One is perfect and one is cracked. Old Bakelite finials are broke. Please examine pictures of lamps to know what you will be receiving. Both lamps are hand signed on their bottoms. Hand made porcelain hand painted with gold enameling. Bases are good. I put a bulb in both and they both work properly. Cords are good also. The cracked lamp is definitely repairable. THIS IS A WORKING LAMP AND MEASURES 16" TALL TO TOP OF CERAMIC/POTTERY TOP FROM BASE. BOTTOM BASE IS 7" WIDE. MEASURES 25" TO TOP OF WOOD BALL FINIAL. PLEASE VIEW ALL PICS CAREFULLY. THERE IS A SMALL CHIP IN BOTTOM OF BASE IN REAR OF LAMP, A A TINY CHIP IN ONE OF PINECONES. SAME PINECONE HAS SOME BROWN PAINT REMOVED FROM THE VERY EDGE OF LIMB. ONE SIDE IS NEAR PERFECT. Vintage Chinese Table Lamp Floating Boat W/ Family 1940's, 50's Original Shade
I'd like to say this lamp suggests the ultimate in cooperative tranquility featuring your traditional subdued oriental family modeling the quality of.intellectually guarded behavior. The mood is that of two people showing solidarity in mind. Demeanor and a commitment to sameness. They seem to be relaxing on a lunch break.There looks to be some type of catch-basin at the foot of each person, perhaps a daily work station. The man is eating from a rice bowl while the woman is setting the mood with some music. I was struck by this lamp. The colors of the shade and ceramic pigment are right on(blues and blacks) The mood set. The extraordinary condition of the lamp. And the vintage shade acting as a house boat roof very much caught my eye. There's an atmospheric quality about this lamp. With the darkened shade you might sequester it's ... morepresence in some comfortable niche where it can be appreciated. The light socket is brass and the total ceramic composition is that of plaster of paris. I see a blossoming lotus tree carving in the very center of the cabin on both sides. There's a carved lion head at the bow. The shade is also in excellent condition. There's a heat reflector(a piece of aluminum foil) that was placed there to keep it from being scorched on the underside(see pictures)

Antique Vintage (circa 1940/1950s) Torchiere Art Deco Floor Lamp w/Glass Shade
In family conversations it is generally believed that this lamp was originally purchased in the early 1950s and handed down through the family since then. Sitting in a corner. But probably not in use for the past 40 years or so until I took it to the local lighting store be rewired. It has fallen to me to dispose of things like this and perhaps use the funds in a way she(my wife's aunt) would have approved. To establish the price at which it is listed. Vintage - Antique Art Deco Carved 'Alabaster / Marble' Mantle Lamp. pre - 1940
Vintage- Antique Art Deco Carved'Alabaster/ Marble' Mantle Lamp circa 1920's- 1940's This item is from an estate and has been in storage for many years. This vintage i tem is in very good condition for its age. The lamp was tested to work as seen in the photos. The'alabaster/ marble' sculpture is clean and crack free. The base is in good condition it is however missing one of the 4 original matching feet. To make the item'even' I removed the third'odd' foot and replaced it with two I had(please see photos 11 and 12) They unfortunately are not as tall nor ornate as the originals hence the the'lean' in some of the pictures. I have packed the odd third foot as well as a set of matching new feet to ship with this lamp. Though the new feet are not as ornate. They are there to use as an option if ... moredesired. The lamp does has a'chip' it is located on the back- right hand back side. right hand side as you view from the front) may be viewed in photos# 7 and# 8 its about 3/4 distance from the base. I try my best to capture all the features and flaws of this antique lamp. Please be sure to use all the photos attached to evaluate this piece. I don't see any other noteworthy issues but I leave the final opinion with you. As such this item is sold'as is' The lamp does work fine and comes with an extra bulb as well as the hardware described above. Even with its set backs it's still a very interesting antique early to mid century item. A nice addition for a room or your collection.
