Century Purple Glass Lamp- Rare Color This listing is for a beautiful original antique early 19th century ... moreglass bell jar lantern lamp. This lantern comes with its smoke shield and is a beautiful very dark purple amethyst color(the lid is lighter in color but I do believe it is the original smoke shield for this lantern) It retains its original brass fittings and chain. The shield measures 10-3/8" across and the bell jar measures 9-5/8" high and 8-1/2" across. Condition is good. There are manufacturing flaws and irregularities in the glass(air bubbles and lines and folds in the glass on the lid. These are not cracks or damages but happened in the making) The glass has a few air bubbles that were broken through on the surface but there are no chips or cracks and no repairs. There is just the usual chipping along the opening hole in the lid where the chain comes through(that is normal for this type of lamp) One of the peacock heads has lost its little clip that folds over the bell jar edge(see pictures) but that does not compromise the stability or ability to safely hang this lamp. This lamp has not been converted for electricity and is in good original antique condition(even the glass is covered in age dirt, but I will leave the cleaning to the new owner in case they like the aged look) Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. These are caused by reflections of light on the surface and are not on the actual object itself. Please note that I am located in the Netherlands(Amsterdam. Holland) which means that this item will be shipped from Europe. Being offered for your consideration is a 19th Century brass kerosine lamp by Bradley and Hubbard. Sold brass base with all original fittings and burner as can be seen from the photo. The art glass shade rests on three arms. Strong colors. There is a minor early repair to the top of the shade about 3/4 of an inch as shown in the photo. The latter is only mentioned for accuracy of description. The opening bid in reasonable and is more than likely worth the price of the base alone. It can be converted to electricity; the base has been prepared for this. The class chimney appears to be original to the piece although I am not 100% certain on this. Allowing the lamp to be raised and lowered, on wooden wheels making for a noiseless raising and lowering operation. Fine quality Bohemian 19th Century oil lamp. Hand painted Sparrows fighting A truly stunning. Rare and fine quality lamp base. This is similar to the Aladdin type lamp where you place the oil vessel into the lamp as opposed to pouring oil directly into the lamp itself. A wonderful cranberry coloured. Faceted glass body with a white glass inside giving it an opaque look. The body being hand enameled with a pair of fighting sparrows a butterfly and I think wisteria. The base I think is gilt bronze or ormolu. The gilding has been worn away from too much cleaning but you can see the gilding on the underside. The base is cast with scrolls and vines around the feet, which is so typical of the Arts and crafts or Art Nouveau movement. Measures 27cm or 10.5" tall by 13cm across the top. I have never sen anything quite like it and I cant find ... moreanything like it either. It is obviously very heavy so the price quoted is for delivery within the UK. It is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for a very old kerosene hand painted glass and brass parlor table lamp. This lamp is unmarked as to maker but the burner is a Queen Anne No. 2. This one is 18" high overall. The brass removeable font seems to be in good shape though dented. Notice the brass holder inside the glass part has some age cracks in it but they don't ... morehurt anything. That metal was obviously very thin. The brass font is 6" high and 4" in diameter. The overall diameter of the glass part is 7 1/2" in diameter and is 7 3/4" high. The base is of cast iron. This elaborate parlor lamp is very old and likely the 1890's. Stands 27 inches high(including chimney) It has a beautifully hand painted porcelain/ceramic(vase) body signed by the artist(artist unknown) The base and stem are brass and has a smoked/etched glass globe top. Rare French 19th Century Porcelain Lamp
Here is a rare French porcelain lamp. It stands 17 inches with a total height of 38 inches. There are no identifying marks on the bottom, it is mounted on a solid brass dolphin motif base. The condition is excellent with no damage seen. There is light gold wear from years of cleaning. This vase was probably mounted as a lamp in the 1940's. The porcelain on this lamp is of very hard milky white hand painted quality. Almost hard to appreciate in photos. It has a three way vintage socket and wiring, all working well. This lamp will be double boxed and well padded.

For consideration is a gorgeous 19th Century tall and stunning Moriage hand painted and gold leafed ginger jar/jardiniere lamp with base of four guardian dogs-The lamp/jar artwork is various layers and boasts the most intricate and detailed work ever. This is an old antique 19th Century painted tole on metal French or Italian Bouillotte two arm table lamp from wonderful old estate done in a figural musical harp motif. It is 16" tall by 13 5/8" across top and the base is 7" by 3 3/4" It is a mustard color with a scene of figures at Roman like ruins. The scene is different on each side. It has the cord cut off and came with no shade. It has slight wear to the paint on a couple of edges not worth noting. See closeup. I also see a tiny 1/8" pinhead hoe on the base which has a 7/8" scratch with paint loss line that runs from the hole to the lamp body. See closeup. This is in wonderful condition for its age. Rare Late 19th Century Floral Dresden Urn Lamp Large
Offered is a turn of the 19th century Dresden urn lamp with wooden base straight out of an important historic Hudson Valley estate. The urn is porcelain with the incredibly detailed floral designs and lovely murals that made Dresden legendary. In 1902. Dresden Porcelain started marking their items with a blue"SP Dresden" insignia; this is not found on the lamp, either because it was made before the insignia was used or because the wood base is hiding it, but it is very obviously a Dresden piece. The lamp is full functional and simply needs a new shade(better for the buyer to choose on in keeping with your decor) It is 31" tall x 9" wide(across handles) and is an extremely heavy quality piece. The wood base is painted to match the rest of the urn but does have some paint chipping and symmetrical black markings. because ... moreof the intricate design. These minor imperfection blend quite nicely with the piece(see photos- we thought they were part of the design at first) The body of the piece is in immaculate condition with no chipping whatsoever. The glass oil reserve has a great design around it and is clearly stamped Patented July 2. 1872. It was converted to an electric lamp in the 1920's. Up for auction is this rare and unique mid 19th century floor lamp. It stands 42 inches tall and is constructed of hand painted brass. The figurine is beautifully hand painted plaster. The neck had a hairline fracture which has been professionally restored. The sockets are Paulding and are in great condition. The tassels are heavy material possibly metal beaded. 19th Century hand painted globe Success Oil Lamp converted to three way electric switch with built-in nightlight. 18 inches tall to the top of socket. You must supply the shade) Works great. Needs new nightlight bulb. The cord works fine but given its age I suggest having it retired for safety. On the top fitting. You can see how the oil tank was modified to accept a light socket, and welded into place. The oil tank is still inside the lamp, visible from the bottom peek hole where the nightlight fits. The 10 inch tall and 8 inch wide Globe glass is very thick and was hand painted with what looks to be pink thistle bush plants. The base is beautiful and stylish. Thus unable to find makers mark. The reason I have placed both GERMAN& FRENCH in the listing is the painting. The original painting on the front has a signature of"FRITZ" in gold letters, lower right HOWEVER the vase/lamp has a FRENCH PROVINCAL style to it. The young ladies featured in the artwork look very French as do their wooden work tools. They are taking a rest from toiling in the fields. The painting is exquiste with very fine details.
