It is about 21.5 inches tall and the base is a 7-1/2" wide. The underside has an attached metal signature tag. It has great patina and although there are some marks and minor dings. Its nothing that wouldn't be expected for an old lamp. Antique c.1880's P& A Mfg. Co. Colonial Brass Oil Lamp with Milk glass shade and newly added clear glass chimney is in very good condition for its age with heavy patina and minor scratches on the brass base and some staining of the circumference of the lower solder joint where the base attaches to the reservoir. The Milk Glass shade has no seam and is rough ground and uneven on the top edge with minor scuffing along the bottom two inches of the shades diameter. The chimney is clear glass and newly added. The base stands at 11-1/2" inches tall with a 6-1/2" inch diameter base and a cast iron ring with four feet at the bottom underside. The shade stands at 6" inches tall with a 10" diameter bottom base. Total lamp height is 18" inches with a nice hourglass shape. The wick is round and moves freely as does the ... morereservoir oil fill cap. I have not filled the oil reservoir. For safe shipping purposes, nor have I tested this lamp. The oil reservoir shows no signs of any leakage, holes or deterioration and appears to be in very good aesthetic and functional condition. But as with any item of this age and fueled with combustible liquids. Proceed with caution if attempting to ignite this lamp in an outdoor location with the proper safety precautions in place! Beautiful Antique Enameled Brass Lamp By Horn & Brannen Mfg Co. Works Perfectly
You are bidding on a beautiful antique enameled brass lamp made in Philadelphia by the Horn and Brannen Manufacturing Company. The enameled portions are Robin's egg blue in color. It stands 30.25 inches in height from the base to the top of the finial. The base measures 6 inches square. the lamp itself is approximately 4 inches wide at the widest point. The original wiring has been replaced at some point. And the modern cord is 5 feet 9 inches in length. The enameled portions of the lamp are showing age wear with a few small areas missing the enamel. These areas are minimal considering the age of this lamp. See the pictures for detail. The brass is all in good condition just needing some cleaning. There is no shade, and the light bulbs pictured are to demonstrate that the lamp is in working condition only. The blow molded two part mold Glass Lamp has 8 panels and has a flower on the bottom. It shows a lot of wear on the bottom so was well used and well taken care of. Has old Clear Glass Chimney. Just add a wick and oil and it's ready to burn and use. Condition is very good. No chips, no cracks. With Chimney it measures 11 1/2" tall, Lamp is 5 1/2" at widest part. Burner is a#1. Antique Vict miniature Clear glass oil lamp, P&A Mfg Co w/chimn and green shade
Offered for auction is this circa mid to late 1800's miniature clear glass oil lamp w/ wick and chimney and a super case glass green and white shade with 3 pronged support. The knurled hand grip to raise the wick is marked The P& A MFG Co. Acorn( I think, very hard to read) The brass attachment to the font has some stress cracks in the brass. The font appears to be a 3 mold but the base is a 2 mold. Some roughness on inside of base but appears to be manufacturing flaws. Total height including chimney is 9 1/2" and the green shade is 3 1/2" wide. Top and bottom of chimney have tiny chips.
