AMAZING Art Glass Antique Lamp Shade Metal Base Irridescent Quezal? Loetz? LOOK!
Beautiful! Purchased this lamp along with other antiques from an estate of A Naval Rear Admiral originally from the Coronado California area. He had many wonderful items! I cannot find a signature on the lamp shade. Although I may be missing something. Also, there is no felt or bottom covering on the base. The socket is signed, but this is for the hardware manufacturer. Several antique dealers have looked at shade but no definitive answer. Except it is truly beautiful! Multi shades of color accented with a stunning irridescence. The underside of shade has the colors in their more solid form. And on the outside is this wonderful and captivating coloring. Amazing. The rim of shade has no chips, just slight roughness. Shade is excellent. The metal base does has some discolor here& there. The lamp works and cord is fine. If it is a replacement, ... moreit was done many years ago. NOTE The four spokes supporting the base for the shade may be able to be tightened. This part moves slightly if shade is touched. But I have no problem using this lamp at all. Remember. Though, that there is some play in this part. From base bottom to top of socket. I dont think there are many around like this and its a shame that this one has been converted but could be put back to oil again with a little bit of work. Antique "Lectrolier Limited" Bronze over Copper Lamp, late 1800- early 1900 LOOK
This lamp is ancient. I had looked it up several years ago and remember it being one of the first electric lamps made. But unable to find anything about it now. It is unoperatable and needs complete refurbishing. There are some stress/ age cracks as seen in pictures. This lamp probably had a globe glass shade at one time. It is bronze over copper if I remember correctly from previously looking it up. The images I feel are of the great tragedy of the theater. Great theme. Anyway. Up for bid is this beautiful vintage Capodimonte style ceramic night light lamp. Beautifully made with 4 angels/cherubs and flowers all around. Lavishly gold painted. The lid comes off for easy lightbulb change. There are carved holes around the flowers and down those sections that are outlined in gold. It has a brass bottom with a push button switch. It is a nice light greenish cream color. The bottom is felt covered. I took lots of pictures including the few flaws it has: there is a mark on the base that seems to be on the surface. On the very bottom edge of the base there is a section where the brass has come off and bare metal is exposed. I also noticed a minute chip on the top of the finial so small I hadn't noticed until now. Antique Victorian Oil Milk Glass Hurricane Converted Table Parlor Lamp LOOK !!
Up for auction. From my own collection, a antique victorian milk glass hurricane table oil lamp that has been converted to electric. The lamp was converted some time ago as the cord and plug are vintage with some wear but still works. The lamp could easily be converted back to an oil lamp if desired. The lamp is stunning milk glass, embossed design with gold accents and a brass and cast iron base. There is also a brass section in the center of the lamp. There are no chips to the lamp, some expected loss to gold paint. This is truly a fancy hurricane lamp that would look great in your house. Arts& Crafts Period Roycroft Style Hammered Brass Electric Table Lamp Quality table lamp that appears to be all cast brass. Even the base plate. High relief floral decoration on the center front. Condition: No repairs or alterations. The Meteor brand pull chain socket appears to be original and it sounds like it is working. The brown plastic covered wire is later and looks alright but should be replaced. The plug. Also original, has to be replaced as one of the prongs is cracked at its base, which is why I didn't plug the lamp in and test it as I didn't want the prong coming off in an outlet. The finish on the shoulder and foot of the lamp is lighter than the rest, looks like someone started to polish the lamp and quit. Mid century modernist lamp bronze"Asian scholar. mounted on 9 3/4" by 5 7/8" by 2" dark wood platform. Bronze appearance, is somewhat magnetic when tested. Stands 11 1/2" tall, by 9" long, approx 4 1/2" wide. Surface grime wiped away with mild detergent, patina remains intact. Lamp fixtures appear to be completely original from the platform surface to the harp; harp assembly has some patina; switch and socket have definitely been replaced. Electrics are working. Pair Antique Crystal Hollywood Regency Baccarat look Lamp Acrylic
As you can see these lamps are beautiful. They are a french style with a lot of details in the crystals. Both lamps work nicely. The electrical seems in-tact with no issues. The cords are shorter as I believe these were meant more for display on a mantel or wall shelf. One of the posts is cracked, a couple of the larger crystals are chipped and one of the lightbulb covers is broken. There is a lot of detail to these and I've tried my best to reflect the condition in the pictures. I will take GREAT care in shipping them and will insure them also. Antique Bradley& Hubbard brass electrified oil style table lamp impressed on font top"The Rochester Pat Jan 15 1884. Sep 14 1886" The brass removable oil font fill cap is unmarked. Decorative brass lamp measures 11" to top of bulb socket with base diameter of 4" and oil font diameter of 6 1/2" The 7" tall original white milk glass shade, with spreader, measures 11" diameter x 4 1/2" top opening. Clear glass chimney measures 10" tall x 2 1/2" base fitter. When retrofitted, a 3 lb. Zinc plug was added in the bottom for weight. The chimney tangs appear to have been lead repaired. 1 small ding and some very minor scratches are barely visible on the oil resevoir. Please use photos fo actual condition.
