This is an old antique 1920s era gold gilt brass with white enamel highlights bedroom lamp with lavender. Pink and yellow porcelain china floral roses. The lamp is 11 1/4" by 9" with a 4 1/2" by 4 1/2" base. The gold finish is nice. The lamp has its old original cord and is missing its lamp shade. The pink rose back top petal has a chip. Romantic French antique brass faience Kosmos Wild Wessel oil lamp cherubs light
Normal 0 21 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 A beautiful romantic French antique brass and faience(probably Choisy-le-Roi) oil lamp with a charming detailed design of cherubs and floral decoration on a cream background. It is mounted on a very ornate brass stand and dates from around the late 19th century(Napoleon III period) The'Kosmos' burner was produced by Wild& Wessel. A German manufacturer, between 1865 and 1899. The reservoir hasn't been tested and if you are likely to use this as an oil lamp, I strongly advise you to check that it doesn't leak before lighting it. The actual screw mechanism works well and is running freely; it is not showing any signs of blockage. It does not have its glass funnel although these are fairly easy to come by. There is a tiny bit of rust underneath the brass stand(see photos) ... moreThe pattern has been transfer printed onto the ceramic body and has then been hand coloured and then glazed. There is the same design on both sides of the lamp depicting cherubs/angels/putti/amours with a woodland floral theme. There is some staining on one side of the faience commensurate with its age and use and one tiny firing fault(see photos) As shown in one picture. This lamp will look stunning as a table lamp and it can be converted easily to an electric lamp by an electrician(the lampshade shown in the photo is NOT included in this sale) Condition: Good for its considerable age and usage Measurements(approx. height(overall) 33 cm– 15” body: Ø 13 cm– 5” An authentic lamp which is both charming and very decorative; it will certainly bring a touch of French romance to your maison. VINTAGE PAIR FRENCH CRYSTAL PORCELAIN ROSES BOUDOIR VANITY TABLE LAMP LIGHT
This is an old antique 1920s to 1930s era pair of glass etched lamps with porcelain china roses. Each lamp is 3 1/2" across base and 17" tall with light bulb inside. They have cream color older shades that are very plain and are 10" by 8" Each lamp has a pink and white china rose. Each lamp is missing a china rose and one lamp has a 1/8" chip on a facet that I did not notice till now. See closeup. They have beautiful roses and a classic leaf style design on the base. Do not ask me why the sockets are different color. The shades will hide that anyway. This is a lovely lamp set and looks great on display. They cam from a fabulous estate that was all done in French. Each bouillotte lamp has 3 candlestick lights which share a single bobeche. They are covered with a brass tole lamp shade. The center lamp column features lantern design with a single light in the bottom section. The lamp is wonderfully designed and features superb construction and details. Up for consideration is a fine Vintage/ Antique French Empire style Lamp made of Bronze and Onyx. Please note that the candle covers do not go with the lamp. The lamp measures about 31 inches tall by about 9 1/2 inches wide at the socket area. It comes directly from a good early estate and could use a light cleaning with a damp cloth to bring out the coloration. The casting is fine at the base with nice filigree work with 4 pawed feet below. The lamp has it's original silk cloth wiring. Muller Frères» unsigned circa 1920- Very large art deco lampshade molded pressed glass colored by uranium oxides. This globe is not signed but the pattern is known: the origin of the Brothers Muller is certain. It dates from the Art Deco period around 1920. The decor is typical of the Art Deco: stylized flower designs. Star bursts, rays of sun and triangles. The color is unusual: the globe is orange patinated. For uranium glass and vaseline glass. This color is rare but this lampshade glows green under ultraviolet light and it's well colored by uranium oxides. The glass is acid frosted but in some of the raised areas. It is lightly polished. It is about 28 inch long top to bottom and the light is about 7 inch across. the part that is up on the ceiling is actually about 7 inch deep and the chain and pendant make up the difference to 28. the glass is like a chipped ice and is curved as you can see in photos and it is individual panels not just one piece. from an estate we are currently working with. Hettier& Vincent A french art deco flush mount ceiling fixture made by the famous Parisian shop in art déco lighting Hettier et Vincent. Around 1930 HetV lanced a small line of chandeliers in a modernist style made with shades like the one of this ceiling lamp. It are pieces done in thick moulded glass with a acid engraved structure on the inside. The engraving is very deep. Over one millimeter, and the glass is even and glossy on the outside. High quality glasses produced for Hettier& Vincent by one of the top glass manufactories at the time. They make me think of Muller freres but there is no documentation to be found. All these shades are unsigned. At the end of this ad I show you a picture of a chandelier represented in the Hettier et Vincent catalogue supplement#6. The lamp is in excellent condition. For your consideration is this absolutely stunning Antique French? Victorian two-toned slag glass. I believe it is from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The lamp is beautifully ornate and exquisitely crafted and finished in gold with hand painted original detailing. The base of this lamp is made entirely of heavy metal throughout. Lamp has been professionally rewired with a new heavy duty cord. The pull chains are original to piece and are in excellent working condition. The lamp has slight normal wear in some areas as seen in photos. Lamp shade rod/ bracket has slight patina on it as seen in photos. Really unusual candlestick lamp. French"bouillotte" with adjustable shade, this is mostly all heavy brass and in very good condition with no flaws. I purchased this from an antique store, it had already been rewired but if you see the bottom of the lamp you can see that it's of older construction, appears to be 40s or before. The square brass shade gives this a wonderful Mission or Arts and Crafts feel, could be used in a country French room or a Mission style room just as easily. Works great as you can see. Takes a single candelabra style bulb with smaller socket, they can be purchased in any store that sells bulbs. Color is a taupe or beige with leafy wreath swags all around. They are in very good shape for their age, check pics as there is a spot of tarnishing on one of the gold gilted part of sconce. One shade also has one spot, and one shade is a little off round at top but would easily be bent to be straight, the candelabra fixture covers could be repalced also, check pics.
