Beautiful antique/vintage pair of wrought iron. Painted gold candlestick lamps with polychrome pink painted flowers. They stand 12-5/8" high and the base measures approx. 4" square. As far as I can tell, everything is original. The finish, paper"candle" covers, wiring and sockets. Note to self that these will need to be professionally re-wired! Offered for auction. A beautiful double sided estate bought vintage boudoir lamp. The lamp is a heavy nonmagnetic metal. The metal is beautifully painted with soft cream and green. The center has a great porcelain period female figure. The details in this lamp are really nice. The lamp works with a switch on the base. The bulbs are covered with lace trimmed shades that are threaded and screw onto the bulb holders. These bulb holders have a ball on the top that allow the angle of the shade to be adjusted. This very nice quality lamp has exceptionally graceful proportions and is made of cast white metal and cast iron with older distressed bronze painted finish. It dates from the 1920s-30s and measures 65” tall x 10” across the trifid platform base mounted with cast metal flames and boasts a font form top with deeply molded. Cast classical foliate details topped by three candle sockets. There are no obvious losses in the details and the base has especially nice weight to offer adequate support to the lamp’s tall, slender lines. I see no maker’s name. It has an open area( on top of the font inside the three candles and there are numerous scratches in the paint as well as paint spatters. Here is a bronzed metal HANDEL LAMP BASE in the form of a Japanese baluster vase molded with birds and blossoms in low relief. The foot molded to simulate a Chinese carved and pierced hardwood stand. It is in superb condition. This beauty stands 22.5" high x 7.25" wide at the foot(57.15cm x 18.41cm) This is an authentic, museum quality lamp base for the advanced collector. It has been completely rewired for safety, ready to go for another century of service. All three sockets, heat cap, cluster ball riser, and finial have the original amazing deep chocolate brown patina with green verdigris highlights. The acorn pull chains are replacements. But look great with the lamp. The sockets are original and antique with their original copper interiors. Each socket works perfectly, with strong clicks and easy pulls. They look to have original sockets with old cloth cover wiring however the they look to have new cloth covered electrical cords and plugs. There are some cosmetic flaws and blemishes on the metal, but, the lamp does turn on and work. Signed 1957 on the bottom. The pole holding the bulb is a bit wobbly and needs to be better secured. Still, this is such a lovely lamp! Overall height is 32" in total height. The women and base are 18 1/2" tall. The base is also 10" long x 7" wide. Extremely heavy lamp! I can hardly lift this thing.
