I did not polish the leave and left"as is" This wonderful lamps has a round base made of Walnut or Mohagony wood that measures about 7" acoss and a little over 2" tall(made of two pieces of wood) There is an array of enamel geometric designs/patterns in blues. Greens, whites, burnt-red, etc. all outlined in black. The chimney is made of metal and has a turn on-off switch and holds the shade. The lamp shade is thin with a pressed pattern in the glass of square designs that graduates from small to large squares. The lamp including the ... moreshade measures approximately 21" tall. The inside insulated sleeve for the bulb is white porcelain/ceramic. The lamp uses a bulb with a larger base than the standard electrical bulb that is used today. It has a secure electrical cord and plug, the on-off switch easily turns. I am 99% sure that the lamp works but I can't say with 100% since I don't have a bulb that fits the socket. Overall, this lamp is in good condition with no dents, cracks, chips, stains, etc. It shows some light tarnishing and the inside the top metal piece it appears to have very light surface rust on the inside of the metal. 1920's Antique Art Deco Brass and Genuine Milk Glass Dome Lamp Shade Hand Painted Ceiling Lamp Light Shade This listing is for a very nice antique art deco shade. It dates from the 1920's. Along with the shade I am also including the brass ring. This is a very large light shade. The diameter of the large dome shade is 17" and it hangs an amazing 7 1/2" high. This is a very heavy shade as well. Suitable to be the center piece in a nice large room. Ring could make it possible to hang from the ceiling or attach to a hanging fixture. This is an absolutely stunning hand painted colonial style genuine milk glass shade. The outside of the shade has a satin finish. The large glass lamp shade does have 2 chips. One is along the edge which would not be visible behind the brass ring. The other is on a white part of the shade itself, ... moreso it would be almost impossible to see it from the floor looking at it. There are no cracks aside from the normal wear found on the fitter edge. The shade looks amazing when lit and it was hard to show in the pictures. The lamp is painted a light pink/purple hazey color, which is most likely original. I cannot say for sure if the flowers were added later. Overall condition of the shade is good for its age. For pattern, reference Thuro's book 2"Oil Lamps II" pub. 1983/90, p 101 fig g for a flat hand lamp, and p. 104 fig g for a stand lamp. Not sure who made this lamp. Have seen it in clear, and the minature versions with nbr. 1 burners or smaller burners. This is the only milk glass one I've seen, so I know it is hard to find. The lamp is about 9.125" to the collar, and 19.5" with the chimney and burner. I added the petticoat shade later based on a comment from my wife. The petticoat shade is about 2.56" tall and 8.75" wide. All of the glass is in excellent condition. When I purchased it many years ago, the collar was loose, so I re-plastered it later. Up for bid is a stunning vintage lamp with white milk glass shade. And illuminating base. The bottom is an ornate brass foot. There are blue flowers painted on both the shade and the base. They have begin to peal off a little bit, see photos. The shade measures 7 inches at it's base. Is about 10 inches wide at it's widest, and 8 inches high. There is also a spot to put a clear hurricane shade too(not included) The lamp with the shade on it measures about 18 1/2 inches tall. With the base without the shade being about 11 inches. VTG 50s 60s Brass Lamp with White Milk Glass Shade ~ 22" Tall
BRASS LAMP WITH MILK GLASS SHADE This is a great vintage brass lamp I believe from the 1950's. As you can see from the pictures there is some corrosion at the base of the lamp. It is in great working condition and still has the orginal plug. The milk glass shade is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. For auction is a great vintage. Mid century or older brass and quilted milk glass shade hanging swag lamp. Light is in good used working condition. Entire fixture is 22+inches from ceiling to bottom of fixture. It has a lovely quilted pattern milk glass shade that has a 7 inch opening at the bottom. No chips or cracks in shade. there are 2 tiny areas of discoloration where the metal has been in contact with the shade all its life. very nice swag fixture. American Brass KLEEMAN 1870 Student Desk Oil Lamp/Milk Glass Shade-Converted
Up for consideration is this antique C.A. Kleeman& C.F.A. Hinrichs New York kerosene brass student desk lamp. This lamp has been electrified over the years and appears to have been done in a way that could easily be converted back to original without issue. However, I am not certain. It is in overall very good/strong antique condition and I believe will restore nicely. I believe that the milk glass shade is original however I cannot verify if correct or original. The shade does have some small rim nicks here and there from use where it sits on the shade ring. I do not have the chimney that would have also been with this lamp. I see no dents in the brass. The fuel tank appears original and without issue and has the pin on the bottom. This piece does move if you push the pin up and down, not sure if this is correct or if you pull the pin ... moredown to secure? Height adjustment knob turns( a little hard) but does work and lamp slides up an down. Shade ring or arm(not sure which) appears slightly tilted so I put a level on the ring to show you. I do not want to try to adjust or bend at all, I will leave that decision to the new owner. As you can see the brass needs to be cleaned, bottom of lamp is covered in green felt. This large milk glass hobnail lamp shade fits a large standing or hanging lamp. It is in very good condition- no cracks. Crazing or stains. There is one small 2 mm chip to one ruffle(scalloped edge) and 3 tiny dots on the white glass- please see the photos as they form part of the description. Here is an unusual Antique Milk Glass Lamp Shade or Vase cast with Repousse rose buds. It is about 6" by 6" with about 1 1/2" diameter opening for bulb and glass base of just under 2 3/4" for fit. The cast milk glass has a slight greenish tint. The original intent for this item was a vase and was manufactured as such I understand. But it makes such a nice lamp shade! The top is flat so can use for wall or drop fixture. There are two small nicks that have been repaired. Otherwise no damage. Antique c.1880's P& A Mfg. Co. Colonial Brass Oil Lamp with Milk glass shade and newly added clear glass chimney is in very good condition for its age with heavy patina and minor scratches on the brass base and some staining of the circumference of the lower solder joint where the base attaches to the reservoir. The Milk Glass shade has no seam and is rough ground and uneven on the top edge with minor scuffing along the bottom two inches of the shades diameter. The chimney is clear glass and newly added. The base stands at 11-1/2" inches tall with a 6-1/2" inch diameter base and a cast iron ring with four feet at the bottom underside. The shade stands at 6" inches tall with a 10" diameter bottom base. Total lamp height is 18" inches with a nice hourglass shape. The wick is round and moves freely as does the ... morereservoir oil fill cap. I have not filled the oil reservoir. For safe shipping purposes, nor have I tested this lamp. The oil reservoir shows no signs of any leakage, holes or deterioration and appears to be in very good aesthetic and functional condition. But as with any item of this age and fueled with combustible liquids. Proceed with caution if attempting to ignite this lamp in an outdoor location with the proper safety precautions in place! This is an unusual piece. A scent or perfume diffuser in the shape of a lamp. Very good condition. Very pretty. 6 inches tall, 5" wide. The base is iridescent milk glass with a frosted glass shade. The shade is decorated at intervals with painted flowers. From metal strips on the shade. Hang clear pendant charms. At the top is a gold tone cap open areas to release the fragrance. This cap unscrews from the base to reveal the wick. The diffuser can be filled with fragrance or aromatic oil of your choice. I bought this from an antique fair in the UK. Some time ago now, 20 years or so. I do not have any other information about it. It is not lighted. Just serves as a diffuser. There are no makers marks to guide us further. Superb Victorian Milk Glass and Brass hanging oil lamp electrified. In very nice condition with normal wear consistent with age. Antique Miller's Vestal Hanging Parlor Lamp Original Finish Milk Glass Shade
Wonderful original condition oil lamp! This is a"Miller's Vestal" Marked in several different places. It comes with a 14 inch diameter milk glass shade, oil font, pulley system, and smoke bell. It has intricate design work throughout. There are no cracks or chips in the shade, no major dings in the metal work. There are some rubs on the oil font, please see photos. There is no chimney(easy to replace) missing two screws that hold the font to the lamp bracket(easy to replace) and not sure what it missing, but the font needs some kind of bolt or other to secure it in place to the lamp bracket. This is a gorgeous original antique art nouveau/ art deco table lamp from the 1920's. It is made of silver metal with beautiful designs in the metal. It has 3 lower light fixtures and one main light. The main light has its original milk glass shade. The lower fixtures just use regular light bulbs and do not have shades. I don't think they would have originally had shades either. The lamp was made this way. It measures 3 feet tall so it can be used as a tall table lamp or a shorter floor lamp. It also measures 11 1/2 inches in diameter at the base. The milk glass shade measures 9 3/4 inches in diameter. The lamp is in very good working condition and the shade is in great condition as well.
