The glass insert measures 6 inches high to the finial on the cover and is 4 3/4 inches in diameter across the bottom of the jar. This fine silver plate piece features a round base with 4 cabriole feet in the Rococo style. It has oval medallions around the base with a scrolling acanthus leaf handle that raises above the base. The glass jar is acid etched and hand painted with a large landscape scene featuring a mother and child walking on a large estate. The painting is further enhanced with heavy applied gold enameling. The castor is marked on verso "G.A.B. NS 1900", this for a possible Swedish maker.

They are hand painted in brown on the unique design. The inside top of the shade is rough with what seem like chips but it is the craftsmansh i p of these old shades. They a re heavy and solid but delicate at the same time. They stand 5 1/2" high and the base diameter is 4 3/4" at the widest edge and approx 4" at the very bottom base of the shade. Vintage 40's 50's desk lamp student lamp hand painted Victorian
This is a wonderful looking 1940's or 50's well made accent or student/ table lamp. It is brass and hand painted glass. The art is of a floral design around the glass. The hurricane or upper portion of lamp is missing but could be replaced. The lamp is around 9" tall and 5 1/4" wide it has the vintage key switch to turn on and off and its vintage receptacle cord. The four figures that comprises as the main section of the lamp and third the decorative lamp shade. This is the ultimate lamp for a Victorian, Colonel, or even an Art Deco room in your home. The base is brass colored cast aluminum or pot metal(a magnet does not stick to it) But the rod that contains the wire up to the lamp socket is a brass-colored metal that has some discoloration. I purchased this lamp in 1988 at an Antique Store for $200.00 and it has appreciated in value since that time. It has been appraised at around $350.00. But I am selling for only $250.00! I had the lamp professionally re-wired and I had the brass base added to the lamp. I also constructed the lamp shade myself with a wire skeleton and I hand-glued the fabric. Fringe and gimp. The globe is hand painted opaque glass and is 6 inches at the top opening and 13 7/8 inches at the bottom opening. The chandelier is 27 inches long from the hanger at the top to the dangling end of the crystals. This is a hurricane kerosene lamp which has been converted to electric. The metal is brass with intricate filigree accentuating the beautiful hand painted globe. The lamp can be adjusted by at least 10 inches in height by a hidden pulley system built into the top. There are no cracks or chips in the globe or the hurricane chimney. However. Several of the hanging crystals are chipped on the very tips. The ceiling hanger providing electricity is included. The crown shaped bowl is beautifully decorated with hand-applied enamel floral swags with gilt highlights. It is hung with a single tier of cut crystal arrow drop lusters and was beautifully made with a victorian style. This piece is stunning. What a find. This dazzling English piece is in good condition with some minor discoloration to the gilding. Two small chips are found on the top of the crown shaped bowl and two of the crystal prisms have been carefully repaired. There is some illegible writing found under the base. It measures approximately 13 3/4" tall and the base is 6 1/2" in diameter. What a lovely piece. Good luck. Victorian Gone With The Wind Lamp Oil Electric Hand Painted
A fancy Victorian Gone with the Wind style lamp converted to electric. The bottom section has a small bulb that does not burn. May need replacing. The top globe has a repair to the bottom rim area, a broken piece was glued. The good thing about this crack is that it cannot go any further, it started at the rim and circled back out to the rim, shown in photo. Beautiful green color, hand painted, was my favorite for years. Also has some chipping to bottom rim. No chimney. A little wear to paint, nothing major. Top light and switch works well. Antique large oil gone with the wind lamp with hand painted wine roses. This lamp is 29 inches in height and top globe is 11 inches in diameter. The lamp has a pale yellow background with blue. Highlighted with sprays of roses and greenery and roses. The lamp has never been converted although someone thought about it at some point in time. There is a hole drilled in the decorative base just large enough for an on off switch. The oil tank is still un drilled in the lamp and still has it wick. The top lamp shade has a very small hairline crack at the base where it sits in the fitter end, see last picture in description. Very hard to spot unless you are looking for it. Excellent Condition all Original but Top Globe was cracked in 1980 and replaced by a lady that hand painted another new globe perfect match. It is not converted to Electric the cable you see in the background is my Mom cable for our Tv lol. Also still has a unused wick and oil or kerosene? Very rare to see them not converted over to electric. I am glad it is not all original! No cracks no scratches looks perfect and beautiful for the age that it is. Up for bid is this gorgeous glass shade for a victorian hanging lamp. It measures 14" around the bottom rim. 6" around the top rim, 6 3/8 tall. The background color is a faint peachy color hand painted with pansies and greenery all around the shade. There are no chips or cracks on this shade, looks like a tiny imperfection on the inside of the shade but you wouldn't see it from the outside or unless you were looking for it.
