They feature a brass color base with stars punched in them where the 3 way nightlight section shines through the stars! Black and white swirly parts show up in several areas of the lamps. There are also these cool spring looking accent in them. The lamps are in great condition. With some age appropriate wear like the brass areas have spots of oxidation. The off-white portion of each lamp is made of an opaque glass or marble material. The green'stick' portion is metal. I believe, with a green coating. There are some small chips as you can see in the photos. These can be turned to the back. The shades are in great condition for their age. They have a textured bumpy feel(seems like a heavy paper) with a gold flecked on coral ribbon piece along the top and bottom. The tone gives off a muted warm glow. MID CENTURY REGENCY ROOM DIVIDER SHELF 2 ADJUSTABLE ARM LAMP BLOWN GLASS SHADES
We are pleased to offer this gorgeous. Mid Century Modern room divider, shelf and lamp unit! This fabulous unit features gilded metal construction(brass? aluminum? with a glittered finish. The unit is tall and rectangular with a vertical row of geometric circles in the center that extends from the top of the frame to the bottom for contrast. The top of the frame has a slightly"pagoda" profile appearance as it is upturned on each end. There is a side shelf tray on each side with art glass insets. The glass is beautiful. It is root beer in color with striations of gold, and some blue/gray. The glass is slightly seeded. The divider features two hanging lamps with original brass diffusers and blown glass shades. The lamp arms are different heights for added interest. The shades are delicate and fine(not thick or heavy) They are smooth ... moreon their exterior with a swirled interior. The shades are clear glass with a very soft gold to the swirled pattern. The glass does have a very large pontil mark on one shade and a smaller pontil mark on the other. The lamps have adjustment screws on each arm so the shades will lock in place at different angles. The shades are held in place with the large brass diffusers. The lamp has an on/off switch on the bottom of the room divider frame. The lamp operates with regular 60 watt bulbs(one per each arm) The bottom of the frame is raised with legs on each side. There are no manufacturer's marks or stickers but the lamp is quite nicely constructed and was a"higher end" lamp in its day(c1960s) It is in very good condition with only minor signs of age. There is some slight wear to the finish but only in a couple of areas and nothing distracting. The wiring is original but the lamp is working perfectly. The glass shelves are very good. The glass shades are also good with only minor and expected wear at the fitter areas. Overall condition is very. Very nice. The unit is large and measures 76" tall. From a very prominent Hampton N.Y. estate sale we bring you this wonderful reverse painted pink glass shade. Sorry for the glare in the photos the glass with the exception of the painted art is pink. This is one of two that was in the hallway ceiling of an older large home. Would work on a lamp also. Find no damage has patina from being old and will need soap and water. Approx 5 1/4" tall top opening diameter approx 2 1/8" outside rim. Bottom opening inside 6 1/4" diameter. These are old you can tell the older glass making minor uneven spots from manufacture are present. The shade may be older than I am calling it late 19th early 20th century. Pair Mid Century Modern Extremely Nice Wood Abacus Lamps With Shades
This is a very nice pair of wooden abacus lamps with very nice shades. Not sure the exact year these were manufactured but my best guess from some of the hardware would be in the'60's. I have seen other examples of these most of which were manufactured from the 1950's to late 1960's. These lames are in excellent condition. I purchased these as part of a huge estate and the family said they remembered them from at least 1970. Wood is in great shape and there are some nice brass accents around the abacus itself. The abacus is actually standing in a frame to keep it standing and is connect to the center pole by a small brass piece screwed into the back of the abacus. There is no sign of any maker marks on these lamps either. That is another sign that helps me estimate the time frame they were made. I was actually thinking they ... morehave have been made by hand by a craftsman rather than produced by a company but I can not confirm that. It looks to me as though the electrical sockets may have been replaced. The cords are modern and the sockets look new. This is done to a lot of vintage lamps to actually make them safer. It does not detract from the look of the lamp. I think you can see what I mean fro the photos. The shades are in great shape. All the fabric is clean there is no damage. I can not find anything wrong with the lamps at all. The are a great unique look that you just don't find anymore. Lamps are 30 1/2 inches tall. The base of the lamp measures 9 1/2 inches by 5 3/4 inches. The shades measure 18 inches long by 13 1/2 inches wide. The abacus itself measures 14 3/4 inches long by 7 1/4 inches wide. Vintage Pair of Mid Century Carved Elephant Lamps Great Fringed Shades!
Here is an incredible pair of carved elephant wooden lamps with shades. Each lamp has three elephant heads/trunks carved into the base of the lamp. With additional carvings on the lamp base itself and the lamp posts. The shades that were chosen for these lamps are absolutely perfect- they have a great pattern and the color scheme is wonderful. There are some condition issues with the lamps but nothing hugely significant. Both of the lamps are working, however, one of the switches on one lamp does not work. There are tusks missing on the elephants, not all of them, but most of them- they could be repaired/replaced. The lamp shades have been'pushed in' at some point- and show the creases where they have been'popped' back out. The one picture I have shown is probably the worst. Although there are creases, I do not see any holes ... moreor cracks in the shade. They have maintained their shape, and while the creases can be seen on the inside of the shades, they are not at all noticeable on the outside of the shades. One of the shades also has a small crack in the rim(picture shown) although once again this is not visible on the outside of the shade. The finial that holds the lamp shade in place is missing on one lamp. The lamp bases are very dusty and need to be cleaned. The plugs for these lamps are non polarized. RARE F.A.I.P. Mid century modern table lamps original fiberglass shades
You are looking at a nice pair of mid century modern lamps made by the F.A.I.P. company. I believe the shades are original to the lamps. There are no cracks or chips. There was a little spot that was missing some paint on the cheek of one of the lamps. I had some wax that was the right color that I filled where the paint was missing(hard to tell. I did get a close up picture of this area. One of the shades has a small wrinkle at the top that I got a good close up picture of also. Here we have a pair of vintage holophane lamp shade. It features a very unusual semi-closed design on the bottom which can be seen in the photographs. Was made circa 1930's and remains in excellent condition. The only condition issue is a small blemish on the fitter rim which will not affect the appearance of the shades.
