Vintage industrial desk lamp. Features metal articulating arms. Cast iron joints, a vintage cast base, an aged brass lamp shade, and three antique cast iron valve handles. The shade, base and handles have a wonderful patina. Wiring is brand new reproduction brown twisted cloth cord and a new antique style plug. Everything works perfectly and safely. The brass socket and turn key have an oil-rubbed bronze finish. The base is a heavy cast iron. Three separate joints enable the lamp to be positioned in a wide variety of ways. The handles at all three joints make re-positioning easier. The valve handles can easily be switched to the opposite side if preferred. I can do that for the winning bidder if requested. The lamp socket takes regular sized bulbs and looks great with a reproduction type bulb. The reproduction bulb is not included but I can ... moreadvise on where they are available. This is an Original Signed c1900 Articulated"O.C. White. Worcester, MA" Task Lamp, which measures 38 1/2"h in entirety; including the 8 1/2" signed iron bracket, and 4"x 6 1/2" bell shade. The piece was found in a closed Worcester, MA factory, mounted by the included iron mounting bracket, on a Steel Factory Table. The bracket and knuckle knob fixture are in excellent patina and condition. We are selling this piece in as found condition, and have not tried to remove the surface rust on both sides of the shade, or on the pipe arm. It requires rewiring to be functional. It has a great industrial look, makes a great wall sconce, and could be mounted on the right iron objet trouve base, to enable use as a table lamp.

Machine Age/Industrial Brass& Nickel Task Lamp with Opal Glass Shade Antique desk lamp circa 1915. The socket is Circle F manufactured in Trenton. NJ. The UNO shade holder has a patent date of 1912. The lamp is primarily polished brass with a polished nickel spacer near the base and a polished nickel screw to adjust the height of the lamp. The period shade is white opal glass with a nice orange fire when lit. The braided cloth cord is gold in color and the vintage plug is marked with the letters“CM” The cast iron lamp weight base is marked“146W” The lamp shows wear consistent with its age. The base has several dents as seen in photo 4 which do not affect the stability of the lamp. The socket has a nice snap. The lamp easily adjusts up and down. The shade has minor wear to the fitter. for auction a vintage Articulated Edon industrial shop work shop task lamp. It is in very good as found condition. It is working fine. The pull chain switch works well. The light socket is a Paulding Bakelite socket. I believe) The articulated joints are nice and tight. They hold their position well. It has the original base. The lamp can be mounted in two different positions on the base. And the base can be mounted on a table or even a wall, which will free up work space and make the light like a sconce. The electrical cord and plug are original. The plug is fine. The electric cord is in good condition as well. The exterior cloth on the cord is falling off, the interior cloth cord is damage free.
