LOT# 72 Wonderful cherry blossom blanc de chine lamp that lights up on the inside and the normal lamp style too. Maker: unknown Circa: mid century Condition: Excellent working condition with a repair done to the top portion of the lamp(we picked some of the yellowing epoxy off so with a little more picking and some porcelain repair. You may mend it perfectly. A few holes in the inner paper liner but nothing major.it looks fabulous lighted as seen in the photos. It was produced inthe fourmaintraux Freres factory in Desvres. France. It was clearly originally a jug. A small hole was drilled in the side and a bronze socket fitting added to the top. Working great and recently re-wired. The fine Chapman Lamp has a black wood base and the"Jar" is porcelain or pottery and I believe of Chinese origin. This decorative ginger jar lamp was part of my mother's Oriental collection. She always called Cantonese. But now I'm seeing that the bottom of the wooden base is marked'Made in Japan 86-5. I'm not sure if the jar is Chinese and the wooden base is Japanese, or if she was mistaken about the jar. Regardless. It's a beautiful piece of functioning Oriental art. The jar itself is made of ceramic and measures 7" wide and 6 1/4" tall. The wooden base adds another 1" and the overall height including the modern fixture is 16" The linen lamp shade is new and compliments the colors of the lamp perfectly. Vintage 1920's Handmade Oriental Glazed Ginger Jar Lamp. The jar is in amazing condition with no chips or cracks present. All the original brass electrical hardware is still intact including the original finial. The wood base is also nice with a small split starting from the hole for the wire. Measures 9" tall(to the base of the light socket) the jar is about 8" diameter. Overall height is 21" to the top of the finial. The light will need to be completely rewired as the original cloth covered wire is in poor condition. There are many companies that make period correct cloth wire for an exact replacement. I took the lamp to a reputable local antique shop where I was told it was very popular to use vintage oriental ginger jars as lamp bases. They were very confident that the lamp dated to the 1920's. For consideration is a gorgeous 19th Century tall and stunning Moriage hand painted and gold leafed ginger jar/jardiniere lamp with base of four guardian dogs-The lamp/jar artwork is various layers and boasts the most intricate and detailed work ever. With many many symbols and heavy and bright gold leaf with huge florals of blanc de chine type porcelain-Super ornate and intricate and there are various designs as you go thru each part of the lamp/jar-At some point it was wired with an old bronze/brass fixture as shown, where oddly the cord sits at the mount?There are 4 guardian dogs/lions also in the blanc de chine that hold the body up-The side handles are reticulated flowers first in the grey ground and below in light yellow/mustard with flowers and branches that flow thru both with goldleaf flower holding square rings at sides-every bit ... moreof this jar/lamp is in relief-There are many different vignettes here and some of these marks appear to be symbols-but I cannot decipher, as I am not an expert-The condition for age is absolutely incredible with only one chip at one of the rings as shown-The dogs/lions have some age fade to the features but are still clearly recognizable and there is crazing from age-as shown I do not see a makers mark but there are many symbols thru out so it may be somewhere-The lamp/jar is truly a feast for both the eyes and hands as well because there is so much intricate beauty here and so luscious to run your hand over-I have not cleaned other than slight damp wipe down with water-cleaning is left to buyer This will be securely foam packed. PRICED TO SELL! Bid now- this is a buy it now listing- first bid always wins! ANTIQUE ORIENTAL POTTERY VESSEL VASE LAMP This lamp is completely refurbished and re-wired. Original cord was replaced with an authentic reproduction of an antique silk cord and period looking plug. Original shade was replaced with a new silk shade with oriental dragon motif on yellow gold background. Oriental tassel was added to the top of the finial as a playful accent. The brass parts show some oxidation and were carefully preserved in this state. Since the hole for the cord was not drilled but molded before the vase was fired I believe that it was made as a lamp and is from 1920s period. Ball Perfect Mason Canning Jar Oil Lamp Color: Aqua The aqua glass was blown into Ball Perfect Mason quart jar mold number"7" by the Ball Bros Company between 1923-1933. Please see the included photo of the Ball marks and their respective dates of manufacture. The jar is in excellent condition considering it is 80-90 years old. The age of the glass chimney globe is unknown. The burner/wick assembly is new and unused. The lamp is 16" inches tall. Besides being a functional oil lamp which can hold a quart of lamp oil which can mean many days of light during power outages. These oil lamps made from antique Ball Perfect Mason jars make for beautiful displays of Americana, attractive decorations and conversation pieces. They display very nicely on fireplace mantles. Asian Reticulated Pierced Brass Ginger Jar Urn Shaped Table Lamp, 32" Tall
This is a beautiful brass lamp with an ornate reticulated pattern featuring a large Asian mark and what appears to be a pair of phoenixes on each side. The lamp has a wonderful aged brass patina and ornate pierced ginger jar or urn shape. The neck of the lamp has figural handles- we're just not certain what the figures are. The lamp stands 32" tall to the top of the finial. The porcelain urn is about 22" tall. The lamp is in good used condition with just one small dent just below one of the handles. The bronze pedestal has an aged patina and moderate discoloration, possibly corrected by polishing. I will leave the choice to polish up to the new owner, but it looks very nice the way it is. ANTIQUE FRENCH STYLE CONVERTED OIL LAMP AND POWDER JAR
I purchased this LAMP at auction in the vacated home of Al Hirt. It is unknown whether the LAMP actually belonged to Al Hirt. The powder JAR was purchased separately sometime later. Both are the very same style and color. With the 3-D pastel flowers. These flowers are VERY FRAGILE, and several have broken off through the years. It is hard to tell how many because there are so many flowers and they are very small. It is also hard to notice the damage unless you look closely or know ahead of time. The LAMP has been electrified from an oil LAMP. It is about 9" to the top of the bowl, plus an inch and a half for the metal cap/globe attachment, and the globe is about 8-1/2" tall. The powder JAR is about 5" +. The JAR also has some missing flowers.it's just too hard to tell how many. I tried to show the worst area of damage on ... morethe LAMP in the close-up pic of the bowl. No marks on the bottom. I have listed the shipping as flat rate in the USPS large flat rate box. THIS IS AN ESTIMATE. The eBay auto listing put a range of $18 to $46. This was just too vague. ANTIQUE CHINESE GINGER JAR CINNABAR LAMP WITH BRONZE MOUNTS This lamp is just gorgeous! This cinnabar vase is just unbelievably detailed with deep carving and intricate work. The bottom is marked with a paper label that reads. Made In China" with and inscribed mark of"China" This cinnabar piece has people walking thoughout trees and mountains! The bronze base is just beautiful and is of Chinese decent with a gorgeous Chinese motif, and is also marked"China" on the bottom. The top has a nice brass double socket and the silk wiring is in good condition. The ginger jar itself is about 10" high and the lamp measures from the bottom to the top of the finial about 20 1/2" high. The cinnabar is in pretty good condition but there are two little spots that are cracked and lifting slightly with a tiny piece of cinnabar ... moremissing and another small spot that is missing some cinnabar, see last two photos) Also, it is very dusty. A wonderful lamp from at least the 1920's or earlier that will make a great addition to your home decor!

This is an incredible antique Persian Art Deco Lamp with antique pottery Jar. Pottery jar has one patched hole. A big chip to decoration above that hole, and a round loss to decoration on another spot, look at all images closely) One light bulb socket sleeve is missing. 1910 patent date on remaining sleeves. Nut on bottom of the lamp is missing. Someone attached new wire to old wires maybe 20 or 30 years ago. New wiring job looks pretty poor even though all 3 sockets are working. Buyer may want to have this professionally rewired. No damages to the beautiful enamel work. About 27.5 inches tall in total.
