Vintage Flowered Milk Glass Electric Hurricane Table Lamp
Vintage Flowered Milk Glass Electric Hurricane Table Lamp This lamp measures approx. 18-1/2" tall to the top of the shade. The chimney sticks out from the top of the shade about 1 inch. The shade is about 10" wide at it's widest point As you should see. The glass is yellow toned on the milk glass and has yellow& blue flowers with some green leaves The lamp uses a standard sized bulb but i'm not exactly sure of the wattage max.probably 60 would be safe and a small night light bulb in the bottom There is some minor patina to a small part of the brass toned metal that connects to the lower portion of the lamp and the shade has been cracked and repaired(to the side of the flowered area) The break was about the size of a large egg and fixed with some strong epoxy glue.still a small chip on the bottom edge of the shade but ... morewhen in place. You never see it. The break is not really visable unless looking very closely for it and should never come apart. The switch works perfectly as it should and first turns on the bottom night light. Then the top light and then turns on both the top and bottom lights together. No problems at all with the cord. I will pack this very carefully in bubble wrap and shipping peanuts. The lamp shade measures approximately 5 5/8" tall to the top of the shade. The bottom is approximately 8" across where it sits in the shade holder or ring. Here is a Gone with the Wind Style Hurricane Lamp. This is an all White Milk Glass lamp with brass shade holder and brass bottom. This lamp measures about 20" tall with the shade and chimney. This pretty white milk glass lamp has a ruffled top fringe and measures approximately 10” wide at the bottom. The antique brass key is a 3-way switch for reading or a night light: top only. Both on(or off) and bottom only. This does have the glass chimney insert which measures 12" tall. There is a rust spot where the shade holder meets the white base(see last 2 pics. Antique Victorian Oil Milk Glass Hurricane Converted Table Parlor Lamp LOOK !!
Up for auction. From my own collection, a antique victorian milk glass hurricane table oil lamp that has been converted to electric. The lamp was converted some time ago as the cord and plug are vintage with some wear but still works. The lamp could easily be converted back to an oil lamp if desired. The lamp is stunning milk glass, embossed design with gold accents and a brass and cast iron base. There is also a brass section in the center of the lamp. There are no chips to the lamp, some expected loss to gold paint. This is truly a fancy hurricane lamp that would look great in your house. The lamp measures 21 1/2 inches tall not including the chimney. You may want to replace the cord but I will leave that to the buyer. Thanks for your interest and good luck! Has some cobalt crystals; very unique. DESCRIPTION& Beautiful hanging lamp with two tiers of crystals. Unusual in that some crystals are cobalt blue. I've never seen this before. Also neat are the two hangers on the sides with the medallion buttons in the middle. It was hard wired into the ceiling so has no plug. This can be easily made to plug into a wall outlet or best to have it direct wired again. That way you don't have the cord swag across a wall. Gas converted to electrical. Note: I had a question about the size bulb. I have to assume as with other hanging lights and table lamps that 60 watts is the maximum recommended.
