Early 20th Century Torchiere Table Lamp
This is a very fine example of the aesthetics. And craftsmanship, of the period. The base is solid brass, as well as the plinth below the column. The column itself is steel. The topmost part, where the switch is housed, is again solid brass. It obviously needs rewiring. And will need a shade. If it was up to me.I'd not touch the finish, it's a survivor from a bygone era. I feel the beauty still stands out. It's a heavy piece. Weighing in at over 3lbs. This was a time before the consumer was expected to settle for inferior goods. You got what you paid for. In all likelihood this lamp would have graced an upper middle class home at the time. The base is just shy of 8" in diameter. And it stands about 21" tall without a shade. This will ship with insurance.

Here is an torchiere lamp that has a stone or marble section at the top of the base. Veins showing and we do not feel any cracks, there is a fleck or two on the beveled edge. The lamp is 25 1/2" tall and in working condition. Some wear and oxidation on the metal parts, shade is in decent condition overall with some small flecks along the edge at the top and some small chips along the inserted end. VINTAGE 7" WHITE MILK GLASS TABLE/FLOOR/TORCHIERE LAMP SHADE W/ 2-3/4"
This beautiful vintage/ antique milk glass shade is in very good condition.There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. It measures approximately9 3/4" across the widest opening and 2-1/4" at the other opening, The inside opening about 2 3/4 It is about 7" tall. It is shiny white inside and outside.
