Antique Art Deco Figural Elephant Cast Iron Lamp Base. Measures 9 1/8" tall to the top of the bulb holder X 8" tall to the top of the metal bulb holder. Marked on the bottom: P A. for Plume& Atwood in Thomaston Connecticut who started in business in 1871. Heavy cast base with a bronze or brass finish. Trunk up Elephant in a walking step with one foot raised. The base resembles a rock or stone ground with tinges of Red. The Elephant holds a round beaded disk in his trunk that attaches to the flame or lotus like open top. This holds an old paper covered lamp socket with faux candle drip and a Bakelite knob. The original wall plug. Which is included, but has been removed(for safety sake) is a very old rubber plug. The copper shank is included which when recorded will hold the bulb socket. This is in Nice Clean Condition with No ... morechips, cracks or breaks. The finish is also in Nice Condition with minimal appropriate wear from age. Today for your consideration we have Antique Pedestal Oil/kerosene Lamp Embossed Glass With Painted Girl On Metal Base. This is a fabulous piece. The Turn on the wick says"P&A Co Pat. 1.16 88 and 8.8 97" Measures 13" tall. Base Measures 4 and 3/4" square. Around the widest point of the embossed glass that holds the oil/kerosene is 19" A Beautiful Girl adorns the stem. There is some paint loss due to age.it is over 100 years old. Wick in tack and turns up and down nicely. Base is metal and the Girl is painted on glass. An incredible find. Just needs the hurricane glass to finish off and those are relatively easy to come by. When I bought it at Auction there was kerosene in it and I have soaked it but it still has the scent of kerosene as it soaked the wick. This is a pair of 19th century Atwood&Plume Chinese Export Style lamps of brass toned metal on a soapstone base and pot metal with glass oil receptacles. They were electrified around the turn of the century. They have beautifully engraved details. Each lamp is either a male or female caryatid figure above which is a fringed platform. And a pressed glass chamber for the oil. The wick chamber is above the reservoir and has and adjustable button knob marked with the P& A stamp Dimensions 24"h x 4" d. They were originally appraised close to $1600. but since 1 had to be repaired the loss estimate was $50. I am selling these for& 799. which includes free shipping which is almost $200. An antique. Circa 1880's, Plume& Atwood petite brass double student lamp. It has been electrified, and is in working order. It has a new cord and plug, switch on the flange base. The two screws for adjusting the height of the arms on the rod are now stationary. There are two reproduction modern milk glass shades with hand painting. The lamp measures 21-1/2" tall by 18" wide at shade rings by 6-1/4" bottom diameter. Shades are 4-1/4" tall by 6-1/2" wide, with 5-3/4" fitter rim diameter. Very good condition: original lacquer protective finish to brass with some minor peel causing tarnish. Minor tiny dent on flange base near switch, minor dent to one font. One shade with chip to top rim.

These chips are small and hidden, no cracks or other chips to glass lamp or other damage-is in beautiful and original period condition. An 1870s-1880s Plume& Atwood glass oil lamp which is signed on the thumb-wheel of the burner(see close-up pics included) There is some old residual dried oil/material left interior on bottom-I have left it in'as found' condition, buyer could remove/clean if desired(see pics provided) The Plume& Atwood Company was established in Waterbury. Antique Plume Atwood Amber Glass Diamond OPtic converted Oil table Lamp Light
This is an antique amber glass oil lamp that has been converted to electric; it will no longer hold oil. As the bottom of the base has been drilled It has a diamond optic glass base and a matching diamond optic ruffled shade. It is marked"PA" on the base. The converted burner is marked, Eagle. This lamp is 14 1/4" tall. The base is 9 3/4" tall to the top of the socket. The shade is 5 7/8" tall. 9" wide across the top. and 4" wide across the bottom. This lamp is in excellent condition. The glass on the base is free of chops or cracks. The the of the shade is also free of chips or cracks There is a small. 1/4" chip along the inside collar of the shade as well as a couple small fleabites. There is a small rough strawmark spot in the inside of the shade, which occured during its creation. The metal on the ... morebase has a patina of age upon it with some heavier oxidization on the burner collar.

Appears to have been professionally polished and lacquered. Lamp has been electrified. Switch on base, and is in working condition; as shown. Entire lamp base is covered with molded cast blown out rose floral decoration. Condition: Lamp is in very nice working condition. With a small break where the mold mark is, one flower below is affected; as shown. No other breaks or cracks. Bottom of base has some spots of tarnish or finish loss. I have not attemped to it.
