The ivory painted lamp has the classic stylized tole leaves around the rim of shade. 16 1/2" tall lamp with 5" tall shade(9 1/2" diameter) Good original paint with a couple places where the paint has been scraped. The blue student lamp has 5 1/4" tall metal shade, shade is 10" diameter and lamp is 13 1/2" tall. Has painted daisies on each of 4 corners. 5" X 8 1/2" base dimensions. Antique Tole Hanging Lamps Matching Pair Metal Flowers No Shades
This is a great matching pair of vintage toleware hanging lights. In the photo I put a shade on one so that you can see what it would look like finished. I think the shade is probably about 1/2 inch too long. No Shade is included in the sale. Each light has a bouquet of metal flowers. Five per lamp, the original paints in yellows pinks and greens. Top to bottom is 18" The flowers appear to be in a vase with the on/ off pull on the bottom of the vase. I have cleaned these up including the cord and chain but some of the detail on the flower center have dust. I'll leave the heavy cleaning to the new owner. I didn't want to damage the original condition. One plug is not attached but is included as this has to go on after the new shade and chain. This is a quality fixture of brass plated, tole construction. It is a 6 arm and 7 light chandelier as their is a bottom down light feature. The fixture has long, candlestick arms which attach to long, rod extensions from the chandelier body. They have tall candle sleeves which are also brass. Each arm has a tole, metal shade. The shades attach with screws so they are fixed to the chandelier. The shades are a very dark green with white interiors. The chandelier has a large section of brass chain and the original, brass ceiling cover/canopy included. There are no manufacturer's markings. We are pleased to offer this exceptional. Antique, Art Deco era, French Empire style, tole sconce. This uniquely designed sconce is black with silver painted laurel swags and ribbons. The sconce features a painted back wall plate. Two chrome arms attach to the lower section of the wall plate then curve upward and outward. The arms have pierced chrome sockets and smooth bobeches. They each house an old, frost to clear glass shade which features grape vine detailing and ruffled top. The sconce has a small urn located at the top of the wall plate. Out of this urn extend two arched vines with curled ends. There are two black tole shades, again with silver laurel and ribbon design, that attach to the upper vines. When attached, the tole shades overhang the glass shades. This is a very unique design and is quite striking. The sconce is beautiful. ... moreThere is an on/off switch located at the bottom of the wall plate. The switch features a notched, Art Deco pattern. The sconce is in very good, antique condition. There is only very minor wear to the black and silver paint. The white interior of the tole shades have some wear to their painted finish but, when attached, you can't see inside them. There are no dents, etc. to the tole. The glass shades are in very good condition as well. The only issue seems to be that the shades are either permanently mounted or someone has glued them to the sockets. They won't budge(To be honest, I didn't force the issue as I did not want to break the glass) The sconce retains the original cloth wiring which is in good condition. There is an old yellow UL sticker and a blue Union sticker on the back of the wall plate. The sconce measures 15" tall x 10.5" wide. It extends 5" from the wall. Have a few circular lines near the top. They measure approximately 10 5/8” from left to right on the bottom rim and 3 7/8” across at the opening on the top edge. They both are the shorter style. Measuring approximately 2 ½” tall. Both are white on the underside. Red coloring has some wear from the ages– but easily re-painted or restored– or wonderful for tole painting new designs on them. The third one. Found at the same estate sale that contained many, many antique lamp shades, oil lamps, and primitive lamp parts, is a bit different than the other two– but is the same color, has similar scalloped bottom edge– but is smaller and stands taller. The shades measure 4 inches high including the brass top and are 6 inches in diameter. The shades are 4 3/4 inches high and are 2 7/8 inches in diameter at the bottom. The shades are frosted and some you can see some bubbles in the glass. I have not clean these us they have been stored for years. They are in good condition with a few spots that are bent. VINTAGE THOMAS MOE FRENCH EMPIRE TOLE CHANDELIER BRASS MOUNTS SATIN GLASS SHADES
We are pleased to offer this lovely. Mid Century(1950s) vintage chandelier by Thomas Lighting/Moe Light. This is a very elegant, Tole chandelier with a French Empire design and Parisian character. The Tole is painted white with elaborate, brass mounts adorning each arm as well as the center column. Each arm has a nice finial at the bottom as does the center column. This hardware is in an antiqued brass with a dark patina. The chandelier has 6 arms. The original glass shades are present. The beautiful shades are white satin glass with a very distinct look and feel. They resemble both Vianne glass as well as Tiffin in that the satin finish is almost textural(sateen) in appearance. The shades have a delicate, scrolled pattern which is accomplished in white beaded paint. They have gilded rims just below their ruffled tops. They are a"slip" ... morestyle shade as they do not require screws to hold them in place and each fits perfectly into the pierced brass housing. This is a classic fixture and it is quite striking. It is in good condition with some evidence of age. There are some aged areas of the white tole which could be resolved with white paint. One of the brass mounts on the center column(there are two mounts on the column) has a tiny tip that is missing(photo 7) It is very hard to notice and it is not distracting. The glass shades are good with some expected wear to the fitter areas. There are a couple of minor flea bites on the tops. But these are also minor. One of the shades has an interior crack(photo 10) on one side. It cannot be felt and has not come through the body of the glass, but it there. The shade can be turned inward and this will not be visible. The original brass canopy houses the manufacturer's sticker. The chandelier is not heavy without the shades. The wiring is vintage and in good condition. The chandelier measures 19" tall(excluding chain) and it is 21" in diameter WITHOUT the shades attached. With the shades present. Vintage Italy Italian Toleware Tole Floral Flowers Table Lamp Regency new shades
This gorgeous vintage Hollywood Regency Chic style lamp has hand-painted Italian Tole flowers and leaves and has three-way function. The switch allows you to turn on solely the left light. Or solely the right light, or both lights for up to 120-150 watts of light. It was made in Italy. Not sure of age, but my mother has owned it for 40+ years. The stem color is ivory, with variegated green leaves, and flowers that include a rainbow of colors: pink, blue, yellow, coral, and white. There are a few spots where the paint has chipped, but this adds to the shabby chic quality. Paint loss and chips are consistent with age. The heavy base(with three-way switch) is ivory with gilt details and is in very good condition. I bought custom shades(a $45 value! and they are still NEW in wrapping. Wiring is perfect. Sockets are original and old, but still ... morefunction. These have not been replaced so do not expect new! The lamp stands 23.5” in height. From the edge of one lamp shade to the other, the width is 25” while the depth of the lamp is only 7.5” The gilt painted base is 5.5” in diameter. There are no repairs or missing pieces. The tray was made with five pieces of tin which appear to have been attached to one another by folded seams and a piece of wire surrounding the rim with the tin folded over it. The white plastic covers for the light have chips along the tops. They could be trimmed down or replaced; one of them has a crack in it. The shades have light patina of age upon them. They have some wear to the white paint on the interiors. They also have a couple spots of wear to the red tole, see photos.
