This VERY heavy vintage Stiffel brass lamp is in absolutely Gorgeous original condition! fresh out of the elderly original owners Art Deco Estate sale in Boston. Ma.It has its original power cord that is in very nice condition. it has the original Leviton inline on/off roller type switch on the cord that is also in excellent condition. the Leviton bulb socket is labelled Stiffel. I think it is a 3way socket but i dont have a 3way bulb to test it.The underside of the base it is stamped 1218 and a label w 672.As far as the condition of the brass, all i can say is WOW! Vintage Brass & Marble Stiffel Mid Century Modern Eames Era 1960's Lamp W/ Shade
Hello. I m offering this Mid Century Modern Stiffel lamp. The piece stands 32 1/2" high and shade has a diameter of 20" marble base is 12" x 6 1'2" Great line with this very rare Stiffel lamp one of the hardest to find. With mounted lift off candy or nut dish. There is a stiffel label as per photo 6. Faded somewhat. The shade which is orginal has some old tape marks inside and some paper tears all pretty much on the inside, I have the photos shown all sides of shade. Very nice condition lamp. A bit smaller than your average Stiffel measuring about 22 1/2" tall to halo top. It uses a narrower shade so it fits well where most will stick out too far from the wall. Some oxidation on lowest base area. Nothing unsightly, just shows it's vintage age. Shade has logo on mount and is very good. Needs a cleaning but is very nice with just light wear, no damage. 2 Rare Vintage Mid Century Glass & Brass Stiffel? Torchiere Table Lamps
These two lamps came from an estate sale. My know-it-all sister believes they are Stiffel(This because she is a dealer at the Rose Bowl swap meet in So. California) However. They are NOT marked where I can see. I have not removed the bottom pad. They both work. The decorative work around the glass is in great shape. It has a rubber feel to it. Know-it all says they are hand-painted. They lamps measure 33.5' tall with the diffuser. But minus the finial. The base is 10" The shades are 15" at the top opening. 16" tall and 20" at the bottom opening. There is only one finial and one diffuser shattered on the dining room floor when my husband turned the lamp upside down to look for a marking. The shades would need to be recovered at some point. Lamp hgt is 25" w diffuser is 30" total hgt w shade 32" Stiffel' stamped on the metal of each shade near finial. Shade diameter is 14" Lamps are at least 60 years old. I have seen photos of them in the background of family photographs, and remember them as a child. Could be up to, but no more than 70 yrs old, but unable to get accurate confirmation. Lamps are in very good shape. One is more tarnished at the upper end compared to the other, see photos. No chips cracks or crazing. Upon close inspection, there is some spotting on the lowest ridge, see photo Diffusers are milk glass and in excellent shape. no cracks or chips Shades are silk and in excellent shape too. They have a very fine metallic ... moregild thread running vertically thru out. No rips or frays. I vaguely remember them being covered w plastic many many years ago and wonder if that's why they are still in good shape? Both work fine. Plugs intact, no frays or cracks in cords. Hi. You will receive 3 Matching Heavy Brass Lamp's with 3 Way Light fixture's NO SHADES. These are Stiffel Quality but have no brand mark on them. The Light socket's and cord's look to have been updated so the branding mark is gone. There is no felt on the bottom's of the lamp's, Some spots of tarnish, Over all beautiful Table Lamps, But not perfect. Please see pictures. They all have been tested and work as they should. This is a pair of Mid Century Stiffel table lamps; Very RARE and in good original condition. The lamps are very decorative. Some signs of age to the brass enamel. The brass work is in good shape and when set up with shades, these are stunning.unusual to find a set of two. The lamps have the original 2-prong wiring and are relatively heavy in traditional Stiffel style. They both work with a three-way bulb. THERE ARE NO SHADES AND THEY ARE SOLD AS IS. One of the lamps is missing the top embellishment with screw to hold on the lamp shade. Can easily be found or purchased on line or take from another lamp.
