They are hand painted in brown on the unique design. The inside top of the shade is rough with what seem like chips but it is the craftsmansh i p of these old shades. Antique Vintage Oil Lamp And 2 Frosted Glass Shades
NO RESERVE AUCTION for antique green glass oil lamp and a pair of stunning shades. These are not matched item- the lamp likely had a regular glass oil lamp shade on it. The 2 shades are pink and powder-blue. With very minor chips to the color at the bottom edge of the pink one, and a spot of black'smudge' on the bottom of the blue one. Not sure what the black is(tar maybe) but have not attempted to clean it off in case I damaged the shade. MID CENTURY REGENCY ROOM DIVIDER SHELF 2 ADJUSTABLE ARM LAMP BLOWN GLASS SHADES
We are pleased to offer this gorgeous. Mid Century Modern room divider, shelf and lamp unit! This fabulous unit features gilded metal construction(brass? aluminum? with a glittered finish. The unit is tall and rectangular with a vertical row of geometric circles in the center that extends from the top of the frame to the bottom for contrast. The top of the frame has a slightly"pagoda" profile appearance as it is upturned on each end. There is a side shelf tray on each side with art glass insets. The glass is beautiful. It is root beer in color with striations of gold, and some blue/gray. The glass is slightly seeded. The divider features two hanging lamps with original brass diffusers and blown glass shades. The lamp arms are different heights for added interest. The shades are delicate and fine(not thick or heavy) They are smooth ... moreon their exterior with a swirled interior. The shades are clear glass with a very soft gold to the swirled pattern. The glass does have a very large pontil mark on one shade and a smaller pontil mark on the other. The lamps have adjustment screws on each arm so the shades will lock in place at different angles. The shades are held in place with the large brass diffusers. The lamp has an on/off switch on the bottom of the room divider frame. The lamp operates with regular 60 watt bulbs(one per each arm) The bottom of the frame is raised with legs on each side. There are no manufacturer's marks or stickers but the lamp is quite nicely constructed and was a"higher end" lamp in its day(c1960s) It is in very good condition with only minor signs of age. There is some slight wear to the finish but only in a couple of areas and nothing distracting. The wiring is original but the lamp is working perfectly. The glass shelves are very good. PAIR (2) OF GORGEOUS EARLY 1900's ANTIQUE 4 PANEL ALL METAL FILIGREE LAMP SHADES
Found at an estate sale in South Florida this past weekend is a pair of lovely antique metal lamp shades. I believe this is a mixture of different metals. But a magnet does not stick to it. It is painted a beige color and they are very ornate. There are little pineapples in between each of the panels of the shades. They had very old silk material lining the inside of the shades, which were totally falling apart, so I pulled one of the linings out so that you can see the ornate design. These shades would be used with lamps having a rod and harp over the bulb. I was told that they were from the early 1900's, possibly around 1910. Aside from the disintegrating material, they are in excellent shape, except that I noticed when I was taking the pictures that one of the small pineapples are missing. However, this damage does not detract from ... morethe beauty of these shades. They also have a bit of grime and a bit of paint loss in and around the shade. Can be cleaned and touched up. There is some rougher feel to the glass where the shede meets the lamp or fixture and there is one small flake on the shade with the reverse painting at the very bottom edge but it is not unsightly. 2 Antique embossed glass Lamp shades hand painted White 1850 Forbestown Hotel CA
A rare pair of matching hand painted lamp shades they came from the Forbstown hotel they were rescuded from the fire. They have yellow brown eyed Susans painted on them on the embossed glass some slight paint missing and a small chip on the rim. The rim is 2 1/4" the bottom opening is 4" and one has some rough on the edge they are 5 1/ tall a great find. They could use some cleaning but I will leave that to buyer I tried to show everything in pictures. I will combine shipping.
