Century Purple Glass Lamp- Rare Color This listing is for a beautiful original antique early 19th century ... moreglass bell jar lantern lamp. This lantern comes with its smoke shield and is a beautiful very dark purple amethyst color(the lid is lighter in color but I do believe it is the original smoke shield for this lantern) It retains its original brass fittings and chain. The shield measures 10-3/8" across and the bell jar measures 9-5/8" high and 8-1/2" across. Condition is good. There are manufacturing flaws and irregularities in the glass(air bubbles and lines and folds in the glass on the lid. These are not cracks or damages but happened in the making) The glass has a few air bubbles that were broken through on the surface but there are no chips or cracks and no repairs. There is just the usual chipping along the opening hole in the lid where the chain comes through(that is normal for this type of lamp) One of the peacock heads has lost its little clip that folds over the bell jar edge(see pictures) but that does not compromise the stability or ability to safely hang this lamp. This lamp has not been converted for electricity and is in good original antique condition(even the glass is covered in age dirt, but I will leave the cleaning to the new owner in case they like the aged look) Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. These are caused by reflections of light on the surface and are not on the actual object itself. Please note that I am located in the Netherlands(Amsterdam. Holland) which means that this item will be shipped from Europe. Made probably in the 60s. we purchased two from same estate, one is smaller. gorgeous detailing. A high end item, the dome is about 14" tall. Colours marvelous. One small area(see pics! was damaged in transport, it is about 1" and is repairable. we have the 3 small chips and any good craftsman can handle this. copper/brass chain and ceiling plate. A very fine antique. Circa 1920's, bronzed metal table lamp with caramel slag glass panel shade. The lamp retains the original dual brass socket cluster, pull chains, shade holder, and finial. It is in working order with new cord and plug. The matching filigree shade frame holds eight original glass curved panels, and eight original skirt panels. Lamp base measures 25" tall by 8-1/4" bottom diameter. The shade measures 8-1/2" tall by 19" diameter. Excellent condition: original bronzed finish, minor spotting on base. White metal without dents, breaks, or losses. All glass panels are without damage, and with all secure clips.

The crown shaped bowl is beautifully decorated with hand-applied enamel floral swags with gilt highlights. It is hung with a single tier of cut crystal arrow drop lusters and was beautifully made with a victorian style. This piece is stunning. What a find. This dazzling English piece is in good condition with some minor discoloration to the gilding. Two small chips are found on the top of the crown shaped bowl and two of the crystal prisms have been carefully repaired. There is some illegible writing found under the base. Up for consideration old leaded glass lamp. It measures 22.5 inches tall by about 19 inches in diameter. The lamp has the triangular mark cast in the upper portion of the lamp. The shade is unmarked and may or may not be original to the lamp. There is a collar or inner ring at the top of the lamp that matches the lamp exactly. The base is ultra heavy and is probably made of iron with an additional iron grill or lattice work weight. The base has nice form with vertical lines running top to bottom. The sockets and chains and wiring look all old and original. There may be a few small cracks to to 2 or 3 smaller pieces however they may be just lines of dirt. It is made of milk glass with brass hardware with a vintage patina. It has a white background with hand painted roses in gold and pink. It is 19 inches tall. The globe is in excellent condition. But the shade has a crack as shown in the last photograph. The base almost appears to have faces of a lion roaring. The lamp is not heavy, but the pieces will be double boxed and will be over sized.
