this is a very rare antique copper and brass converted oil lamp. it has exquisite ornate victorian design. With very intense detailing. it has highly embossed copper designs that run around the base of the lamp. it has beautiful trim. Base and feet. the upper oil container is a large insert. That sits recessed in the base. it was converted to be electric and works great. it can be converted back if desired, it has an on/ off switch on the base. it is in great shape and has a nice patina from age. it measures 12 3/4 x 11 inches. very rare lamp. Antique Victorian kerosene oil lamp chandelier light fixture cranberry red shade
Spectacular late 19th century pulley kerosene/oil chandelier. Stunning red glass with slight swirl. This light has been electrified and in that process an additional Victorian era lamp canopy was added so this is READY TO INSTALL TO A JUNCTION BOX! The light was also repainted in a period appropriate rich gilt. The pulley action was not altered and it still works(though the wiring will bunch up if you pull on it) No damage to the shade. The cranberry red glass ball shade is 9" wide.

Antique Vintage Hanging Oil Lamp Connverted Top and Bottom Light Up Brass Glass
Nice old oil lamp that was converted to electric. The top and/or bottom light up. There is a small chip to the top rim of the glass shade and very minor spots of wear to the brass. There are 18 glass prisms. It measures 10 inches wide and 20 inches high. It is set up to be wired directly to the ceiling and it hangs down 12 inches from the ceiling however you could add two chains if you wanted it to hang lower. I just hung it from a bungee cord to take pictures.

It is mounted on a very ornate brass stand and dates from around the late 19th century(Napoleon III period) The'Kosmos' burner was produced by Wild& Wessel. A German manufacturer, between 1865 and 1899. The reservoir hasn't been tested and if you are likely to use this as an oil lamp, I strongly advise you to check that it doesn't leak before lighting it. The actual screw mechanism works well and is running freely; it is not showing any signs of blockage. It does not have its glass funnel although these are fairly easy to come by. There is a tiny bit of rust underneath the brass stand(see photos) ... moreThe pattern has been transfer printed onto the ceramic body and has then been hand coloured and then glazed. There is the same design on both sides of the lamp depicting cherubs/angels/putti/amours with a woodland floral theme. There is some staining on one side of the faience commensurate with its age and use and one tiny firing fault(see photos) As shown in one picture. 1893 Rochester Mammoth Oil Kerosene Brass Hanging Lamp w Iron Hanger Description: Lamp metal font section embossed brass. Hanger bracket appears to be a combination of cast and wrought iron. A similar lamp was advertised as a Number 10 in the 1893 catalog issued by the Rochester Lamp Company. New York. Good condition overall but there is a dent in the one side of the fuel tank. Dent is mostly hidden when inserted into the hanger. More details below. All glass pieces are in fine condition with no damage. Frosted chimney measures 12 inches tall overall with a 4 inch diameter mounting area. Upper and bottom rims are both cut but the upper is way thicker than the bottom edge. 7 inch tall milk glass shade measures 11-3/4 inches in diameter at the bottom rim and 4.5 inches in diameter at the top. Both ends of the shade are rough cut. Similar shades ... moreand lamps were also marketed by the Royal Lamp Company. New York. The hanger is included but it's slightly different than the one illustrated in the 1893 catalog. It has some rust and flaking paint. The brass font parts are in nice original condition. There is a dent which likely needs repair prior to holding fuel. IT seems complete other than there is no wick or smoke bell. Tank section measures 8.5 inches in diameter and 11 inches from the bottom up to the fitter ring. Fitter ring has a silver colored screw that works but is may not be original. Overall measurements of the harp section with lamp font inserted is 35.5 inches. That does not include the 44 inches of chain. Has not been restored. Polished, or converted to electricity. Antique Parlor Oil Kerosene Lamp Converted Electric Light Aladdin HobNail Green
The following auction is for a vintage oil/kerosene lamp that was converted to an electrical light with a switch. It is used.And original. I dont know if this is called a Fenton/Aladdin or not. I dont see any markings on the lamp anywhere,so dont think I am trying to trick you. I dont know if thats a style or a name,sorry this is the first one we have sold The light has some issues.But it does power on. The switch is for a 3 stage bright/brighter/brightest/Off Light. THE LIGHTBULB IS NOT INCLUDED. So you may have to turn the switch a few cranks,before it comes on,unless you have that kind of bulb. The glass is in decent shape with no cracks or repairs in it. There is a small chip on the edge of the lampshade. I forgot to take a pic. Its not real big,and I didnt really notice until just now when I was listing it. I felt it being a little rougher ... morethere. Its a darker green color. I think you call it hobnail or hobknob. The glass does have texture to it. The cord is in alright shape. Not all that great. I wasnt scared to plug it in or anything.But its old and wouldnt really be hard to replace,at least for the piece of mind. The light does work,the switch is a little hard to turn,but it does work. I didnt get shocked or anything like that when I was testing it. There is alot of rust/pitting on the ring that holds the shade.As well as the whole switch assembly. The spot where the oil lamp went is really pitty and rusty. The switch does work for the light,but it feels a little hard to turn. The light sits crooked. I think it has to do with the electrical outlet. When you look down on it,you can see the light is crooked. The whole ring and the entire switch mechanism is dirty and pitted/rusted up. The base appears to have been cleaned up. Its a lot shinier than the rest.It still has some pitting and tarnish spots on it.The underneath side looks terribly discolored and spotty. There is a small chipped off piece on the base. I took a pic. Not really noticeable.But its there The light stands(with shade on) about 16 inches

A 1 3/4" tall little lamp base that was used a century ago as a night light. It is an antique oil lamp. The 1800's version of our little plug in night lights. This is the base ONLY, it has no burner or other parts, just the glass base itself, and it is very old, an early hand B lown I nto M old lamp( BIM) Dating well over 100 years old. Glass lamp is embossed: L. H. OLMSTED/ NEW YORK- LITTLE HARRY'S/ NIGHT LAMP" Base too is embossed. It is somewhat weak and smudged but from what it looks like and with what research we did, it looks like it is a" MAR 20'77" date. Condition: Lamp is in nice clean condition. But it has a broad flat chip off of 1/3 of the base though it still stands upright just fine. Age: An early hand-blown lamp(Blown-In-Mold = BIM) Ca. late 1800's. VINTAGE RED RUBY PULLDOWN HANGING CEILING OIL LAMP LIGHT
Vintage Red Ruby Ceiling Pulldown Light Lamp with Flute Found this really nice Vintage Ruby Red Pulldown Ceiling Light at estate. It is in nice shape overall. The glass is red. The metal looks to be a mixed metal with brass plating. The glass globe on the bottom is in excellent condition. No chips, no scratches off the red. The shade on top is in fair to good condition. The top rim of the shade has a 1" chip and another 1/2" chip in another spot. There is also some small specs where you can see the clear glass through the red- not noticeable unless your right on the shade. The bottom portion of the shade is smooth, the top has the flaws I mentioned above and is rougher from the cut when made. The metal brass plated ring is in good condition. It does have wear from age, but no damage. Electrically sound, with the cord and roll type ... moreswitch in good shape. There is no makers mark. The only mark on the light base is FPC 1350. If you are interested in two of these. I have another one listed, I could try and combine shipping if you want, or separately, whatever is less expensive to ship safely. The measurement are as follows: Height of Lamp with flute is 20 1/2" Without the flute is 17 1/2" The shade is 14" tall. 5" top opening, and 10" bottom opening where it fits into the metal ring. The flute is 10 1/4" tall The metal brass plated ring is 10 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall. There is an approximate 15" drop off the chain from the ceiling to the lamp. Then there is another 100 feet of chain and cord. Overall. As you can see, it is a very nice lamp. It still can be cleaned up with the brass plating, you can also put another bulb in for a dimmer lighting. I have a bright white light in there. The shades are in good condition with no chips or cracks but when I turn the light on I see tiny pin holes in places where it looks like color is gone. These are so tiny that they can be repaired easily with tiny dots of paint. You do not see these when the lights are off. This Floor Lamp is the perfect size next to the sofa as it is not so tall that you cannot use it to read or see things. Size is 58 inches tall and 17 inches wide. This is a very sweet original antique/ vintage vaseline/ opalescent blown glass lamp or light shade from the early 1900's. It measures 4 1/2 inches in height and 3 3/4 inches in diameter at the bottom opening. The top opening measures 2 inches in diameter. The top lip has a couple of small chips but this will be hidden when placed into a lamp fixture. Other than that. It is in great condition. I dont know to much of the history of the item. From the looks of the top and glass it looks pretty old. But the bottom kind of throws me off. The top does screw off nicely and the wick spinner works fine. Just to find a shade or use it as is. Either way a nice piece. Any?s please ask.

Matching pair. both are in excellent condition, although missing some tear drop prisms. each measures approx 13 5/8" tall at their tallest point. at the top the outside is 6" round- that is to the outside- the inside where the font would sit is approx 4 3/4" round. the base is 6 3/4" round. each of the tear drop prisms is slightly over 6" long- not counting the wire that holds them on there are hoels for 8 tear drop prisms on each, one has 7 on it, the other one has 6, so you will have to find matching ones. both are in serious need of cleaning. tear drop prisms will be taken off to ship and wrapped seperately. i will ship these priority mail only with insurance. the one picture shows you what it would look like with an oil lamp in it- although ... moreit is not a proper fit and is just a plain looking one- the oil lamp is not included in this auction. absolutely stunning matched pair with no damage other than the missing prisms. each one weighs 4 pounds. will be wrapped heavily with bubble wrap. The shade is 11 3/4 inches in diameter at the bottom with a repair on side. The tank is 8 inches in diameter. Nickel plated. A couple of very small dings in the base. Almost un-noticeable. FINE ANTIQUE BRASS OIL LAMP WICK TRIMMING SCISSORS& TRAY 1850 candlestick light This is a beautiful pair of ANTIQUE BRASS WICK SCISSORS for trimming the wicks on OIL LAMPS. They are complete with their TRAY In my estimation they date from around the mid 19th Century. Circa 1850, but please make up your own mind about this. The wick scissors measure approx 6 3/4 inches(170mm) long. By 2 1/4 inches(55mm) wide. The tray is approx 10 inches(250mm) by 4 inches(100mm) The scissors are spring loaded. And still cut as they should(the box above the blade catches and contains the sooty wick trimmings. They are in good original condition with light wear. Consistent with their great age, but no damage or repairs. These are a fine example of their type and they would make a great decorative piece and be a lovely addition to any collection.
