The raised white paint in some areas has a nice warm, highlighted effect. There are no chips, or cracks in the lamp, there is one little flea bite on the top rim, you have to look for the bite. Exquisite! This is an extremely nice and rare pair of antique lamps. This beautiful pair features fine porcelain with green glaze paint. And exceptionally hand painted in a floral and leaf pattern. The hand painting is expertly accomplished with beautiful and purposeful brush strokes. The floral design is hand outlined in a gold gilt/gild paint. The porcelain section of each lamp is"footed" in gold and rests upon a circular brass base. The porcelain sections also have a long neck which are also highlighted with gold gilt. There are no manufacturers marks, but the lamps are each signed"La Touche" which is French for"touched" with the meaning of"something that moves you" These lamps certainly will move you as they are spectacular! The pair are in excellent. Antique condition. There are no chips or cracks ... moreto the porcelain. There is no crazing to the finish. The brass bases have an aged patina. The pair retain the original harps and the very heavy and ornate finials. PLEASE NOTE that there are no shades with the pair. Vtg Signed French Sevres Porcelain Hand Painted Floral~22"~Lamp heavy gold accents Offering this absolutely stunning old French Hand Painted porcelain Floral 22" tall electric Lamp with frosted glass shade and round etched glass"bulb" shade loaded with gold ormalu trim and very ornate base. I have researched the mark and I do believe it is from Sevres or Vincennes. See photos of the bottom of lamp to see the deep cobalt blue mark plus the words"modele et de'coration exclive a'la main" Which is difficult to see clearly because of the base of the lamp support. Two of those supports are embossed"B7" and"B15" which shows in the photos. Base also has a blue decal that reads"Underwriters Laboratories. Inc. Listed Portable Lamp issue no. 89,632" Please take time to view the photos ... moreto appreciate the highly detail decoration on this beautiful lamp which I would call in excellent condition. The floral design is perfect, it was fired on and then I believe glazed so it has maintained its quality. The gold is very strong on both the metal fret work at the top, the embossed gold floral vines and blossoms on the ring that the round shade rests upon is very nice, all the gold trim on the lamp base is perfect, and the scroll base remains rich with gold. I believe the lamp was made in the 1930-40 Era because of the cord with a on/off switch. One side reads"und. lab inc. list" other side reads"Levitron 6A 125 v. 3A.250 v. 3A.125 VT and works. Cord is in very good condition. Is not dry nor cracking. The bulb housing however is made for a thin base or candelabra base bulb and that area or the pit the bulb base come out of is the only part of the lamp that is discolored with dark marks and looks like there is some wear from the round shade which is held in place by a tongue dispenser like thin metal on each side that must be pinched together to get the shade in place and the reverse to remove the glass shade so the shade sets very secure on the lamp. We are pleased to offer this wonderful pair of antique. Hand painted transferware lamps. These lamps date to the 1930s. They are a matched pair with the same scene on each lamp. The lamps are footed urn shaped. They feature ornate, pierced brass bases in lovely curved design. The lamps are a wonderful rose color on the tops and bottom sections. These sections have a raised scrolled pattern in the ceramic. This pattern is gold gilt in finish with other gilted highlights throughout. The rose color fades to an antique white to cream in their mid sections. The mid sections are hand painted in an old London street scene. The scene includes a depiction of 18th century travelers traveling to London in horse and carriage. They are arriving at their destination which is the old London"Swan" pub and hotel. Up for auction is a pair of antique. Hand-painted, opal glass lamps, signed Peerl, that I recently purchased from an estate. The opal glass and painted images are in excellent condition. They stand approximately 23 inches from the base to the top of the bulb socket, and 31 inches from the base to the top of the harp. The base is approximately 7 inches across and the collar 2-1/2 inches across. I don't know their actual age or if either of the finials are original to the lamps. I also don't know the age of the wiring, but both lamps work(bulbs not included) As shown in the photos the metal base and metal rings/collars are tarnished with some pitting. They are in need of a good cleaning, which I will leave to the buyer. The colors and quality of the vines and flowers on the opal glass are lovely. I have up for sale a gorgeous vintage/ Antique circa 1920s signed shade& base MOE BRIDGES Reverse Painted Boudoir Lamp. The shade is awesome- having vibrant coloration- with butterflies flying amongst flowers and foliage. There are 3 different butterflies positioned in areas around the shade. The shade is correctly signed on the lower rim. I have this shown in pic#10. There is also a number- looks like HH 1134 but its very difficult to decipher. The base is also correctly signed and is the original base to this lamp. The sale is obviously for both the shade and base. Hope I didn't confuse anyone with the separate pic of the shade in my first pic. Although probably not noticeable in the pics. The shade is textured and the colors are bold.T he lamp is much nicer when seen in person- for some reason I could just not get a good representation ... moreof the color and definition of the shades floral pattern. In my opinion it is one of the nicer boudoir shades that Moe Bridges made- my pics do not do it justice. There is a hairline in the shade that is unnoticeable unless you are looking really hard and look sideways towards the lamp when lit. The hairline runs up a crease in the glass and follows perfectly to the top. The hairline does not run across the top of the shade which is very good. Picture#6 shows the hairline. As you can see. This Pairpoint Puffy lamp has puffy flowers and butterflies surrounding the sides of the shade against a white background with green vining buds and leaves. This shade is called the Florence shade because of the bump out at the top. The exterior of the shade is accented with gilded outlines. Shade is signed on the interior near the lip"The Pairpoint Corp'n" as well as a patent date of July 9, 1921. Base has minor wear and discoloration to finish as well, the base is also marked. The base measures 8.5" wide and 4.5" tall. The height of the base and shade together is approximately 14" tall. There is an internal crack at the very top of the shade, see photo#5 ... morewhich runs approximately 2/3 of the way around the bump out. Buyer pays shipping. The signature appears to be L. DILOY(see photo 6) Some slight wear on gold trim. However overall condition is very good. I assume this is a Limoges piece. The only mark is impressed numbers between base and main lamp body. It has been recently rewired. 3-way switch at top. On/Off push button switch has been installed on base.
