This fabulous item is an antique student lamp/ desk lamp. This is an original not a reproduction. Vintage condition. this lamp has patina. Color changes in the metal appropriate with its age, no dents. Glass globe and clear shade in excellent condition, no chips or cracks. This lamp is electric and works terrific. Long brown electric cord 85 in. long. no makers marks. The brass compartment can unscrew. It can also be a"secret compartment" to store small things. Gorgeous ribbed green glass globe. White inside. A clear glass shade fits into the lamp. Estate sale find. I haven't cleaned this lamp. I will partially disassemble it for safe shipping. Antique Victorian Duplex Brass Double Student Oil Lamp Electric Original Globes
Hi. You are bidding on the most beautiful lamp. It is a Duplex student oil lamp that was converted to electric. You can see by the cord and plug that it is one of the oldest electric lamps you will ever see. It has been tested and did work when I bought it but the cord is super old. I would get a second opinion before you use the cord. The globes are LOVELY and even more beautiful in person. They are in good condition with no nicks or cracks. The globes measure approximately ten inches across at the bottom and 4.5 inches or so on the top. The entire lamp is 27 inches when measured from base to top of chimneys. I believe the chimneys are also original in that they look like old glass and they are the exact measurements of the original chimneys. One of the chimneys has some roughness around the base where it goes into the metal but it is not ... morechipped. If you collect these antique lamps. I think you are going to love this one. There are problems, but minimal. I see that there is one lamp socket that is sort of tipped to one side. There is some difficulty getting the round base for the chimney into the larger frame for the glass globe. But I think that all of these issues are probably just a part of owning a lamp like this. ORNATE BRASS ANTIQUE OIL KEROSENE STUDENT LAMP MILLER? FOR RESTORATION
Sorry. No International Shipping. Please note that our photos are below the item description. This antique student lamp is in need of restoration. It has been electrified at some time in the past. Luckily the wire came out of the burner section and no other holes or alterations were made in the lamp. In the 5th row of photos you can see the slight separation in the ribbing at the bottom where the wire came out. Other minor problems are there is some solder at the top of the oil tank with some very minor metal fatigue at the top. There is a dent on the inside of the oil tank also shown in the 5th row of photos. Obviously the burner has also been altered. There are no other dents. Splits or damages on the lamp. The lamp is made of solid brass(except for the weight in the base) and would polish up beautifully if that was your desire. Although ... morewe cannot find any maker's mark we believe the lamp to be made by the Miller Lamp Company. It stands 21 1/2" tall, is 14 1/2" wide and weighs 8 1/2 pounds. This is a great brass signed. Bavoux" on bottom of base and on tank cap) antique oil lamp. Also marked(not sure this is accurate) Brevet Dinven Et Perfection. Sans Gar Du Gouter. J.B.X. on piece which extends out to burner. Unusual design. Stands 16 3/8" tall. Very good condition. There appears to be 2 repair as shown one where teh burner extension piece attaches to tank and the back of the tank. The back of tank repair appears to have a small hole in the repair. Finger loop at top appears to be misshapen but may just be crudely designed. Screw-on tank cap moves freely as do height adjustment lever and wick adjustment. No wick. We present to you for your bidding consideration this 1870's Oil Student Lamp for Parts or Repair- Has Been Electrified- Original Green and White Cased Glass Shade. The Lamp Shaft stands 19 3/4" tall on a weighted base that is 6 1/8" diameter and is 2" tall. The Oil Reservoir stands 8" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter. The burner is un-marked and incomplete and stands 5 3/4" tall x 1 1/4" in diameter. The shade holder is 7" in diameter at the base and the shade stands 5 3/16" tall. The only mark found is what I believe to be the Shade Holder Patent(see photograph No. 3) The condition is"good" as the lamp has been modified to electric at some point. American Brass KLEEMAN 1870 Student Desk Oil Lamp/Milk Glass Shade-Converted
Up for consideration is this antique C.A. Kleeman& C.F.A. Hinrichs New York kerosene brass student desk lamp. This lamp has been electrified over the years and appears to have been done in a way that could easily be converted back to original without issue. However, I am not certain. It is in overall very good/strong antique condition and I believe will restore nicely. I believe that the milk glass shade is original however I cannot verify if correct or original. The shade does have some small rim nicks here and there from use where it sits on the shade ring. I do not have the chimney that would have also been with this lamp. I see no dents in the brass. The fuel tank appears original and without issue and has the pin on the bottom. This piece does move if you push the pin up and down, not sure if this is correct or if you pull the pin ... moredown to secure? Height adjustment knob turns( a little hard) but does work and lamp slides up an down. Shade ring or arm(not sure which) appears slightly tilted so I put a level on the ring to show you. I do not want to try to adjust or bend at all, I will leave that decision to the new owner. As you can see the brass needs to be cleaned, bottom of lamp is covered in green felt. This is old original nickel plated 7" size Manhattan student oil lamp. This lamp is all original. With the original nickel plating and is very shiny. It has the scarce green glass oil font. Original thin glass chimney has no chips or cracks. Original Opal glass shade with rolled over top edge and no chips or cracks. Original wick and wick chaser and shade holder. Edward Miller Double Student Lamp / Original Oil
Edward Miller Double Student Lamp This is a very rare double font student lamp made by the Edward Miller Lamp Co. The shades are cased green and made by the Emeralite Co. This lamp has not been altered and is still an original oil burning lamp. The student design features adjustable height with a rotating base. 9” shades 24” tall. There is some thinning of the brass plate on the round base. This was caused from years of cleaning, the brass finish was brushed at the factory and with periodic cleaning some of the patina has worn thin. The finish and look is exceptional for the period and is 100% original, I feel that these flaws need to be mentioned but in no way are not acceptable for the age of the lamp. Up for sale is a beautiful antique oil lamp that was converted to electricity. It has a very ornamental. Very decorative look to it, and also is a nice piece of functional art. It will make a wonderful show piece for any room. It is in working farm fresh condition, has some wear and tear, but is in over all fair condition. Could use a thorough cleaning, but all in all is in good shape. There are minor stress fractures, but the piece is very solid, and they appear to be cosmetic only, I believe due to age and also material and method of manufacture, these are very common on old pieces like this. The chimney and hobnail milk glass shade are not original, but pieces I had that fit it and looked nice together. Antique Student dual Oil Lamp, brass, electrified
Antique dual lamp single reservoir electrified student oil lamp. Brass. There is a switch on the cord and each lamp has a switch. One of the switches is stuck on. The other one works fine. The globes are made of two layers of glass. A clear amber glass on the outside and a white milk glass layer on the inside. One chimney is frosted, the other is clear. The height of the lamps is adjustable with a knob on the central support. The lamp came to my family through my great uncle who collected antiques. The wire is getting stiff. It was probably electrified no later than 1965.

ITEM DETAILS: VERY RARE! Victorian antique all original. Never been electrified, brass(nickel plated) student oil lamp with 7" bristol slant white shade, made by C.A. Kleemann C. F. A. Hinrichs New- York. The lamp can be adjusted up and down the rod by turning the screw knob on the side. The chimney holder is stamped with the following: Patented Mar 10. 1863 Reissued Dec 30. 1873 C. A. Kleemann C. F. A. Hinrichs New-York The lamp measures 20" tall. 11" wide, the base is 5" in diameter and weighs 4 1/2 lbs. The white lamp shade measures 7" in diameter at the base, 4" in diameter at the top and 5" tall. There is a very small chip on the top of the white lamp shade. Shallow chips on the base where it rests in the holder and on the top of the lamp shade flange there is a 1/8" faint marking. Antique Brass Double Student Oil Lamp Converted to Electric Needs Parts RARE BH?
BRASS DOUBLE STUDENT OIL LAMP CONVERTED TO ELECTRIC Total height is 18” Total width of arms is 17-1/2” Base diameter is 7-3/4” Total weight prior to packing is 6 lbs. 3.6 oz. This brass double student lamp is unmarked and research shows it could be a rare Bradley Hubbard. It does work but is missing parts and requires refurbishing. The fonts are beautifully embellished with cast wreaths and finials. All metal components are brass(magnetic) except for the center shaft pole(non-magnetic) The arm swings and the height is adjustable with a knob on the central shaft. Vintage Antique oil style electric student lamp with glass electrical insulator
This is a stunning antique brass and glass electric student table lamp. it is very ornate and has a wonderful design with a nice rich patina from age. it has two curved arms with ribbed thick vintage green electrical insulators which have nice lines. they are both held by the mounts wrapping the brass sockets. there are nice brass on/off turn switches located right on the sockets. it has a large circular heavy base which has an embossed trim wrapping the edge. it has a nicely detailed shaft and has a decorative oil font as one of the arms. the piece is in great shape and works perfectly. The insulators can be easily removed to change bulbs or to change up from time to time with standard flute and shade.

Gorgeous French Blue Opaline Student Oil Lamp
Available for purchase. We have a Gorgeous Blue Opaline Glass Student Oil Lamp. It measures 8-1/2" tall and the base bottom has a diameter of 4-1/4" The lamp is a beautiful blue. Slightly darker than some of the other blue Opaline I have seen. There is a mark on the side of the oil lamp. There is a circle right in the glass as shown in photos. I don't know if that was an imperfection or a makers mark? The bottom of the lamp has the open Pontil scar, typical of Opaline glass lamps I have seen. There are no cracks or chips. Antique Brass "Acorn" Student Oil Lamp Double Burners
Authentic antique double burner student oil lamp. Really good condition. Not drilled. Made of brass. Both burners have wicks in them. There are about a half dozen very small eraser-head-or-smaller dents on the lamp but most are hardly noticeable. Not sure who the maker is as there are no markings that I can see. I don't know much about lamps except that my husband collected them and was always particular about condition. Authenticity, etc. Please feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to answer them. Here are some measurements: Rings: 10" diameter. Base: 7" diameter. very large antique ornate brass wood glass electric oil style student table lamp
This is a very large high quality antique brass. Glass, and wood oil style electric student lamp. it is very large for this style lamp measuring 27 1/4 inches tall by 16 inches wide. It has a lovely carved and routed 6 sided wooden base which has a nice dark stain. it also has a large tapered six sided brass base on top which holds a hexagon brass shaft. it has two curved arms which hold the candelabra style sockets. they have lovely socket covers and hold yellow ribbed glass shades which have white linings. they arms are very ornate and have very detailed finishing pieces at the bottom. there is a large brass cylinder in the back which would have been for holding oil but is now decorative. the shaft in the center is finished with a large circular finial at the top. the lamp has acquired a lovely patina from age and is very heavy. in exquisite ... morecondition.
