These are one of the finest and most ornate pair I have sold in a very long time with gorgeous large ornate Rococo style Candlesticks marked Wm A. Rogers. S.P. Lead. They are Silver Plated Lead which makes they very sturdy and they won't topple over easily which is important because the Ruby Glass Shades are very beautiful. The Shades are a Cranberry Flash with nice Fern type designs etched to Clear, much prettier than my photos show. The Hurricane Lamps are a great size for display and use measuring 10-3/4" tall over or 4" across the base of the Candlesticks and 3-3/4" across the top opening of the shades. The Silver Plated Candlesticjks are in amazing condition, bright, shiny and beautiful. The Glass Shades are also in very find condition with some minor roughness around the bases that are covered by the Candlesticks and one has a tiny crack that is only noticeable upon close inspection. My opinion is that the glass is Bohemian. It's quite beautiful with a heavy glass center that appears to be ruby red(I think, rather than"flashed" red) which is cut to clear in a geometric pattern. The fittings appear to be brass and the base/ foot is marble(with felt lining on bottom. A fairly large piece. The glass measures approximately 6" in diameter. The base is about 5" square. Not counting ... morethe finial, it is 18 1/4" tall. This piece appears to be in generally excellent used/old condition and- as you can see in the next to last pic- it works great. I don't see any cracks or damage on the cord. Either. However, I can not remove the harp. and I am not going to try to force it. The only damage I see is some green on the stem- discoloration or just needs cleaning/ polishing? Please do examine the pictures carefully but note that any bright white and/or yellow spots on pics are just glare/flash! Here is a gorgeous Bohemian ruby red& white cut glass coin lamp with a brass L&L base. Number 6784. It stands 34 inches tall, the glass itself is 18 inches, the base is 4 inches and the harp is 12-13 inches. The diameter of the glass base is 7 inches. It has very little wear on it and no damage with the exception of a slight nick in the base gilt trim line, see photo) its hard to see, its tiny! There are no paint losses or glass chips I found, and the cutting of the white to red glass is first class workmanship. There is no shade or finial on this lamp. Antique deep red. Cranberry/ ruby glass hall lamp with brass fittings. 19th century, circa 1880- 1890's. Measurements: The round ceiling attachment is 5 1/4 inches in diameter. The top glass fitting is 6 inches in diameter. The glass is approximately 8 inches in length. The bottom fitting drops about 3 inches not including the loop and 5 inches including the loop. Glass is a marvellous rich red colour and is folded in intervals of about an inch. The gold-coloured metal fitting are probably brass and look to be entirely original. On the bottom is a support with a ring and two decorated metal'prongs' that extend inside the glass and are attached to two ends of the chains. In this way. The lamp can be raised or lowered for changing oil or candles. The bottom glass fitting is decorated with moulded and openwork decorations. On the ... moretop is metal colllar with ruffled. Openwork, flaring rim. A pair of chains is attached to this. There are a number of screws for tightening it to the glass. Metal straps run down in decorated twists and turns from the collar. They are further supported by a decorated metal band that runs around the circumference of the glass. Decoration on these long bands is in the form of chased scrolls and foliage. The long chains are attached to the ceiling by a round metal fitting. Similarly decorated to the other metal parts. It has a pair of pulleys for pulling on the chains. One pulley has been replaced. The brass metal shade is decorated with a fancy pierced metal border and 25 strands of ruby and amber glass crystals. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a fancy ruby and amber glass crystal pull on the end of the chain. The glass part is 5 1/2" high and 3 1/2" wide. It sits on a marble base. I'm not sure if it works as I am afraid to plug it in- the cord is in bad shape and needs replacing. The glass part is in excellent condition with no issues. The brass stem is split in two places. The marble base has a small chip off the corner. Please be advised that shipping to Alaska. Gorgeous antique victorian cherub table lamp early 1900s* This is a beautiful antique victorian table lamp which stands 17 inches tall and 7 inches wide at the base. The lamp has been rewired and has a brass pull chain socket with a pretty glass bead and orange crystal pull. The metal shade has raised filigree decoration which has some loose ends but its all intact. The shade is also decorated with 37 strands of crystal lustres which include clear and colored strands. I used a short round standard watt light bulb in this lamp which doesn't extend down beyond where the crystals end. These decorator bulbs can be found in any home center or home depot. VINTAGE RED RUBY PULLDOWN HANGING CEILING OIL LAMP LIGHT
Vintage Red Ruby Ceiling Pulldown Light Lamp with Flute Found this really nice Vintage Ruby Red Pulldown Ceiling Light at estate. It is in nice shape overall. The glass is red. The metal looks to be a mixed metal with brass plating. The glass globe on the bottom is in excellent condition. No chips, no scratches off the red. The shade on top is in fair to good condition. The top rim of the shade has a 1" chip and another 1/2" chip in another spot. There is also some small specs where you can see the clear glass through the red- not noticeable unless your right on the shade. The bottom portion of the shade is smooth, the top has the flaws I mentioned above and is rougher from the cut when made. The metal brass plated ring is in good condition. It does have wear from age, but no damage. Electrically sound, with the cord and roll type ... moreswitch in good shape. There is no makers mark. The only mark on the light base is FPC 1350. If you are interested in two of these. I have another one listed, I could try and combine shipping if you want, or separately, whatever is less expensive to ship safely. The measurement are as follows: Height of Lamp with flute is 20 1/2" Without the flute is 17 1/2" The shade is 14" tall. 5" top opening, and 10" bottom opening where it fits into the metal ring. The flute is 10 1/4" tall The metal brass plated ring is 10 1/4" in diameter and 1 1/2" tall. There is an approximate 15" drop off the chain from the ceiling to the lamp. Then there is another 100 feet of chain and cord. Overall. As you can see, it is a very nice lamp. It still can be cleaned up with the brass plating, you can also put another bulb in for a dimmer lighting. I have a bright white light in there. Gorgeous one of a kind antique lamp from 40-50's in a deep cranberry red color. Red ruby glass with beautiful clear cut glass design. Top and bottom are bronze. Bottom has lovely design in the bronze. Base is real marble. Excellent condition. Lamp is quite heavy and solid. Base 4-1/2" wide. Lamp from bottom to top of glass is 10-1/4" from bottom to top of light socket is 14-1/2" There is no shade. You can use a glass shade or a regular shade-both work beautifully. Made of spelter on the lower half with the top half being brass. The shade is ruby red with very minor roughness around the inside of the rim-it may have had a brass ring at one time. A few minor scratches to the outside of the glass. I tried to show these but they are very had to see. The cherub holds a cornucopia and is standing with a fish on a very ornate base. Antique late 1800's Gone with the Wind Ruby Red Parlor Table Oil/Kerosene Lamp
I bought this lamp from an estate dealer. It came from an estate of a home in upstate New York. It is from the late 1800's- well over 100 years old. It is in very good condition. I have used it a bit and as you can see it lights up very well. I turned down the lights and lit the oil lamp so you can see how much light it throw out in the last three pictures. In the last three pictures I turned the lights out and it really illuminates well. The lamp to the top of it's chimney is 19" and about 6 1/2" at the widest part of the red globe. great lamp!

Antique Cranberry/Ruby & Brass OIL LAMP Banquet/Parlor Electrified 1850-1899
This is a stunning lamp and pictures just don't do it justice but be sure to look at all of them as they are part of this description. This is an oil lamp that has been converted to electricity with the on/off switch on the cord. The center cranberry or ruby glass portion has 1" x 2" panels all around it and sits on top a brass shaft atop a really solid ceramic base. The original knobs on the brass burner both have a sailing ship etched in them. The shade is a frosted globe with a brass looking rim and measures 10" high and 9" in diameter. The shade is the widest part and it stands 29" tall to the top of the chimney. It is extremely heavy. Weighing 8 lbs 7ozs, and will require some special packing and shipping so do not pay until you have received an invoice which includes the correct shipping. Antique Lamp Ruby Red BIM Glass Mounted on Marble Base 1930's?
Here is a great antique glass and marble table lamp. The ruby red glass appears to blown in mold with a spiral design. lots of cool air bubbles. And a great look. There is a brass rod that mounts the lamp to its marble base. As you can see, the electric cord is very old so I have never tried to plug it in and try it out.
