AMAZING Art Glass Antique Lamp Shade Metal Base Irridescent Quezal? Loetz? LOOK!
Beautiful! Purchased this lamp along with other antiques from an estate of A Naval Rear Admiral originally from the Coronado California area. He had many wonderful items! I cannot find a signature on the lamp shade. Although I may be missing something. Also, there is no felt or bottom covering on the base. The socket is signed, but this is for the hardware manufacturer. Several antique dealers have looked at shade but no definitive answer. Except it is truly beautiful! Multi shades of color accented with a stunning irridescence. The underside of shade has the colors in their more solid form. And on the outside is this wonderful and captivating coloring. Amazing. The rim of shade has no chips, just slight roughness. Shade is excellent. The metal base does has some discolor here& there. The lamp works and cord is fine. THIS beautiful piece mystifies me and at the same time it is so nicely decorated that it mesmerizes me! I'm not exactly sure what it does- looks like it can be a lamp base or a jardiniere stand( you be the judge. The decoration reminds me of some european influence- very similar to decorations on inlaid sorrento boxes that typically depicts stylized birds amongst foliage. It is also bears similarities to islamic or persian style decorations. It is made of mixed materials of brass and porcelain. Title: Vintage Tiffany-Style Metal Lamp Base. Offering a vintage Tiffany-style lamp base. The base is from an estate in Southampton. NY and the exact age in undetermined. However, the base was used as a lamp in the home for more than 40 years. The piece measures 24 inches tall to the finial. It measures 16 inches from the base to the stem where the lighbulb would be attached. The base is 8 1/2 inches in diameter. Upon applying a magnet to the base, there was no magnetism present. The base is heavy and has an iron piece inside making it weigh approximately 20 pounds. There are no stamps or markings apparent to identify the maker. Unique Old Lamp- Bottom Lights Too Up for consideration is an old lamp with bottom light in red painted glass. 4 way switch, metal cast bottom with 4 legs, chimney, and shade. Has a real neat look to it. The red paint on the glass has peeled off on some areas- still looks pretty much red though. The turn switch has 4 clicks, so am guessing it takes a 3 way bulb. The bottom/base light comes on on the 4 the click. The switch is a bit different in that it activates when the switch is in the middle of the click. Antique French spelter metal lamp base with cherubs. This piece is 10 1/2 inches in height. 2 3/4 inches across the bottom and weighs 2 pounds 8.1 ounces. It is signed FRANCE near the base. It is in fair to good condition, with wear showing on most of the raised areas and it looks like there may have been another vine. There are two ground spots where it probably would have been attached that were painted over with the same finish that is on the rest of the piece. Estate Antique Wall Sconce Metal Oil Lamp Base
From a family member's estate an antique round bottomed metal oil lamp base originally for wall sconce mounting. It is in good condition considering its age. With scratches, lots of patina and in need cleaning. The glass chimney is missing. The burner has Eagle stamped on it. The wick adjustment knob says P& A MFG Co Waterbury. I believe this is Plume& Atwood. I measure the tank diameter below the collar at 4" The collar is about 4 1/2" in diameter. It is about 4 1/2" from the collar to the bottom of the tank. I t was used by family ancestors that lived in Hartford. Arkansas from before 1900. It has been in storage since rural electrification. Great vintage lamp with alabaster base and metal foot. Cord is frayed beyond repair and will need to be replaced. Also. One of the chain pulls is missing. Overall height is 23 inches. The shade is 17 inches wide and 9 1/2 tall. The shade is not in great shape and you may not even want it sent. It is torn on the inside and there are some large stains on the inside and outside. One side of the stone base has a dark vein running through it which looks good, to me, but if you wanted a cleaner look, the other side could be facing out and it is uniform in color. A soft, pastel hue hilights the soft bisque. The clothing sweeps gently across their bodies, adding movement and texture. Such sweet faces and tender embrace, barely touching the face and back. What a terrific boudoir lamp for a French provincial decor, or perfect in a little girl's room. It also is in pretty nice shape, but does have a bit of the black paint peeling off, and a couple areas of oxidation. These can easily be remedied with some touch up paint, and a metal protectant. I've used this lamp for years. And the electrical connections seem fine. I've never seen it flicker or shows signs of a short. I'm not exactly sure of its age. Charming. Antique vintage table boudoir lamp in original finish. Accented with colorful flowers. The harp is missing. But has the holes for a new one which is NOT included. Could also use a clip on shade. Measures 10 1/2 inches tall to the top of the socket and 5 inches across the diameter of the base. It has been rewired with clear gold wire and a cream plug. See pics. Antique Vintage White w/ Floral Motif Ceramic Dresser Lamp on Footed Metal Base
For sale is a very pretty ceramic white lamp with a multicolor floral design and metal base with four feet. It is 19 1/2 to the top of the finial and 12 1/2 to the top of the socket. It has ornate handles and gold accents. The lamp is in good antique condition: No chips. Cracks, or repairs to the ceramic; however, the metal base does have a repair(a portion glued back together) and the lamp is a bit loose on the base. The lamp also needs a bit of cleaning. I do not know what type of metal the base is made from, but a magnet does not stick to it. The lamp has its original wiring and may need to be rewired for safety reasons. CONDITION NOTE: All of our items are vintage or antique. So please realize that these items have been pre-owned and will not look brand new.
