Hello. You are viewing my auction for a Vintage Victorian Style Angel Or Cherub Lamp. This lamp is made from a Brass Type Metal With Crystals. I am unsure of the exact metal that was used to make this lamp. There are three angels or cherubs in the center. This lamp measures 19 and 3/4" tall up to the top of light bulb socket. The base is 5 and 3/4" across. This lamp is in perfect working condition. There is a split in the metal on the base by the cherubs feet. I have shown a photograph of this. The brass metal center section sits slightly uneven from the base crystal. There is some minor wear present. There are no repairs or other breaks present. Description This is a stunning pair of antique metal lamps with original painted finish. Cherubs are beautiful and detailed. Lamps measure 29" overall- Cherub figure from feet to top of head is 17-1/2" Base is 9" in diameter. There is a logo or stamp on the part between the cherub's feet- looks like the fleur-de-lis but cannot read it- tried to show it in picture. Lamps are in good condition- no breaks but a few chips in paint as I have shown on one of the arms. Overall the finishes are in good condition- one is a bit duller than the other- probably exposed to more direct light. They are in original working condition but as with any electrical item they should be checked before using as screws can loosen during shipping. Its just lovely with 2 goddess ladies and this adorable putti at the base. Its signed on back Petit and its got a tab on front that read l'univers- so I assume this piece is French in origin. Made really well and really heavy and no missing fingers or toes, which is rare. There are holes in the hand and head of cherub probably where wires/attachments for lamp once were. Vintage Antique Putti Cherub/Angel Metal Heavy 3 Shade Lamp Rare Interior Decor
This Cherub/Angel/Putti Lamp is Colorful. Unique and Rare! The winged cherub/putti stands on a metal pillar and marble base holding a torch OF GOLDEN LEAVES FLARING OUT INTO A 3 LIGHT FIXTURE with 3 glass shades. Inside the lamps have cardboard fittings which also dates it. Art Deco. Authentic Period Lighting, interior decorators, bed and breakfast decorators and anyone wanting an authentic period lighting, this lamp could be yours! I have researched for several months now and cannot find another like this with 3 lights. It is a heavy painted metal with marble foot. It measures 24 inches in height. Top width is 16 inches. Base is 8 inches. Wt is heavy at 14 pounds. My best guess is circa 20s maybe earlier! I can see the original wiring at the bottom of the lamp where it has been spliced in a later decade. The original wiring is cloth wrapped ... moreor possibly silk and it has a sheen to it. Works as is. Have to plug it in to turn on. I can send more pictures which show the original wiring if needed. It works like this but you can see the splicing on the bottom so I would definitely have it rewired by your local expert. The last picture shows an area where the 3 cords come through and that area turns. I did not turn all the way and I don't know anymore than that. I have left it alone! The lamp has no serious issues. No breakage or repairs. Quite original with it's beautifully aged patina to the metal but has few areas of the paint scratched. antique shabby metal cherub lamp ~ SWEET~
This is such a sweet little lamp! I believe these were once oil or gas lamps. But most all of them have been electrified at this point. She is not perfect, and although she looks to have been rewired by the previous owner, I could not get her to light. She is securely attached at the base, but leans a tad bit to the left. I'm not sure what that is all about, but she's darling anyway! There could have been a repair made long ago. Or perhaps it is from when she was converted from gas to electric. If you look at the 4th picture you should be able to see what I'm talking about. The shade does not go with her. But I wanted to use it to show you how sweet she looks! Here is a lovely Victorian bisque lamp. Excellent quality details on the figures, the colors and the flowers. The adorable figures have beautifully painted faces and finely painted gold detailing. A soft, pastel hue hilights the soft bisque. The clothing sweeps gently across their bodies, adding movement and texture. Such sweet faces and tender embrace, barely touching the face and back. What a terrific boudoir lamp for a French provincial decor, or perfect in a little girl's room. I think the lamp was made in Dresden or Germany, based on other descriptions of the lamp but I do not know for sure. The quality speaks for itself. I have taken numerous photos. There is one small piece off the flower in the front, and I think some of the flowers in the bouquet are gone. I have seen similar lamps for sale, but this has a 3 TIERED PIERCED METAL ... moreBASE with lovely floral motif. This base( I am not sure if it is original) adds height and importance to the lamp. The metal has paint that is worn in many places- see photo. The scale is so much more balanced with the base, making it a statement piece that deserved pride of place in your home! Base diameter about 7" Cast Metal with 2 Putti Cherub Angels. No cracks or damages or repairs. Marble and Glass has no chips or cracks. Could use a good cleaning and strung with a new cord and bulb. This lamp is from a local estate. Very heavy metal with nicely detailed Cherub and base also has Cherubs surrounding it. Glass shade is ornate with clear& frosted glass with an etched. Puffy swirl design and fluted top, shade fits a little loosely in the fitter. Table lamp is in great working condition, glass has no chips or cracks, paddle switch on socket for on/off, There are some chips and cracks on enamel as seen in photo. Vintage Hollywood Regency Cherub Metal & Glass Lamp Base?
This is an interesting and lovely cherub lamp base? It looks like it possibly use to be a lamp. Yet the portion that holds the lamp shade is missing as well as a cord to define it as a lamp. I think that someone that knows more about this item could create a lovely lamp out of it or a candle holder. It has 5 hanging crystals/prisms or glass crystals; I'm not for sure about the exact type of material they are made out of. The little metal cherubs holding their arms around the bottom base are very charming. There is glass on top and a thick glass bottom on this vintage piece. I am selling this item as is since I do not know what the previous condition was or what may actually be missing. Antique cherub cast metal vintage lamp from Mr. Winter's estate NH light find
Up for sale is this great lamp which was discovered in a historical house of Mr. Winter's who resided in New Boston. NH. He had a great collection which most was donated but this lamp was given to me when the estate was liquidated. It stands 30 inches tall from bottom to top of where the shade would sit. It is heavy a cast metal I believe. It has a great pair of cherubs and great detail in each part. the cord is in good shape although old it is not frayed and lamp turns on and off great. The lamp could be tightened up a but each part moves around when spun a bit but I believe a pair of pliers on the bottom nut would tighten this up but sits well just the way it is. buyer to pay 7.00 dollars shipping due to size and weight goodluck
