AMAZING Art Glass Antique Lamp Shade Metal Base Irridescent Quezal? Loetz? LOOK!
Beautiful! Purchased this lamp along with other antiques from an estate of A Naval Rear Admiral originally from the Coronado California area. He had many wonderful items! I cannot find a signature on the lamp shade. Although I may be missing something. Also, there is no felt or bottom covering on the base. The socket is signed, but this is for the hardware manufacturer. Several antique dealers have looked at shade but no definitive answer. Except it is truly beautiful! Multi shades of color accented with a stunning irridescence. The underside of shade has the colors in their more solid form. And on the outside is this wonderful and captivating coloring. Amazing. The rim of shade has no chips, just slight roughness. Shade is excellent. The metal base does has some discolor here& there. The lamp works and cord is fine. If it is a replacement, ... moreit was done many years ago. NOTE The four spokes supporting the base for the shade may be able to be tightened. This part moves slightly if shade is touched. But I have no problem using this lamp at all. Remember. Though, that there is some play in this part. From base bottom to top of socket. 1940's Antique Western Cowboy LAMP Metal Cowboy Body with Hat Lamp Shade
Here is a very neat old lamp. I recently found it at a local estate sale. The stuff in this house was extremely old. This was tucked away in the attic neatly stored in a box. The lamp looks like a cowboy, it includes a felt? hat with feathers. The unit is made out of metal, it may be lead. The light bulb acts as the cowboy's head- I am not sure what the original bulb looked like- but a standard light bulb fits the shade(see pic 1 and 2) This lamp is working. It has a standard light bulb recepticle. The body measures about 10 inches tall, and 7 inches wide. The hat and bulb add another 3-4 inches. This unit has a cloth wound original cord(it is somewhat ratty) The lamp has a tan paint which I believe to be completely original. It shows some lights signs of handling but overall is 90% intact. I am not sure how old this lamp is, but it looks ... moreto be around 75 years(1930's-40's) old maybe older. It is in extremely nice condition for its age. There are no cracks, repairs, holes, dents or rust. The hat shade show some light wear but overall is very nice. I could not find any information as to a manufacturer. I could not find any picture or other detail about this item. I looked at 1000's of western lamps and and could not find a picture of a similar unit. I will offer it with a money back guarantee. If you found this at a nice antique store you would have to pay a fortune for it. You may be getting quite the bargain here. Robert Faries started making lamps and other accessories in Decatur. Illinois back in 1894 and continued until 1940's. This lamp has 2 adjustable arms with original brass wing nuts and screws. This lamp stands appx 15" tall to the 1st arm adjustment and another 10" to the tip of the clam shell shade. The 2 arms are brass tubes with wooden rollers in between the clamps for the wiring to roll over on. The base is very heavy and has a cast iron inner piece and covered with the brass you see where the FARIES name is stamped. The shade is not likely original to the base lamp but is vintage. And has been primed for the inside and painted gold on the ... moreoutside. The shade measures appx 6.5" in diameter. Base diameter is appx 5.5" and the long upright swivels around. Unique Old Lamp- Bottom Lights Too Up for consideration is an old lamp with bottom light in red painted glass. 4 way switch, metal cast bottom with 4 legs, chimney, and shade. Has a real neat look to it. The red paint on the glass has peeled off on some areas- still looks pretty much red though. The turn switch has 4 clicks, so am guessing it takes a 3 way bulb. The bottom/base light comes on on the 4 the click. The switch is a bit different in that it activates when the switch is in the middle of the click. For sale today is a real nice Antique Metal Ornate Table Lamp with an Opaque Fluted Glass Shade. The Lamp is still in great shape! I tested it and found it to work perfectly! The socket that holds the bulb is firmly attached and the on off switch works as it should. I looked but could not find any makers name or marks. But the number#23 was engraved in the bottom by the original manufacturer(see photos) The Lamp is heavy, and measures about 16 inches tall and the base is about 4.5 inchs. There are no chips or cracks in the Fluted Glass Shade. The Lamp retains the original, mellow and worn finish on all the metal parts. The electrical cord is also in great shape. The lamp is approximately 19" tall from the desk to the highest point when fully extended. The base is about 5" in diameter and has openings on the bottom so it can be wall mounted. The Round Shade is approx. 5 ¼" in diameter and is about 7 ½" deep; Electrical cord is 55" long and is in good shape. The whole thing is made out of metal and the"gooseneck" is easily adjustable. This Cherub/Angel/Putti Lamp is Colorful. Unique and Rare! The winged cherub/putti stands on a metal pillar and marble base holding a torch OF GOLDEN LEAVES FLARING OUT INTO A 3 LIGHT FIXTURE with 3 glass shades. Inside the lamps have cardboard fittings which also dates it. Art Deco. Authentic Period Lighting, interior decorators, bed and breakfast decorators and anyone wanting an authentic period lighting, this lamp could be yours! I have researched for several months now and cannot find another like this with 3 lights. It is a heavy painted metal with marble foot. It measures 24 inches in height. Top width is 16 inches. Base is 8 inches. Wt is heavy at 14 pounds. My best guess is circa 20s maybe earlier! I can see the original wiring at the bottom of the lamp where it has been spliced in a later decade. The original wiring is cloth wrapped ... moreor possibly silk and it has a sheen to it. Works as is. Have to plug it in to turn on. I can send more pictures which show the original wiring if needed. It works like this but you can see the splicing on the bottom so I would definitely have it rewired by your local expert. The last picture shows an area where the 3 cords come through and that area turns. I did not turn all the way and I don't know anymore than that. I have left it alone! The lamp has no serious issues. No breakage or repairs. Quite original with it's beautifully aged patina to the metal but has few areas of the paint scratched. Vintage French Brass Metal Shade Triple Candle Bouillotte Lamp
These French Empire Bouillotte Lamps make excellent student. Study, library or den table lighting. The Hollywood Regency designers are using them now also in their spaces. This one is a nice. Clean triple candlestick brass base with brass shade and metal mesh diffuser two light lamp. Push button switch at base turns On/Off. Very clean, very few concerns. I'd date this one to the late 50s/early 60s with original wiring(old straight prong plug) A detailed dusting in the cracks and corners and the metal diffuser at the top of the shade has a slight bump in it that causes the finial to look askew. It just needs to be flattened between some heavy books for a few hours and it will take any tilt you see in the finial out. Absolutely no dents, scratches, dings or imperfections of any kind to the brass shade. 18.5" tall from table to top ... morerim of shade. And 22.5" to top of large finial. 1920's RARE Pattern Bronze ALADDIN Muncie Bankers Desk Piano Lamp w/ Metal Shade
Here is an antique ALADDIN"The Wonderful Lamp" of Muncie Indiana. Piano, desk or Bankers lamp, comes complete with the original metal shade, no cracks nor damage at all, to the shade and none to the metal base. The lamp is patterned, I assume acid etched with a random but beautiful pattern, very rare and no 2 are alike, I have the taller version of this lamp as well. The last one of these I saw sell was at a live auction and it went for $200. I'm asking far less and this one is in better over all condition as well. Original socket retains the Aladdin sticker. This stands 7" high. Shade is 9" wide X 5" deep X 3.5 tall. Wiring seems fine, however, this is very old, so getting it checked out is always wise. RARE Antique LARGE Pierced Metal TABLE LAMP & SHADE Made SYRIA Early ORNATE
Up for auction is this rare antique pierced lamp and shade- very ornate and intricately carved- marked on both the shade and the base- MADE IN SYRIA. Being offered"as is as found" It is an antique and does need some basic work. The original silk lining is hand-stitched to the shade and also lines the bottom section of the lamp. There are some tiny holes and loose threads hanging and a bit of fraying and splits in the silk at the very top. This lamp lights from both the top and the bottom, there are individual pull chains for each section. We have not plugged it in to see if it is in working order, the wire is cloth wrapped- some of the wrapping is missing, may need to be rewired. The baluster shaped lamp base has no dents. The shade has 2 dents at the very top and the bottom is a bit out of round. The final is crescent shaped. This Original Antique Bankers Desk Lamp is made of an unknown metal which is NOT Magnetic. But I say Copper Shade? because a magnetic DOES sticks to it so that eliminated many lesser expensive metals. Industrial quality and workmanship has been put into it. The shade appears to lean a bit and I haven't try to straighten it since not sure how it adjusts. small candle lamp made in india for kolhs. sticker under lamp.11 inches high made out of brass the shade is made of very tightly put together beeds and a brass skeleton.the whole piece is very strong and steady.one never appreciates some thing like this until the power goes out for several hours.As it happened here this year.this is a restaurant style lamp still in use in high class restaurants.it uses does metal candle thingies, and I have a bag with 12 candles that come with the lamp.the lamp when lit does not put out a lot of light it is mostly for ambiance unless its totally dark then it is brighter.

Antique Pot Metal Man FABRICATION FRANCE Lamp w/Frosted Glass Stars Shade
NICE antique pot metal man lamp made in France. There is a small crack line to the left of the Fabrication France seal and a small hole to the right and up from the seal(as seen in the pictures) The frosted star shade just sits on top of the piece that he is holding. A glass chimney will work also instead of the shade. THE LAMP DOES WORK! The seal on the back reads: Fabrication France. Paris The shade measures 4 3/4" high and is frosted with stars cut into the glass. The entire lamp measures 19 1/2" high with the shade on. Without the shade it measures 16 1/4" to the top of the bulb socket.

ALABASTER TABLE LAMP BASE WITH METAL FOOT AND GREAT ANTIQUE SHADE
Great vintage lamp with alabaster base and metal foot. Cord is frayed beyond repair and will need to be replaced. Also. One of the chain pulls is missing. Overall height is 23 inches. The shade is 17 inches wide and 9 1/2 tall. The shade is not in great shape and you may not even want it sent. It is torn on the inside and there are some large stains on the inside and outside. One side of the stone base has a dark vein running through it which looks good, to me, but if you wanted a cleaner look, the other side could be facing out and it is uniform in color. UNUSUAL ANTIQUE LAMP WITH TWO TONE METAL DESIGN & GORGEOUS MICA SHADE
GORGEOUS ANTIQUE INLAID METAL LAMP WITH MICA SHADE This lamp with its matching mica shade is all original and it dates from around the 1920's to the 1930's and has a very stylish design! The lamp base has a lacquered finish that has quite a bit of wear and has deteriorated. It also shows some rust coming through. The base is made to look inlaid but I think it is some type of stained process. I am not really sure how that was made or what would happen if the deteriorated lacquer was cleaned up. The shade has 6 panels that are very dark and dirty from age and a few spots show pealing but all the panels are in good solid condition with no breaks or damage. The lamp has a nice Art Deco finial that is made of iron. This lamp measures 25" high by 16" wide in diameter. A wonderful lamp to add to your home decor! Thanks for looking.
